    I've been seeing your videos here and there on my UA-cam feed. Saw this one today and subbed. Good video and good ideas. Especially liked the last one. I can see several ways to put my own spin on it and sell it, and not feel guilty of stealing someone's idea. Thanks and keep 'em coming!

    I could never sell someone 3 of those shelves for $120s. I might be able to sell them for $60 with shipping. Now if I would use walnut wood, cherry, maple that’s different but not for stained wood

      @TimberDesigns  2 місяці тому +1

      Fair enough 😁, all depends on what wood is available where also. Thanks for watching

    The last project, I would have lowered the shelf 3/4 of an in, and then cut the outer edge at 45° to follow the line of the bottom of the back plate. All very nice, congrats and thank you. Dave & The Girls

    Cool ideas. I don't work with pine much. I could see that last shelf in walnut with a stripe of curly maple or sapele down the middle or the sides. It would really pop.

    • @TimberDesigns

      That would look awesome I agree!

    For the little shelf, you could even use a keyhole bit in your router and hang it up by them.

    • @TimberDesigns
      @TimberDesigns  3 місяці тому +1

      If you have that router bit 100%, and in the other projects also. Unfortunately I didn't at this point, but would have used it if I did. Thanks for watching!

    This is really what you need to build for eyeglasses: I Built an Heirloom Jewelry Box (and it's REALLY fancy)

    I was close to your place a couple weeks ago at Webers having a burger and shake on my way home from kayaking and fishing up north.
    I’ve watched a few videos Dave, keep up the good work.

      Hey Gary, that is an amazing piece you built. When you get wood like that it's like Christmas to some! Hope that you enjoyed the food at Webers, it's definitely a unique place! Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel Gary!

    To prevent glue from being a problem put some painters tape next to where you're going to glue. That will prevent the glue from seeping out and causing a problem.

    For the first project a small dado to hold the hanger would allow the shelf to sit flush on the wall

      Great idea between this and adding a keyhole would be great!

    What I seem to be finding about comparing Etsy prices is that the shipping is always “free” but they have to be making up for that by jacking up the prices. I’ve been doing TONS of comparisons on Etsy lately and my mind has been blown on asking prices for some things and how they’re actually making to make so many sales. Does that make sense or am I missing something about Etsy’s “Free Shipping” offer?

      Also loved this videos! Thanks for the new items and ideas!

      I think you're fairly spot on, plus Etsy takes around 20% of the sale, which is why items are sold at a higher price on the platform. Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching! 😁👍

      Thanks for the comment and appreciate the feedback. I don't normally use pine on projects which is one reason they do look much different, but they are stained with one coat of poly. Many more projects to come, with other woods 😁
