Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO gate lights, and a RECO LED gate light.
After I caught 734 leaving Leighton, I decided to chase it back east towards Huntsville as I wanted to ensure I was able to get some more crossings recorded. I decided to head for this one since I could film it on the northern side of the crossing this time around. Here we see NS 734 once again on its journey east towards Georgia.
It appears a couple of changes have occurred here since I last recorded this crossing. First, and more noticeably, NS has replaced the front-left light on the far signal with a newer Safetran 12x20, though this doesn't affect what equipment can be found here that much. Second, the tip gate light on the closer signal was replaced with a RECO LED gate light at some point, though I'm not entirely sure when. Thankfully, no other changes appear to have occurred to these 90s NS signals, and they even still retain their Safetran/GS Type 2 pair, which is nice to see. I believe this is the only NS crossing to feature such a pair at it, in fact. The failing flasher relay is also still here, as the lights hold on the normally-closed contacts of the relay about the time the gates here begin to descend.

I noticed that the flasher relay stopped whe the gates were starting to come down and it reminded me when vine street #2 in decatur al was malfunctioning
