    Great video and projects. I really like the triangle shelf and I would suggest one addition, add a couple more keyholes and that gives the end user the option to hang it point up or point down. I liked the second napkin holder better and would only think a couple of spline added would add a touch of style, strength and give you just the option to increase the price. Thanks for sharing and love the projects!

    Great work you should do a series of project builds like this with minimal or just hand tools. It wasn’t till recently that I just started working with a couple pieces of 2 x 4 sheets of plywood that I had to build like a cat tree for my cat and to make a few things around my shop like Jiggs for my knife sheaths. Like I don’t have a lot of power tools I got a couple hand drills and a circular saw, but that was left out in the rain and winter by a roommate so that’s probably garbage now I’ve literally just been using a handsaw a file and chisel like an inch and a half chisel and I got this small like 1/8 Chisel and I’ve literally just been doing all my work which is those tools. Sorry I am digressing what I mean to say with all this is I was very hesitant about trying to do any woodworking projects because I didn’t have the “proper tools”. You don’t really need the proper tools.

    • @TimberDesigns

    Good video. The toaster tongs are cool. Around here they'd never be where they were the last time you saw them. And we don't have any kids either. lol I've never like wearing hats much but the area I live in hats are worn a lot so the hat caddy would sell. The plant stand would sell also but not as well as the hat caddy. Gun racks would sell around here. Fishing rod holders would too. You might could make a video on building some those for your viewers.

    Best way to tell if a wood worker knows their stuff… the direction they feed their thickness planer sled in. I always laugh when I see people feed it in with the butt stop going in last 🤦‍♂️ And yeah, a straight edge jig is a must have. The fence on my saw isn’t perfectly straight, it’s got a tiny deflection in in middle. Grrrrr…. So I just glued and screwed a board to a runner for the miter slot. I’m not to the point where I have cool clamps like that yet, so just use double sided tape to stick the piece I’m cutting. Or the old blue tape and CA glue trick. Works like a charm 👍

    • @TimberDesigns
      @TimberDesigns 9 днів тому

      Yes, definitely need to have the planer sled butt stop first so it pushes the sled through. If what your doing on the table saw works, then that's all that matters. Thanks for watching!

    I'm curious how you hung the board. Attached hanger or slotted key holes? I would think you would want it firmly fixed since you are sliding something into the slot to keep from pulling it off the wall.

    • @TimberDesigns
      @TimberDesigns 10 днів тому

      Hey Daniel, so I originally was going to use two sided tape, which I did, but I didn't like how it was hanging. So, I ended up cutting two keyslot holes with the router and hanging it with two screws into drywall plugs, which I felt a lot better about 😁.
