I struggle to keep my mind focussed while praying the rosary at home. Im 13, and my family and i pray it daily, and some days are better than others but i just feel ashamed when my mind keeps wandering from my prayers. If someone could please pray for me that would be great. Thank you Amber for making these videos!

I started to to change up the language of the prayers. I'll pray one mystery English, one Spanish, one Latin, and rotate the last two mysteries. It helps keep the mind in check and focus on the mysteries.

I started praying the rosary as a protestant after hearing alot of positive things about it even though I wasn't Catholic. That lead me to eventually want to look into other things of the Catholic faith. I found out about that book 33 days to morning glory and just finished that this month and did the consecration. After much prayer me and my fiance are now looking into converting to the Catholic faith. It all started with the rosary of our blessed mother. Some of the other devotions I recently started that I like to connect with mother Mary are meditating on the 7 sorrows of Mary and 10 virtues of Mary. Also recently bought a green scapular and will be getting more for family.

In the OT, the Promised Land was a type for Heaven. When the Israelites had the Ark of God in battle, they would triumph over their enemies. Likewise, for us to triumph against our enemies - both within and without - during our earthly pilgrimage, we must stay close to the Ark of the New Covenant!

    Thanks you for this channel.
Mary of Nazareth (2012) is a film that transformed me, I like the way Our Lady was portrayed by Alissa Jung. Whenever I contemplate Her with Jesus, in particular with Jesus as a baby, I feel somewhat "clean".

Veiling has been a big game changer along with marian consecration. I also pray the chaplet of the seven sorrows and wear a four way medal with the miraculous medal on it and a scapular. Recently our priest suggested consecrating also our exterior goods to her its drawn me.closer to her knowing shes in complete control to bring me closer to Jesus

I kind of see St. Louis Marie's 33 days as the real deal in terms of consecration. but I have also read the book that you suggest and learnt some new things about Our Lady in it, particularly the section about Maximillian Kolbe where he talks about the relationship between Our Lady and the Holy Spirit.

What a joy it is to have discovered your channel! Your devotion to the practice of veiling is so laudable. One of the most beautiful explanations of the symbolism behind this ancient practice comes from the liturgical actions within the TLM. During the traditional liturgy, one notices that several key structures or items are veiled to denote their place of privilege: the altar, the tabernacle, the chalice, and the ciborium. All of these items are designed to hold His Eucharistic presence. They are vessels of life Himself! Hence, women -- imbued with the inexpressible capacity to participate in His creative act and become living vessels of life -- are also veiled! The depth and richness of our faith is just astounding! God be ever at your side, Amber! :)

Thanks so much Amber. I am a Catholic and I get a little confused sometimes about Catholicism and you help me understand so much better and inspire me so much. I hope to one day get close to our Heavenly father God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and our Mother Mary the way you are close to them.

    The causality of the saints
    February 19, 2007 at 7:05 pm (Uncategorized)
The higher a nature, the greater its causal power, and the higher a causal power, the more intimately and determinately it applies itself to a greater range of effects. And so the saints hear all prayers distinctly and fully, and more penetrate into the substance of the prayer than the one who prayed it. All prayers are heard with total attention, whatever their number. The highest such causality is Marian, which is capable of exhaustively loving each person with the total force of her immaculate heart, which is why St. Padre Pio described Mary’s care for him was the same as if he were the only child she had in the world.

Can you recommend a Catholic calendar that, in addition to fest days/holidays, includes common dates for certain prayers (e.g., marking May 5th as the start date for the Novena to our Lady of Fatima)?

Praying to Mary or any saint for help is wrong, or praying to them at all, since they cannot control events in one's life or influence other people, which only God can do.

Are married women supposed to wear black/dark veils and unmarried women wear white veils? I thought I heard this somewhere.

The phrase mother of God traces back to the third century and continues to be used in some liturgical churches, including the Roman Catholic Church. One of the topics at the Council of Ephesus in AD 431 was the use of the Greek term Theotókos (literally, “God-bearer” or “the one who gives birth to God”) in reference to Mary. That council’s use of Theotokos was meant to counter the heresy of Nestorianism, which cleaved the nature and person of Christ in two: Christ’s human and divine natures were completely divergent and unconnected. According to Nestorius, Mary gave birth to Christ but not to God; Mary was the mother of His humanity, which was totally distinct from His divinity-Jesus was two persons sharing one body, essentially. The Council of Ephesus affirmed the full deity of Christ and unity of His person by saying that Mary did indeed bear God in her womb. Mary is the “mother of God” in the sense that, since Jesus is God and Mary is the mother of Jesus, she is the mother of God. The Word became flesh (John 1:14), and Mary mothered Him.

Is not the Holy spirit the intercessor between you and God/Jesus? In John 2:4-5 Mary mentioned that the servants at the party do whatever Jesus required them to do. Nowhere in the bible if you actually read it did it mention that we should pray to men to reach God. Did not God shall also say that we should call no man on earth father which is ministers of the Catholic church have you do?
Mary was only a vessel used by God for HIS purpose. Everyone has the same access to God. No one on earth is greater than another that one is barred from communicating with God. Neither is there anyone in heaven more greater than Jesus Christ who was given authority and all glory. Besides God commands us we are not to communicate with the dead, that means man. They are appointed once to die then judgement. You are only fooling yourselves thinking that Mary would hear you. She is not greater than Jesus nor any man. God does not favor partiality.
