Hey carl I was wondering what is the tempo of the Distorted Part at 8:52 and the double time part? I'm trying to learn and I would like to know what metronome speed to work that up too
The tempo of the first part is about 110bpm. The double time part is twice the tempo (so 220bpm). It's probably worth learning to play those parts about 20bpm faster than the original just so you can be more relaxed playing at original tempo, particularly if you intend to play live.
Thanks alot!! yeah I've been practicing this particular section for a while now and I can cruise through it at 100bpm. I used to struggle at 90 but I kept practicing on metronome. Hopefully I can get too 110 and then I can pretty much do the whole song. I got the solos down already
B A S S SLA PPER almost impossible, you gotta alternate pick, even James cant. You’re gonna tire yourself out by doing all downstrokes, I know because I fell victim to that.
How many times of repeating does it take to remember every single note to play the whole song? I always forget parts while im learning a new one. Since I play the guitar i have a ton of respect for what Metallica is doing.
Honestly, as many as it takes. When I was a kid learning how to play, I would literally play until I messed up , then would start over immediately. Again and again, until i could play a few times in a row perfectly , usually till I got sick of playing it perfectly. It’s all about muscle memory. It’s frustrating as all hell being so hard on yourself, but it pays off when you can just LISTEN to what your playing as opposed to TRYING to play it

@@novaseer What does that have to do with anything? One is probably the easiest song in the album, maybe beside Eye of the Beholder or AJFA.
