I can lift my Honda Gold Wing 1800 myself. I am 5 for 2 and 130 pounds. We were taught how to do this in a motorcycle safety class when I first started to ride. Oh ya I'm 78 years old.
I rode Gold Wings most of my adult life; my last one weighed in at 980# also! Those crash bars helped with a more gentle landing I'm sure... There is a well-documented process for standing one of them back up by yourself. It is very possible as I've done! I know you had crew help and it got done but consider learning how to do it with Tara and Daisy cheering you on! Ride safe..!
I’ve been living vicariously through you guys for a couple years now. All I can say is I would trade one of my weeks for a rainy, windy week where you’re anytime. In my opinion, even the bad times you’re having are better than a lot of people can wish for. You guys are blessed and I love all three of you, and of course Tara, I’m praying you feel better! 🙏🏻🇺🇸
So glad you enjoyed what you could. We are building a new house in Columbia, just south of Franklin and Leipers Fork. So much to do there and the roads are great for riding. Pucketts is a fantastic restaurant too so you should try it next time. The one on the square in Columbia has music several times a week as well. Feel free to get in touch with me next time you are nearby and I'll take you on some great roads to ride.
My son works in Franklin, TN! We just returned home (to so. Ca.). . He drove us along that same route! It is a beautiful part of the country! ❤. Feel better, Tara!
As you put this video out today 11th that's what's happening here in Las Cruces NM winds are thru the roof 28 miles to 30 very high here all day. Stay safe out there. I'll have to travel out there one day it's so beautiful. I need a vacation already.
Chad, a cover on a motorcycle is more like a parachute for capturing the wind under it and tipping over a bike. Been there with my 1200 Goldwing and found out that it's far better to take the cover off when the weather goes south like it did for you. I had my half cover on my Victory Cross Roads in Louisiana last summer and ran into some truly obnoxious winds - took the cover back off and the bike did fine. Got filthy, but never came close to being able to tip. Beautiful small towns - thanks for sharing them with us!!
I'm so sorry you had all of these issues when you were in Nashville. I guess sometimes it just happens that way. You'll have to come back and give us another chance. Lynn and Danny
I have found Rain X car wash soap to be the best to wash your RV with! it’s completely streak free and cheap! And you don’t have to go to Nashville to get it, which is a bonus!
Chad and Tara I love when yall go to these small out of the way places and share the history. The state highways have some of the most beautiful places. I hope Tara gets to feeling better and I hope your bike wasn't scratched up from fall.
Well you know that we are all wondering what the condition of the bike is. I hope it was ok and that you filmed any repairs. Thanks for the great content Tara. Great job as always.
The bike is good. 👍🏼 The highway bars up front and the bars protecting the bags saved it. Not a scratch on the paint, but the front brake handle had the end broken off. Still functional, but I'll need to get that fixed.
We like the way you guys look out for one another and Daisy❤️ Chad got back with the meds just in the nick of time ❤️🌧 We took a weekend trip to Franklin / Lepers Fork in June of '23 and had a very good time. It was right b/4 my b'day, and the turquoise shop 'happened 2b open' 😉 My hubs got me a beautiful 💍. The quaintness n friendliness of the ppl made it worth the sweltering heat.
I just wanted to take a minute and thank you two! I would say that about 90 percent of the music I listen to is from searches I do from your videos. Absolutely love your choice of your music. Thank you!!!
Last March we had just pulled into our RV spot in Kerrville, Texas, barely got set up and a wicked storm came roaring in. I could hardly even open the door on our Solitude to get inside. About a minute later we heard an alarm chirping steadily and didn't know what it was. About 10 minutes later after the craziness had passed I went outside. The wind picked up our brand new CVO Street Glide and moved it about 6 feet. I realized I had made the mistake of putting the bike cover on it and it made it like a darn sail on a ship. Sorry that happened to you guys.
We were going to stay at that RV park but when I saw the daily price I said nope as my wife and I were staying for 2 to 3 weeks. We ended up staying in a nice little town called Smyrna. Little did we know we were right up the road from Murfreesboro which is where the Stones River National Battlefield!
Boy, that sure looks like a nice place to stay. It's too bad the weather was terrible. It's nice to see the summer videos now that winter is settling in. Hope you guys are doing well!
Our Daughter lives in Nashville so we frequent there a lot. Highway 55 is an awesome restaurant not to mention the Bourbon selection they have. Always have a good time in the area.
Enjoyed your reviews and especially the visit to our town - Franklin. Don't let the weather discourage your return to the Nashville area. Wish you both safe travels to your next destination.
I’m so glad you guys went to Tennessee and i got see other parts. I didn’t have a good experience in Nashville last summer. I’m definitely looking to go back and check the places you visited. Thank you
As for washing the Rig, I wash & wax at the same time, with the waterless Aero Cosmetics Wash Wax/All. It's just on aircraft, so I thought I'd give it a try. I now also use it on our 'towed' and both come out looking like new. Put it on with one, dry it off within seconds after, never had a problem. I even clean my fibreglass roof of our Tiffin with a regular quality car wash, then use the Was/Wax all, and you end up having to be careful, as it's slippery after doing it. I too have a long pole as you do, and similar mats which Aero Cosmetics sells (I too have the same pole you have Chad) thus making it easier to do the roof. I also have the 303 which I use on tires and other rubber components on our motorhome, making them all look like new, yet holding off the UV rays, albeit I also have tire covers if staying for several days. Check out the reviews on this product when you have some time, I got mine on Amazon.
Next time you are in Nashville, make sure you visit the Bell Meade Plantation. You will not be disappointed. Guided and unguided tours, wine tasting/pairings,bourbon tasting, you will actually make the cocktails, and the have a great cafeteria with great southern cooking.
You are the man pulling that long 5th wheel I pull a camper behind my trike and get into some tight. Spots but nothing like. You. The good thing is my trike doesn't blow over!
I have only one comment to make about your “dirty” RV. No, we could not see the spots & streaks due to the MIRROR IMAGES OF YOUR NEIGHBOR’S RVs!!! Seriously, Chad, your idea of a dirty RV is everyone else’s idea of AN AWESOMELY CLEAN LOOKING RV!!!😉
Ok I guess we need to make a note about that campground for our next visit to that area. Franklin is one town that Diane always brings up as being one of her favorites since our going fulltime.
Hey Chad and Tara! Sorry i havent been following you. Im the guy with the 2019 Indian Roadmaster like Chads. My wife and I really loved to ride everywhere. About 15 months ago, my wife, and best friend passed away after a heart attack at 59. Ive been so lost, but on the right track now. Chad, have you had your windshield stop working? Polaris put a plastic part on aluminum worm gears which will eventually wear out. I bought an aluminum part online, just got hold of it yesterday. I see you upgraded your truck and a New Trailer! Nice! When will we see the Indian rolling with video? Sorry to see the wind blew it over, Ouch! Take care!
I have relatives in Franklin who we've moochdocked with a few times and have also been to Puckett's. Their brisket and the Nashville hot chicken are excellent.
Just FYI: a very large cover on a Harley makes a wonderful sail for straight line winds. Would've been fine (and upright) without the cover. 45 years a licensed rider and 3 Harley's in my garage.
I am just blown away that you wash the rv right at the park next to the lake!! I don't think this is environmentally safe to rinse those chemicals into the ground. Could you go to a self-wash car wash that has a bay large enough for rvs?
Great town and great way you present everything. I am surprised that you did not see any old gasoline pumps with the glass on top. Of course they are older. You might ask why the glass was on top and the fact is people did not trust the gas station so the attendant, that was me, would pump 5 gallons of gas into the upper part of the pump and let it go down into the car so you know you were getting what you paid for. Boy have times changed…
We overnighted at a HH and had a tire problem last September near Franklin. The big truck tire repair center, in Franklin, was nearby. The manager was friends with Brad Paisley and played golf with him often.
Happy New Year ya'll. Really sucks to go someplace nice, and the weather doesn't cooperate. And it double sucks when the weather is bad and you don't feel well. Hope the new year is a good one for ya'll and hope you medical issues stay small or go away, Tara. Ya'll have done this enough to know that there is a lot you can control, some thing you can't control. Make the best of what you've got or drive yourself crazy. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels to these locations. 👍👍
Great music choices. You might consider one of the 350-450cc dual sports as time goes by. Gravel road capable and more than 50% lighter and cheaper........and much easier to load and off load.
Several years ago we visited that area and it just so happens we had lunch at the same place and I had the green tomato and pimento BLT .. I have craved another ever since that day. MMM MM good.
If that was this week that the bad storm went through I was watching the radar and never seen a front like that. When it was in the Midwest it was snow up north to heavy rain in the south. Once it hit the East Coast it went from Maine all the way to Cuba, it was VERY scary looking! Watching the video again I see it was in August from the date on the parking receipt.
Beautiful RV Resort. Have been there and really got lucky to park on the point. Going Back this April. The people are very nice. Lots to see and visit. Great video. All ways enjoy your videos. 🙏
We were just in Franklin, TN in October. We parked the fifth wheel on the farm with the granddaughter and her family. Love the area and have considered moving there. If you guys ever get headed towards Salt Lake, UT dinner is on us. Love your videos and safe travels.
Hey Chad the cover is what tip the bike over the wind took the cover and the cover got caught on a peg hande bars or something and bam down went the bike
Nice video. Sorry Tara was not feeling the greatest and that weather was scary. Cool, but scary. Beautiful resort park you stayed at, at the end. Those charming towns were so pretty. We have some similar areas here in south central PA.
At 14:10, did the taps work? I hate you had bad weather, but it looks as if you made the best of it. And again best wishes and safe travels and thanks again for sharing
OMG we had the same site.over the summer. What a PITA to back in with a big rig. And you guys are longer than us. They should definitely restrict what size books that site.
Hey I just subscribed to your channel. We just bought our first 5th wheel camper and have been checking out UA-camrs about anything to do with rv and camping. After checking out a lot of channels… you guys got a great channel, you guys won over a lot of UA-camrs . And for the record we our UA-camrs also. We appreciate up front content no beating around the bush and truthful. Have enjoyed every video so far good work . Hood your bike is ok. Thanks for being upfront and honest and sharing your content .
Nice job. I thought however that you can’t really wash your RV in most RV parks. We see it in the park rules all the time, unless it’s an outside RV detailer.
If you come back to that area of TN again. I have a person that is very cheap to ceramic coat an RV. He does all my vehicles. But he does private planes too. So easy to clean with that on there and make the paint pop so much more. It's also like adding an extra hardness layer to your paint. Not sure if you have that coating yet or not, but if you or anyone in the area of Nashville would like his contact info just reply to this comment. Thanks and enjoy your videos
Just down the road about an hour. Is Hohenwald. Favorite place to eat is at the junkyard dog. Great steaks and the best okra ever. Also great riding on Natchez trace.
The bike is good. 👍🏼 The highway bars up front and the bars protecting the bags saved it. Not a scratch on the paint, but the front brake handle had the end broken off. Still functional, but we'll need to get that fixed.
Franklin is historically significant to Civil War historians. It was what many consider the end of the War. there are two places to visit if the war interests you. Don't miss the Carter House and the Carnton Plantation home. You will never forget it. Great video and Ride Safe guys.
I feel for you about Lucille blowing over. Several years ago my covered Kawasaki Nomad blew over in a bad storm with straight line winds. Amazingly with the engine guards and saddle bag guards only a small scratch on the end of the grip occurred. It wasn't fun pickup it back up while getting drowned by the rain.
Totally enjoyed this. Keep San Diego in mind. I'd like to treat you to a terrific burger at one of our most treasured little dive bars in Pacific Beach. Rocky's. Happy travels!
Cute dog, handsome husband, what happened to the beautiful bride? I have no idea what you guys missed in Nashville, I've only ever been to the race track in the city. But it's a cool old racetrack it you're into that sort of thing. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
That spot on the water looks awesome. Sorry you had bad weather and had the bike blow over. Tara hope you have a good 2024 health wise. Hope you both stay healthy and blessed. Safe travels.
Good video guys, lots of good info. Been to Tenn. more times than I can count and always seem to miss Franklin. After seeing this we will hit it next time. Love the music makes like you are there, I get it not your type but if listen long enough it'll grow on ya. Thanks
What a nice RV resort. How do you guys find these places? When we were in Nashville we stayed at a much less nice place, but we still had a blast. Going to have to stay here when we make it back some time! Great video and happy new year!
That wash looks familiar. I think I've seen another promote it. Hummm May have to try it. My Harley Ultra (aka Amber) is like Lucille. Full touring and way over 900 lbs. I've picked it up by self after setting it down (in the dark) thinking the kickstand was down. Not easy. Luckly the crash bars protected the rest of the bike. Hope the cover kept yours from being scratched.
The bike is good. 👍🏼 The highway bars up front and the bars protecting the bags saved it. Not a scratch on the paint, but the front brake handle had the end broken off. Still functional, but we'll need to get that fixed.
Sorry that your bike blew over I hope it wasn't damaged too badly I noticed it blew over on the right side opposite the side stand. I have a cruiser temporarily setting outside, I put a jack stand under the right side of it so it wouldn't blow over. I've seen a few motorcycles that were blown over it's always on the right side.
The bike is good. 👍🏼 The highway bars up front and the bars protecting the bags saved it. Not a scratch on the paint, but the front brake handle had the end broken off. Still functional, but we'll need to get that fixed.
Long Hunter State Park is on the other side of that lake. And Cedars of lebanon State Park is just north of Franklin, very beautiful with a nice campground. My wife's Harley tipped over into my Harley inside the toy hauler once. Not my finest moment.
Sad. I was picking up my ATV, opened the TH Garage and the HD Softtail was on its side (not scratched due to the California Car Cover soft flannel). I feel your pain.
We're going back and forth on whether or not to go with a dually or srw truck. I understand the towing capacity between both of them and the only thing that makes me hesitant with the dually is parking and finding space at places while visiting. Has a dually made it difficult while traveling full-time at any point?
We would like to know what time of year you are in the places you go. we vacation in our fifth wheel for seven weeks through out the year. We really enjoy your channel thanks for the entertainment

The wind blew over the bike 💨🏍 and some guys came over to help. That was a wow!😮❤️💙
Most RVers are very friendly and willing to help out neighbors in need. 😊

My son works in Franklin, TN! We just returned home (to so. Ca.). . He drove us along that same route! It is a beautiful part of the country! ❤. Feel better, Tara!
One reason why i like campgrounds...a good majority of the people come together as one. Like one big family.

Next time in area The Natchez Trace is nice drive from Nashville to Louisiana. Camping available along the parkway with lots of historical sites.
Thank you for sharing your travels.I also have days I need to stay in bed just know your blessed in so many way.
Hahahaha! "Walkins only" 😄 Very nice homes in Franklin! Looks like a neat town. "Dear Brain. . . please shut up!" LOL. - Michelle

Sorry that happened to you guys.
I have been to Franklin TN it has an amazing square and antique shopping area
Beautiful towns and rv resort. Safe travels!

Ok I guess we need to make a note about that campground for our next visit to that area. Franklin is one town that Diane always brings up as being one of her favorites since our going fulltime.
My heart when you set your washing pads down on the concrete. Good way to get some dirt and such stuck then scrub against your paint with them.
Site 15 at Elm Hill is great for backing in, the only drawback is that it is very tight to the sight next to it. Its great if you have good neighbors.
Beautiful town in Franklin, Tennessee, and you narrate it so well.!! Thanks
Hey Chad and Tara! Sorry i havent been following you. Im the guy with the 2019 Indian Roadmaster like Chads. My wife and I really loved to ride everywhere. Happy New Year’s guys, that was some absolutely beautiful towns and scenery. Thank you for taking us along, look forward to next video. Thank you.😎👍
Love the music you play on your channel! Thank you!
I enjoy your video.. My wife and I love the Iris bar to eat in Franklin...Best Burger I've had and the Rubin sandwich was awesome.
Don’t know if you’re bourbon people but you were very close to Leiper’s Fork and Company distilleries. We stopped by both when vacationing in May.
We are back in the Florida Keys for the winter. Luckily, hurricane season doesn't start until June.🙏

Hope Lucille is not skinned up to bad. We seem to forget how powerful wind and running water can be.
Thanks for the video.
Great video, love you all!
If you enjoy history visit the Carter House and Carnton Plantation next time you are in the area.
Franklin is really pretty at Christmas. Maybe stay at a B&B.
Like your videos , we got a similar size camper, definitely appreciate your detail descriptions of trailer park accessibility for larger units
We've used RV Trip Wizard since the beginning and still love it! We can filter by ratings, amenities, etc.
Actually I thought your RV looked very shiney clean like you had washed and dried it.

If you ever get a chance. Come to Cave City Arkansas that last weekend in July and see the Watermelon Fest. It a neat little small town festival
Awesome channel! Keep up the good work!!

Our first Nashville visit wasn't the best either...they had a lot of construction going on plus the weather didn't cooperate!!..
Next time you are in Nashville, please try Hattie B's. Their hot chicken is truly superior.
I don't think anything could be overly bacony😁
I really enjoy your Channel
We're going back and forth on whether or not to go with a dually or srw truck. I understand the towing capacity between both of them and the only thing that makes me hesitant with the dually is parking and finding space at places while visiting. Has a dually made it difficult while traveling full-time at any point?
We would like to know what time of year you are in the places you go. we vacation in our fifth wheel for seven weeks through out the year. We really enjoy your channel thanks for the entertainment
I live near the area and we've camped at Elm Hill many times. I'm shocked they let you wash your rig.
We did ask the front desk.. 👍🏼
Sounds like you’d better come back and visit Montana!
