annihilation is one of my fave books and i agree that the movie is great. as a book adaptation it kinda sucks but as a movie by itself its pretty good. have you thought about reading the next books? it was initially a trilogy but VanderMeer recently said he is releasing a fourth one
yeah, I'll definitely read the rest of them. Not sure when cuz I've kinda gone into a moodreading mode, but when it hits me I'll for sure pick them up
@@kevin.jenkins i'm also a mood reader and i only read the entire trilogy when i got in the mood. then i read the three one after the other hahaha.

Awesome video Kev. You know I'm on that McCammon kick lately and I think Speaks the Nightbird is on the TBR for Oct. I could reread Swan Song and Boy's Life tomorrow cause they were so good. Which Cormac book did you not like? I'm reading The Road right now and so far it's damn good.
hell yeah, looking forward to your thoughts on Speaks the Nightbird! Think I'm gonna reread Swan Song in September with some friends. The Cormac book I wasn't super high on was No Country For Old Men--thought it was just okay, but may have to reread when I get some more of his books under my belt to see if I was trippin or not.
