I love adaptations that clearly have their own identity, but at the same time, do justice what they're adapting. This whole video was great, the creative cuts, the music, the voice performances, sound design, artstyle, it's all so distinctly Berserk AND an AllinAll video. Great stuff.

Two years ago you could have chosen to take the lazy and easy route and just crank out fan art, maybe the maryland boys hire you to do a little trailer for them and you take the headpats from a community, but honestly at this point I couldn't care less if you ever did another THLMR thing again. What's your interest(if any) in the Warhammer world? I wouldn't expect an animation from you since the IP owners are the "boot on the neck" types, so this is pure curiosity.
THLMR plan is supposed be a Cyrus episode and finale. And Cyrus one def happening. Finale I want to do and by now it's audience is rather my audience than TES people so there is no rush (and holy duck I need to figure out more financing cause all these plans are eating months). Thank you big time! This all I wanted in the first place - to make my art. Be it og or a tribute to something I love.
I was always curious about Warhammer. Like I would watch game trailers and dog the look and some specs of lore. But never really played or read anything. Also yeah crazy that a brand would police fan work this much.

Thank you! There is a very tiny panel in the chapter with his POV and I heard that some people see colors like inverted before they faint. I wanted some sort of near death rabid dog feeling.
@@AllINAllmusic I think people miss the… Nigh sexual aspect of bloodlust too often. You got rabid dog, and distorted perception. However he looks like he’s going to rip you to shreds, and it’s going to feel so good to do it. Which is perverse, but that’s the point.

This animation has something that is usually lacking from other animations: great adequate music. They usually just put some generic heavy metal or the 2016 ost. Here, however, the artist went above and beyond to replicate the great Hirasawa's work, and the results are fantastic; the soundtrack adapts perfectly to what is being shown on-screen.

Seriously, what really ties all of this together, and keeps me watching this video months after first viewing it, is the music. The entire scene is cemented in my mind, especially of Guts confronting them.

Best arc done justice. There are contemplative moments of quiet ambiance here, that I think are greatly missing from the anime (especially the 2016 version) Above being an epic action/adventure, Berserk is very cerebral, and I think this video captures that perfectly. It's horrible and beautiful.

One a side note, the name of the track is а Ukrainian word for “grass”.
"There is no paradise for you to escape to." This line for me was the most important line of the arc. The maladaptive coping mechanisms of escapism and self isolation, only exascerbates depression and anxiety, leads to derealization, depersonalization. And while you dream of a better life and hide from the one you have, the reality of space/time continues and leaves you behind.

This fucking nails the theme of Guts becoming a monster that lost children was going for. He’s honestly the scariest thing in the video as he bites into the Intestine panting like a beast. Fucking masterpiece of a video the music, voice acting, and unique artstyle make this THE best berserk animation to date. I would love to see the eclipse done by you. You nailed the cosmic horror in your Elder Scrolls.

Great work as always, I really loved how much color was present in this one, made some really pretty visuals that contrasted well with the more gruesome scenes.
i went ahead and read the entirety of berserk to understand this. coming back to it now there's alot of cool subtle details in 5 seconds at 2:40. there's a narrow field of vision, since he's missing an eye. there's the faint outline of the bodies of the children after transforming back right in front of him. the shaking and pulsing of his vision from all the pain, venom, and burns he's enduring. the corpse impaled on his armor, cast in shadow since basically an entire forest fire is right behind him.
the whole series is crazy, depressing, digusting, and has a twisted beauty and a very human soul at the center of it. i hope Kentaro Miura is happy with how it ended.

Beautiful. You know, I had been thinking of watching Evangelion for years before your stuff finally got me into it. My friends have been talking about watching Berserk for a while. Looks like you're gonna push me over the top for that too.
Yeah, except Berserk still doesn't have a decent anime adaptation other than old Golden Age series and some movies and none of them cover more than like 10% of current story. So if you want to get into Berserk - reading manga is the only way.
Old anime from the 90s and movie trilogy from 2000s are the only thing you should watch. Anime series afterwards had trashtier animation, music and voice acting were great though.
And above all read the manga.

This came out right when I started reading this arc in the manga. Your style is unlike anything else I've ever seen.
While we may never get a faithful adaptation in full, we can at least get fan projects like these to help. Plus, I’m 90% someone will take all of the Berserk animated media and just combine and edit it to somehow fit one day
Bro, you really do every fandom you touch justice. I absolutely loved how much you've hearkened back to the 1997 anime but also how you didn't shy away from making it your own as well. I really digged how you used a lost of fades in this way, opposed to a lot of your confronting smash cuts from previous works (which I still very much dig), your scene transitions are just getting god tier now bro. Really loved all the collage/manga panel imagery 2:30 onwards especially with that multiple image guts in Rosine's eyes. Also you get a fucking award for not shying away on shit that goes down in this arc, respect! The intro gave me that silent hill vibe however I could totally hear that susumu hirasawa homage throughout, especially at the sequence at 0:57. 2:21 is Batman levels of fucking awesome. Theres so much more I could say but, you really know how to leave an impact with your videos, every image really does feel so ecstatic and lived in its so fucking good bro. Keep on keeping on, struggler!

You have the same style as Ralph Bakshi, and a lot of his aesthetic too. If Bakshi were a Berserk fan, we would probably have gotten stuff like this in the 90s.
