Honestly, I’m mostly turned off by luxury bags now. I think seeing all these looters at these brands made me feel sick to my stomach. I don’t want to buy secondhand bc I don’t want to inadvertently buy stolen goods. The crazy pricing, the obsessive nature of some influencers also make this whole thing just tiring and I’m getting older and I just don’t want to manage all this inventory. Wow I’m such a downer lol. You are the only luxury youtuber I follow now and I still enjoy your content. 😊

I love how original you are! All the UA-cam influencers that talks about luxury handbags are now either on the Hermes journey, or already got the big 3 from Hermes, and they can’t stop talking about their bags. i do own a few luxury pieces myself but I (or maybe the majority people that loves handbags) can’t really splurge like that yet they are all what I see on UA-cam. It creates “peer pressure”, and I’m tired. so I stoped watching their videos and I have been sticking with you from the beginning!❤

A completely unrelated comment but I need to tell someone who might care...not something I'm bringing up with my buddies over beers. I've already got most of my wife's Christmas shopping done and here's how it went down. She's a LV devotee and normally carries big bags but I picked up the Keepall 25 in Monogram Eclipse for her. I didn't like the guitar strap so I found the Monogram Reverse Eclipse strap that came with the Keepall XS on Rebag and bought that for her to use instead of the guitar (I feel like that will help make the bag look more feminine). Since she normally carries big bags, her SLGs are larger as well so I got her the Coin Card Holder in Reverse Eclipse and the Pencil Pouch Elisabeth in Monogram Eclipse for her meds, lip balm, etc. Minnie had mentioned that going "matchy matchy" with this bag (she was talking about the XS) and related SLGs could make it hard to quickly pick them out in the bag so I got her a light grey bag insert from Samorga for the 25. I'm pretty pumped. Anything I should do differently or consider between now and Christmas? I always appreciate this community because you help me look good for the missus : ) Have a great weekend all.

collections. In fact, I seem to be more excited about adding new styles from mid range brands such as Polene, Aspinal & Naghedi. I do own the Lock Me BB in the greige color & It has quickly become one of my favorite bags from LV 😊
I totally share your thoughts about Dior handbags, but I must say that I have recently been eyeing the Toujours bag in the small or medium size. As far as Hermes goes, I completely agree with you as well. It is not my style & the Garden party is the only style I have on my wishlist.
My love for luxury has changed as well. I think it evolves like everything- everyone goes through a process just at different times in life. Your tastes mature and you learn to appreciate the beauty and not the need to acquire.

I’ve been feeling the same way about bags lately too. I’m way less crazy about BUYING, but really enjoy watching and looking still. Maybe it’s the economy or some anti consumerism vibe I’ve been getting, but I’m feeling way more purse peace nowadays and am even thinking about selling some.

I’ve always loved handbags, even as a young person, so I will always want to carry one that speaks to me:) No matter what my income or budget, I will always find one that I get excited about. I do go through phases where I am not looking for a new one or take a pause because something else has distracted me. It’s one of my three big interests. For some people it is shoes, cars, jewelry, jeans, gardening, whatever, not my business and not theirs either:) Great convo!

I am also underwhelmed by Phoebe Philo’s launch too. But pretty surprised they are almost all sold out within 2 days!
I have 3 L.V. bags + several scarves, wallets, and charms and a vintage Chanel bag. I thought when I was younger that these things would make me happier, but I hardly ever use them. I don't feel happy anymore about spending that kind of money on a bag and then having to worry about them being damaged or stolen. I am a bargain hunter by nature and I have been more into cheaper designer bags lately.

Minne, Ive been watching you for years. You were my inspiration and give me the confidence to buy my first Louis Vuitton bag back in 2017. Ive built up quite the collection from sneakers, bags, SLG's, luggage and accessories. i've totally gone off designer goods and spending so much money on them. I am now happy with the collection. I had a spiritual awakening in lockdown and totally prioritised the good life and freedom, I sold my properties and moved to the countryside in the north of the UK. What I loved to hear today was your love for restoration. I'd love to see you document an upcycle and how you tackle it. I know this is totally off your channels path but would you consider it? I own the Celine Small 16 in the black satinated calfskin and I love it. I was influenced to buy it from Steph at Handbagholic. I thought I wanted the Teen Triomphe but decided it was a bit too trendy. My Celine 16 is definitely giving off a 60’s vibe so I can understand why it’s not for everyone but the craftsmanship is exceptional. I have exactly two luxury bags, both from Celine. There is, however, one more bag I’m eyeing but it is super expensive. It’s from Joseph Duclos. I love everything about this brand. I am loving your vlogs! Very informative! 👏🏼👏🏼

The Pheobe Philo bags were overall disappointing considering how long the collection has been in the works. The gigantic tote seems way overpriced, which is what many commentators have said, about the collection in general. I thought some of the jackets were interesting.
I also heard that the items were sold out due to the low production numbers and many collectors purchasing, but I don’t know if that’s accurate or not.
Recently got a Marc Jacobs medium leather tote bag in electric orange and I began to understand why you are raving about it, it packs a lot very sturdy and not at all heavy. I love it so much and looking forward to having the other sizes as well. Maybe the only thing I want to change in that bag is the size of the shoulder strap (could have been a little wider), but, overall, it is a very stylish and very functional bag.

I have the Mulberry mini Alexa in cornflower blue, and it’s a showstopper! I have a lady Dior in fuchsia lambskin, and I always think about selling it. It’s a very fussy bag - very difficult to get in and out of. If it wasn’t for the beautiful color I would’ve already sold it.
I’ve seen the fuchsia Lady Dior and I completely understand why you haven’t sold it, considering the cons you mentioned, it’s gorgeous!🙌🩷😂

I’m absolutely not into the new releases from any brand. I look it but it left me indifferent at this point. I was disappointed with the Phoebe Philo bag collection…definitely expected more. Will still look forward to seeing what she’ll release in the future though. But if same price point as current collection…I will lose interest.

The last question was so random, but I'm also a HUGE Seinfeld fan!! Back to handbags: I recently found out that some of the Aspinal of London bags are made in China. I'm a big fan, and have several of their pieces, but this knowledge has taken some of the luster off of the brand for me. How do you feel about that? Can a bag be considered "luxury" if it's made in China?
I found out they were made in China before my first purchase so it definitely turned me off but I have experienced some misses with items that weren’t up to scratch due to quality that I returned. Sad to say that many of these luxury fashion houses have quality control issues too. You’d think with the prices they charge, they’d be more aware of the product they put out. ♥️
I truly believe Phoebe Philo products are sold out because few units of each product were made and thus making it easy to sell out.

I hate the Celine logo too! I don't understand why a brand that is so minimal and sleek has such an ugly in your face logo. I love SLGs because they make me happy, the cuteness, the colour. 😁

I was actually wondering if you stopped putting too many to the wish list nowadays. because I went crazy and started buying in the pre-love market then I realized I wasn’t even wearing any of them so I started selling them back. I think it’s just a love for handbags, the high and fortunate to be able to buy many but when you get a good quality vintage bags, you realize what they have now and with the increases, it’s not the same and not worth it.
I do rotate all of them but of course some more than others ☺️ Nowadays I am having more fun with the ones I currently have but don’t get me wrong, my eye still wanders. 😂♥️Vintage bags are amazing! 🙌♥️♥️♥️

I feel that the new phoebe philo collection is only sold out due to very limited inventory or as a marketing tactic. I just agree it was underwhelming and most people I have talked to felt the same.

Not necessarily, many AOL and Marc Jacobs bags are made in China and they have amazing quality. From what I was told, the newer ones fall apart quickly but I couldn’t comment from personal experience.
