I love NYC, my mom made my dream come true a few years ago. I wish that everyone dreamers out there would make it too. Great city, you´ll never get bored!
My Mother and her parents were born and raised and lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island. She left decades ago and traveled the US with my military Dad and our family. We finally settled in a small town in Florida, but she always spoke longingly and often to all of us with her NY accent about "her" city that never sleeps. One day when she was about 65 years old I paid for her and I to go to New York. I will never forget going to this electrifying place. I was in awe being there, and I loved seeing my Mom act like a "kid" again as she showed me "everything" and "everyplace" that meant so much to her. Mom is gone now but I just cannot seem to get New York out of my head.
My Mother passed away before Christmas in 2012 one month before her 90th birthday. Ten years before she died we got a chance to return once again to New York. I have traveled some but there is no place like this special city. I am so thankful she "introduced" the city that never sleeps to me. I often think about New York when I cannot sleep.
After i graduate high school, class of 2016, ima work hard and get money, then finally go live in New York, I love New York i love the skyline, the buildings, the way the city lights up at night, just simply amazing, I've always wanted to live in the big cities, And New York has always been my dream place, people always tell me "Your not gonna live there" Blah blah but when i move out there ima prove them wrong, i know its to expensive to live but i'm not gonna give up on the dream place i wanna live in!

So I’m watching this video to see every single little detail also. Thank you so much! NEW YORK CITY HERE I COME!

Guys, I wanna tell you a story. It was 8 years ago when I fell in love with the idea of living in this city, nyc. I was 16 years old, living in a small town in India. While growing up, I used to watch this video, dreaming about going to NYC someday. I had memorized the streets by going on the Google maps. Even today I know the streets. Then, eventually I started making choices. Choices that would bring me closer to make this dream come true. It was almost high school graduation and I was deciding on colleges. I knew I wasn't gonna get into good colleges in India so I thought might as well have some tries in the US too. I spent some time and then alot of time putting up applications. The more applications I was filling, the more i had a feeling I might be able to see nyc. Finally I got into a college, Miami University. Great college, great major, great scholarship. I had made up my mind. I booked my ticket, did my visa to.leave for US. But I made sure to leave 1 week early. Guess where I went? It was New York City. In the middle on Manhattan. I could not believe I had made it. All those maps I used to visit from India, i was there. I opened those maps again and I could not believe my eyes that Times Square was just 10 min walk away! I sobbed a little. Even though I had no energy left from traveling, I just could not resist being in a room sleeping with the nyc sound outside the window. So I went out and get loved it. It was all I ever wanted. 6 years later and completion of graduation, major milestones hit. Lost my job and part of family due to Covid. Had to leave the states to come back to India. Seems like im starting all over again. And today, just somehow, I'm back here again. To this video. Where it all started. I completed an entire circle. But this time, I have hope.
USA people are so lucky , they have most appropriate lifestyle in the world, surrounding, developed cities to roam.. Wish I also get chance to visit usa
Yet many jealous people from some part of the world throwing shit about USA bla bla bla. They dont realize that every country has its own pros and cons to live. But to compare USA with other developing country?? Big no..
I have such nostalgia from this video. I remember being so young and how I felt watching this before my NYC trips. One of my favorite destinations in the world. Hope to go back in the near future.
I searched for this video, because I used to watch it 10-11 years back as 18 year old european with dreams, still didn't visit New York or Miami (another video I used to watch :D) or achieved my goals, but I didn't give up on them either. Coming back to this video now feels like going full circle, time to push it!
Anthony Bryant I don't like New York cause I went through a lot out there from Homeless people approaching me and coughing and getting all in my face and begging for money and having to see rats and standing in a long line with a stinken person standing right behind me and me having to smell their must

so nostalgic to see this, back when I first moved to the city in the late 2000s and early 2010s is so nostalgic for me, all the 2010 cars, the music, the lights, it was such a marvel to me and I trully miss that feeling
The short answer to your question is YES! all boroughs are either going thru or prepping for gentrification which also brings much higher rents and the squeezing out of mom and pop stores. At this time the bronx has the most affordable rents which is still high.

New york has been a dream place which i wanted to visit once throughout my life. Being in a student status couldnt make me go abroad freely but i'm really gonna work hard and earn some money to prepare for my 10 days of fascinating NY city tour. A friend of mine had once told me that looking down Manhattan downtown on top of the Empire State bulding made her feel as if the time has been trapped within the city permanantely. Upon hearing her saying, i started to fancy visiting there
I was so emotioned to watch this video that I cried. I've been waiting almost all my life (more than 20 years) to go to this great city. I've been waiting so much because of lack of money for the travel (I come from Italy). I've been waiting TOO MUCH!!

not as amazing as Amsterdam though........so many fantastic cities in Europe and each one so different from the other one, yet so enchanting and beautiful........very difficult to pick the best one........Prague, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Paris, Zurich, Rome, Milan, Vienna, Budapest, Cologne......omg the list is endless
Everyone wants to move here, but i tell you this with certainty; If you can make it in nyc you can make it anywhere. It's not a walk in the park to live here guys, need a job well over minimum wage, jobs are scarce, basic transportation costs are rising and it is getting crowded everyday which makes things even more difficult. Nyc is slowly but surely turning into a city for wealthy individuals, and if you are not making at least 50k a year don't even bother to move here. Studio apartments start at fourteen hundred, so imagine a real bedroom apt. Me and my mother pay about 2.4k every month with rent/utility/necessity's/etc. We have a railroad apt, and about 3 bedrooms.
@Mycroft Holmes if its your dream, then work harder for it. Nothing comes easy lol ive been working toward this dream i have too for five years. I went from making 6,000 a year to 55k now i think I can move there and make it big! Hopefully, just gotta believe
new York isn't that great for living either. its filthy and crowded and theres some interesting people there. but I do recommend if your visiting, its pretty fun
Just got home from my 1 month vacation in America! Oh gosh New York is my favorite place to go now! The foods, clothes, basically everything is so cheap! Also went to different states like Washington, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), New Jersey, Baltimore etc. Love how people are so openminded about other cultures & other people! Very friendly! The fact that America is based on God makes me love it more! I had the best vacation ever! I'm so blessed indeed. After going to England & America. Seeing the cultures & stuffs, America is the best! People are soo freaking open minded! Theres alot of racism when I went to england. Those students threw a bottle to that old asian guy who was just riding his bike & called him ugly names. Don't go to Manchester if your skin color is other. just go to London! But if your white then your good lol.. Planning to go to Los Angeles one day!
its my dream to live in new york. I really hope i live there when i grow up, it will just be amazing for me, and a dream come true, its just, idk, its just magical there
Jasper Nah .. people who want to live in downtown manahattan are the one complaining ..in the bronx you can get nice apartment and same with queens , state island .. but brooklyn and manhattan ..people want to live close to manhattan when you can easy take a train , ferry , car ect .. my mom pay 1300$ a month but she got 4 rooms ,she rent 2 rooms 125$ a week, she pay the apartment with these two rooms , usually people who come here to study they rent a room for 125$ 150$ 175$ a week ..
+Angel Manon $1000 dollars is a lot for me... I'm not exactly rich. I'd rather pay a few hundred for a nice big house than $1000 for a small apartment. Personal preference though. :/
I live in Washington State, and not long ago visited family in New York for the first time, also going into the city for the first time. It's really crazy, because you look at New York City in pictures, videos, Google Earth even, and you think you understand the scope of it. But you can never truly understand it until you're walking the streets. Nothing but tall buildings everywhere. It's...otherworldly. I used to think Seattle was a big damn city. I laugh at myself now.
Wow, i'm born and raised in New York City and this video still gave me goosebumps! Excellent music and sights displayed in this clip...Very well detailed as well +1 like :D
Can't wait to go!! Me and my mom and dad are going there and staying in the W hotel in Times Square for New Years Eve!!!! Im so excited im watching every video on youtube to find out all about it.
I still watching this video for 10 years. Amazing, I like NYC. Maybe one day I’ll move there for sure. God bless us and facilitate us to be there with safety and dignity 🙏. I will come back to this comment when my dream becomes reality. But I don’t know how long I can wait 😢

Damn how beautiful Newyork this is beyond my expectations the feel and vibe you get in New York is out of the world
Live here in nyc , im from honduras and first came to the city miami beach and it was wonderful and now Im here in nyc its awesome
Lol wait till u live thr
***** actually it is....it started on the belief of freedom and belief in God (Jesus Christ) is true freedom.
USA
***** where are you from?
You will love Los Angeles & Southern California, I highly recommend you come visit us (;
New York is my dream...❤️
Wow, My best friend, I liked the video very much, thanks you for sharing, stay safe, stay blessed
its my dream to live in new york. I really hope i live there when i grow up, it will just be amazing for me, and a dream come true, its just, idk, its just magical there
Nyc is good but you need friends and family otherwise will be boring.! good luck from nyc!
Though you have to be pretty wealthy to be able to live there. Just apartment prices are ridiculous, especially New York City
+Jasper not really lol
+Angel Manon $1000 dollars is a lot for me... I'm not exactly rich. I'd rather pay a few hundred for a nice big house than $1000 for a small apartment. Personal preference though. :/
IWAS BORN IN RAISED IN NYC!! BROOKLYN TO BE EXACT!! ILOVE IT HERE !! Best city in the world!!!!!
I really Love this song and video Thanks sooo much such great info Love It 🙌🙏❤️❤️🔥

Beautiful city to live! wow 🤩 I can’t believe how big and nice it is 😳!!!👍
fantástico video y música genial.
I prefer living in small towns. But visiting New York was lots of fun! Wouldn't mind living outside the city.
The New York is fantastic city. Video and music....... perfect👍
I love New York!! I drove there (8+ hours) from Buffalo, and even though I was tired as fuck, I still loved it when I arrived!
I Love This City So Much....This is My Only Dream City.....
Mcdonalds city?

Ray Nely I'm white so I don't have to try, I however have to rub the grease from the chicken of KFC on my pecker before any black chick buckles on it. *TRUE STORY*

NY is the best. I love NY because of the people you don't know who your next to or how your looking at they could be a CEO from a big corporation or the President could be behind the tints of that limo that you drove buy. And don't let the homeless guy fool you he is a rich millionaire that got Bord and decided to dress like a homeless guy to fell what it might be like. New York is the melting pot. I Looove New York!!!!!! :)
