    You need to learn some history. What you are laughing at is the best and most efficient horse that has won for 200 years. She attacked forces up to 10 times her size and won. Near Vienna, she saved Europe, 18,000 of King Jan Sobieski's cavalry defeated 300,000 Turks and pushed her away from Europe. It's called "Hussars".

      "1226 - Bringing Knights of Teutonic Order to Poland to help fight agains Prussia"
      against the pruz. they were slavic. prussia (part of germany with capital Königsberg) came later and they were german/slavic.
      the Name is misleading, same like rus and russia.
      "1000 - Congress of Gniezno. The German Emperor Otto III came to Poland"
      at that time Poland was part of the holy roman empire of german nations. Made independent, most likely to fight an agressive tribe in the east. at this time the kivian rus, because russia at this time was just a swamp.^^

    The wings on the hussars were very effective at terrifying enemies. When mass of horses rushed at you with high speed the wings whistled really loud. It made the effect as way more bigger army rushed at you. It was the best strategy in pre cannon times.

    • @piotrsodel3077
      @piotrsodel3077 3 місяці тому +4

      According to research, it was different. At the beginning there was a 3m lance, and later, when the infantry was equipped with similar hussars, they used a 6m lance attached to a horse. The same with weapons, they added new elements even when firearms appeared. Firearms were not effective and did little damage to the scattered soldiers. As for the wings. At first it was one wing and later 2 pieces. This gave protection against someone jumping in the back and trying to kill the rider, and besides, the rider looked huge. At the end of the lance was a pennant that made noise and fluttered about. Unaccustomed horses simply got scared. These were the terror effects of the attack. The key was the rider's final speed. That's why they used Turkish saddles and front armor. The back of the huras was protected with leather, so it was hard and light. It was all technology. Something like a tank today.

    in 1772, the partitions (forceful taking of territories) of Poland began. Three countries partitioned Poland: Russia, Prussia and Austria. for 123 years, Poland did not exist on world maps, and the invaders tried to destroy the Polish nation (e.g. the use of the Polish language was banned, Polish art and science were destroyed). Poland regained independence only in 1918.

    Fun Fact: the winged hussars were considered to be the most feared heavy cavalry in the world at that time. They were also the spearhead unit, over 3000 of them in the world's largest military cavalry charge in human history. 20,000 riders crashed into a force of 120,000 infantry Ottomans at Vienna. One Eye witness, an Ottoman wrote the experience, quote, "They look like storm clouds, bristilling in armour and weapons, it was like a tide of black pitch rolling down the hill crushing and burning everything in its path". We Poles are proud of these men who were undefeated, never lost a battle for nearly 300 years. They are a symbol of Poland's Golden Age. They are the equivalent to Japan's Samurai but Polish.

    6:03 Those are wings, hence the name of this formation - winged hussars. One of the most epic cavarlies in the world :) The noise made by the wings is told to have scared the enemies' horses, but it also made a group of the charging winged hussars look much bigger than they actually were (they were often outnumbered e.g., like 2 hundred riders charging at 2 thousand enemies).

    6:15 its winged hussars...best horsemanship in Europe. Our King Jan 3 Sobieski saved Wien from Turkish invaders. This element you laughted its not on head, its on back which has been remembered in history as the most characteristic symbol of the hussars, was not just a decoration. On the contrary, the wings, made of wood and feathers, had a psychological function - they were supposed to scare the enemy.

    The man who drop some coins for people it's not slavery. They called Szlachta wyższa warstwa społeczna, wywodząca się ze stanu rycerskiego w społeczeństwie feudalnym. Szlachta posiadała zespół przywilejów społecznych, z których najbardziej podstawowym był przywilej posiadania ziemi. Przynależność do szlachty łączyła się z obowiązkiem służby wojskowej. W 1790 r. we Francji zniesiono tytuły oraz szlachectwo dziedziczne[3]. W Polsce szlachta jako stan społeczny zniesiona została na mocy konstytucji w 1921 r.

    There was no slavery in Poland and we did not have colonies,it's still communistic way of thinking. We have serfdom, but it was not that bad as it's shown in the animation. Poland was very multicultural and tolerant country. Polish peasants did not have the status of a slave, in Russia yes. And the serfdom in the begginig, in medival Europe, was a good thing, when the knights were at the war fighting for safety of their country,peasants were taking care of knights fields.
