Can you do a video on skin care for preteens and teens. I have girls 7 years, 10 years, and 12.5 years the older two are going through puberty. I want sensitive and not too harsh but will help with mild acne. Some good starters. I love that they are actually getting into skincare and have so much fun with it. I think I have been doing this concept without really knowing it. Thanks!
I'm not a professional dermatologist, but I know few things. Acne prone skins NEED hydration. Not harsh cleansing because the skin will feel attacked and will end with more pimples and sebum to defend itself. I'd say that a good mare milk soap for cleansing, or an oil cleanser, would be a good choice. And a light moisturizer. A floral water as a toner. Not much more. And if possible, biological and organic is better. Jojoba oil is awesome on oily skins because it mimicks sebum without clogging pores. Plus a gentle scrub once to twice a week, and a purifying mask with clay for example
I'm saving this video for tonight (as it is morning in my country now), because you always tell me skincare is selfcare so I have to get out of my bed again to do skincare!

That looks like a great line of products. Beware fermented skincare products, especially essences, though (although this line looks ok looking at the ingredient list). I recently used Missha Time Revolution 1st essence which contains fermented extracts and woke up to angry little spots the next day. Turns out some skin types esp. those prone to acne and/or sensitive skin types can react really badly to those and develop fungal acne. I have oily mature skin and have since tried the Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliant in the resist line and all is well again. Just thought it's worth mentioning.
That makes zero sense scientifically because ferments are just hydrating extract they dont have live probiotics so it cant like interfere with anything you might have been sensitive to something else in the product
@@person2194 Let me tell you the minute I stopped using fermented skincare products my Malassezia folliculitis (fungal acne) went away. In my case it just caused an overgrowth of bacteria on the skin I reckon (I did some research since). My skin might just be too sensitive to use those. And that's absolutely fine. I am not dismissing Korean skincare just saying that sometimes certain ingredients don't play well with your skin. That's all.
@@person2194 I'm sure you're correct. But it's just something about the yeast I think that just doesn't agree with me. I think in my case galactomyces which are a type of yeast brought me out it spots. It was really weird but also really interesting. I normally have the skin of a rhino :)
Hi Cassandra. I am looking forward to try this wonderful cream. However, searching for the cream I found, moisture cream and Nutrition cream. Moisture crea is the one with jojoba oil but Nutrition cream is the one that you are talking on your video. I need your help to decide which one to buy. I suffer from acne. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you for all your videos. I have learned a lot from you. 🦋
The packaging is like Aesop, ive tried Pyunkang Yul mist toner and essence toner for about 3-5 months, a while back and it was so meh to me😅 It didnt calm down my skin or even hydrate them overnight as much as I want it to. Ive tried putting them one layer and then amp it up to 3-5 layers, and oh yeah, it was so sticky too when I was on my second layer. I have oily, acne-prone skin that is easily dehydrated and irritated, plus I live in Southeast Asia, so the humidity didnt help either.
I also was not impressed with the products but I love the packaging; they would be nice for display purposes, not so nice on the skin. Most moisturizers cause my skin to flush and Pyunkang Yul was not an exception. The only moisturizer that has worked for my skin so far is Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb
@@moose8762 Omg yes! The packaging is minimalist-ish, great for vanity displays. My skin loves the Bonajour Green Tea Essential and Isntree Aloe Vera 70% gel😁 I love Bonajour, going to try the green tea water bomb after this!
@@syazwanaaljunid2052 yes, I ran out of Bonajour for a month because of shipping delays and ended up using La Roche-Posay and my skin ended up inflamed and red again just from the moisturiser. The green tea water bomb has just been a game changer for me: the days of flushing for no reason at all have passed (still flush if I do something crazy like use harsh actives, e.g. benzoyl peroxide, zinc pyrithione can irritate my skin)
I can attest, the toner is definitely A ok for super sensitive skin, burning and peeling and all! It helped me out when I got something on my face on accident (I make vape juice, and got some on my hand, unknowingly, and rubbed my eye after I was done) well, it hurt BAD. but this stuff was all I could use that didn't burn. Even FAB barriar cream burned. Love that toner! It's great for the "7 layer/skin method" too, which is why I bought it!
I love skin minimalism! My current amazingly working regime: AM water only cleanse, moisturiser, spf PM cleanser, moisturiser, differin or azelaic acid.
If you like Pyunkang Yul you must try Rovectin!!! Also fragrance free, no colours and very mild :) Also hispital-based skincare, but developed with the sensitive skin of patients going through chemo in mind
Hi as someone with a severely dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin I tried a few of the Pyunkang Yul products. I really like the essence/toner and the intense moisturiser, but when I tried the nutrition cream I had a fairly severe reaction to it, when patch tested. As with all skincare we can react to anything, but I was surprised having had no issue with their other products (I also like the sheet mask). They were one of the first K beauty brands I ever tried and I have used multiple bottles/jars of my favourite products from them. For those with very reactive skin I recommend trying some of the trial kits or smaller sizes first, as they do use a lot of plant/root extracts in their products. This can cause a reaction in very sensitive or sensitised skin. As always patch test everything - I usually put a small amount behind my ear for 24 hours. This is still not a guarantee that the centre of my face (the rosacea) won't react, but it does cut down obvious culprits. Best wishes. ps I'm currently using the ato cream as my face cream in the blue tube.x
During the beginning of lockdown last March I was still in med school so I really did not have the brain cells to dedicate to anything besides “oh my god am I going to be able to sit my exams and graduate before New Years”. But when I was done oh man, I started experimenting (somewhat resposibly, not with actives or fragranced products), messing with toners and face oils because I got bored. And even though I’m a careful person in that I don’t buy stuff with fragrance/essential oils or drying alcohols it was as you said, I overloaded my skin with ingredients and it told me to go take a long walk off a short pier. I’m back to normal but it was touch and go for a while. PKY are fantastic, I have atopic dermatitis (so my skin type could be called sensitive, prone to dehydration and combo?) so this winter I used their blue label ato cream as a face moisturiser and it was brilliant, it’s thick but whipped at the same time. If you’ve ever used the FAB ultra repair cream it is kind of the same deeply nourishing and comforting feeling but my face did not feel as if it was shellac-ed in a thick occlusive layer of stuff.
I have actually tried Pyungkang Yul back in 2018 as one of the k beauty youtuber talked about the brand and what they stand for, was really sold on the simplicity of the packaging and the reasons behind the creation of the products. Even though I wanted to love this product so so much, I don't know why I was breaking out from the toner :((( Had to stop after realizing maybe it's not for my skin. But i got to say the texture of the toner essence and the serum was so mind-blowing to me! The way how the serum sinks into the skin were so satisfyinggggg
Hi Cassandra! I have a question and if you answer it that would be great. So I’m an early teen and suffer from a little bit (hardly any) of acne and I was just wondering what you think about the brand clearasil? Thanks :)
Pyunkang Yul is my forever favourite brand. It doesn't promise to fix all your problems with fancy ingredients but I swear it helped my skin the most! I just wish they would change the bottle for the Moisture serum cause I try try try try but always spill some when I put the droper back. I cry every time. Also, only shampoo I can use without killing my hair or scratching off my scalp... AND they gave me a full product for free with a 30€ order (the calming toner). Do... I might just move to SK do I can buy their stuff every day :D
I have really sensitive skin & also have blackheads. Not sure what to do without a BHA but when I use the BHA more than twice a week my skin dries out. But if I don't use the BHA my pores are huge. Would love to see videos for those who have different skin conditions & concerns at the same time
The tissue diy mask has been a thing in Asian skincare for a while I believe. I remember reading Chizu Saekis "Japanese skincare revolution" which mentioned using lotion like this too.
I am interested in trying Pyunkang Yul, but looking at the products I'm confused which ones I should use on my perioral dermatitis. Can you help me with the correct selection?
I so want to try Pyungkang Yul's products. I love traditional Korean medicine based/inspired products and theirs seem reasonably priced while still effective. The thing is most if not all traditional korean medicine or simply hanbang based/inspired products are considered luxurious and are usually pretty darn expensive. Think Sulwhasoo for example.
I’ve been searching for something to use for face masks. I bought some compressed ones on impulse but didn’t have a plan lol. Everything I was looking at was either too complicated ingredient-wise or too expensive to saturate the sheets with. The bigger bottle on Amazon is only $14.50!!
Thank you for your help. Can you please talk about DIY hacks like that say it make you nose smaller like ginger mask and things that say make you lips bigger like cinnamon oil and powder mix ?
Now that Cassandra has felt into the Korean skincare depth she’s never coming back 😘
It may not be luxury but between $20 and $50 is definitely very expensive skincare for most.

Plus a gentle scrub once to twice a week, and a purifying mask with clay for example
i’ve been loving all these videos we are getting blessed with!🥰
Love your efforts for this society ❤️
Ive been using their essence toner for 3 months now and I LOVE IT!
yay you got the essence toner - love it!
love this 😌✨❤️
I'm saving this video for tonight (as it is morning in my country now), because you always tell me skincare is selfcare so I have to get out of my bed again to do skincare!
Darn it now I have to try this! I am so happy this is cruelty free
I have all the products from pyungkang yul... i Love them all for my rosacea Skin !
I’m using their products, and I have acne prone skin, for a few months now and I’m more than happy with the results 🥳🥰
Uuh thanks for sharing! I have acne prone skin too and now that I stopped taking birth control it‘s getting worse😪
Would you mind telling me if the cream is good to use under makeup? 🤔☺️
@@vh3910 I don't know about the cream, since I haven't used it. Actually, I only tried the cream sample and it felt great, but that was one time only. I'm using Essence Toner and Moisture Ampoule for a couple of months now and it's great :) I'm using Moisture Ampoule under makeup and after taking it I don't have redness I usually get from makeup. Also, I'm about to start using their Cleansing Foam because I tried it, I liked it and bought it, but first I'm waiting to finish my current one. And I love their pads, you get so many in that one box and it doesn't soak up the product like the other ones.
@@CharlieTheChip Ok thank you! And thanks for the quick replie ☺️
@@vh3910 you're welcome ;)
my skincare routine consists of 2 steps - ive been using a drugstore cleanser, and ice my face. i do this morning and night. my skin has been perfect ever since.
I absolutely love this brand, I literally want to buy all of their products 🤩
Cassandra: Uploads a new amazing video because all her video's are impeccable.
My central nervous system: RELEASE THE SEROTONIN!!!!
Is the nutrition cream vegan now? When I saw before it had Beeswax listed, so I could never try it 😯
Am I doing too much skincare research right now? Why am I watching Skinimalism video before my first order even arrive.
gurrl same 😭
@@hwasacansteponme Hahaha I started researching 2 weeks ago and placed my first The Ordinary a week ago, and this is probably the 3rd Skinimalism video I've watched already😂
It's always useful to have the info in the back of your brain even if you don't need it right now. You may find you need that info in the future!
I did this when I was starting out 5 months ago, skincare is so fun to learn about, but I did also started to lose sleep and stress out about it so please don’t stress out about it too much. I’m still watching skincare things to learn more! I love it
Omg I swear I've been curious about that skin of yours, it's so beautiful! I noticed (for quite sometime already) that you'd be slapping on products while filming, and I thought wait, she's not wearing any makeup that she's doing that? So this is the secret huh? Gonna check this brand out, just in time as my products are running out. Thanks Cassandra! ❤️😘
She puts on heaps of skin care stuff. She used to have severe acne. Thete should be a video about her routine but I haven't found it yet.
Cassandra speaking Punjabi 😀 🤟🏼
“Haan ji” is also Hindi BTW.
Thank you, I added the Intensive Care Cream to my list. Its exactly what I'm looking for in a nighttime cream. Love your videos! ❤
Omg Cass you got a Pyunkang Yul sponsorship! Sooo happy for youuuu. Woohoo
I’ve first used the essence toner like decades ago and still use and love it 😍
That looks like a great line of products.
@@person2194 This may be true, but some people still break out from the use of fermented ingredients.
That's all.
@@sabineb6984 ok I was just saying that fermented ingredients dont actually have bacteria in them anymore do to preservatives
@@person2194 I'm sure you're correct. But it's just something about the yeast I think that just doesn't agree with me. I think in my case galactomyces which are a type of yeast brought me out it spots. It was really weird but also really interesting. I normally have the skin of a rhino :)
You made me add them all to my basket 🙈
Hi Cassandra🙂. I love your Videos. What do you think about NU Skin products? Please make a video about it. Take care of you 🤗
Hi Cassandra.
I would love to see your whole routine. ❤
Totally onboard with this moat ~ acid mantle analogy 🤓
I can attest, the toner is definitely A ok for super sensitive skin, burning and peeling and all! It helped me out when I got something on my face on accident (I make vape juice, and got some on my hand, unknowingly, and rubbed my eye after I was done) well, it hurt BAD. but this stuff was all I could use that didn't burn. Even FAB barriar cream burned. Love that toner! It's great for the "7 layer/skin method" too, which is why I bought it!
PKY is one of my favorite skincare brands.
I love skin minimalism! My current amazingly working regime: AM water only cleanse, moisturiser, spf PM cleanser, moisturiser, differin or azelaic acid.
If you like Pyunkang Yul you must try Rovectin!!! Also fragrance free, no colours and very mild :)
Also hispital-based skincare, but developed with the sensitive skin of patients going through chemo in mind
Literally have the essence toner shipping to me soon and I’m even more excited to get it!
Cassandra :It comes with a little scoop , which you know that I lost.
Me: Yes I do know🤣🤣🤣
Hi Cassandra what do you about Pacifica dreamy Youth Day and night face moisturiser Ingredients?
Been wanting to try this brand, I love Iuink as my go to for healing.
The way how the serum sinks into the skin were so satisfyinggggg
can you please review the brand Tula!!
Hi Cassandra! I have a question and if you answer it that would be great. So I’m an early teen and suffer from a little bit (hardly any) of acne and I was just wondering what you think about the brand clearasil? Thanks :)
Oh lord god take my money 🥲🥲🥲😂😂😂😂 I was sold from the title 💀😂😂
Is that pyukang yul!! Wich better pyukang yul or cosrx centella asiatica?
hello do you planning to make video abouz function of beauty shampoo?
Cassandra, what do you think about Cosmelan2? after a chemical peel
Can I use the pungkang yul essence toner with adaplene?
Would love to see videos for those who have different skin conditions & concerns at the same time
Hi Cassandra! What beauty procedures or "surgeries" do you think are safe enough to spend money on?
Do Andalu naturals!!! Been using it for ten years 😎
Love PKY! Their Ato Cream Blue Label is a lovely, inexpensive night cream for dry skin
Helloooo. I have oily and dehydrated skin, and when I used this essence-toner my skin felt so tight and dry. I don’t recommend it🥺
I’ve been searching for something to use for face masks. I bought some compressed ones on impulse but didn’t have a plan lol. Everything I was looking at was either too complicated ingredient-wise or too expensive to saturate the sheets with. The bigger bottle on Amazon is only $14.50!!
I requested for this video thank you
Thank you for your help. Can you please talk about DIY hacks like that say it make you nose smaller like ginger mask and things that say make you lips bigger like cinnamon oil and powder mix ?
skinimalism is my new favorite word
Yasss so early ❤️
