Thanks Judha, it was in a pretty bad state, the guides are corroded and the reel was basically a paper weight with barnacles haha. It was a good challenge, felt good to get it done

Put a hardyhead on my rig at Rose Bay wharf a few years back; Wasn"t paying attention and the whole thing went in!
Came back hrs later to see a Japanese man reeling it in on his rod..What a fluke! I gave him the 17 -18 inch Tailor to him as a gift ..He was happy as he had nothing,and so was I.
I got smoked there not long ago on a yakka lol
haha shroom this is like the video I suggest a long time back which I recommend you should try do it its where u find some lures and use those lures to try catch fish I recon it would be blast to make 😄

Fun to watch video and good on you for sticking to the challenge, very nice bream at the end. The cheapest reel you own is a Shimano Sienna? I own two same model Sienna's and they have worked well for me when bait fishing.
Thanks Joe, technically probably not as I have a large beach reel that might be cheaper but I don't know how much it's worth. Siennas go hard, caught jews and kings to 90cm on it haha

That's right Archer, even those that have corroded under the sea for ages haha. I like using 2.5" grubs for slow sink in skinny waters

I always fish where shoorm caught the rod and every time I go I get nothing but I always hear the story’s that people catch Jewys there and I still get nothing, woukd love to see shoorm catch something there (besides and combo) 😂
I’ve caught a few fish before in some previous videos but I’d like to fish it for a long time one day and see what happens
The sad thing is, as a father of a 4yr old kid who just lost her last rod over the side of the kayak, i reckon the tackleratz is one of the better little kid combos out there…
Yeah turns out it's a bit more expensive than I thought but it is in a terrible corroded state. Apparently two blokes lost it at night there to a fish so they can have it back or I might just toss it in the bin or donate it to a kid. It's heavily corroded and probably a biohazard which is the problem with it

I was at BP in May fishing at night on that wharf met two guys who told me they lost a pink rod after they hooked up and fish pulled rod in water, definitely it 😂

@@ShroomFishing 😂 I only spoke to them because it was raining and I needed shelter at the end of the wharf I helped them look because I had good torch but couldn’t see anything was also high tide
Chance encounter haha. If you ever come across them, they are welcome to have the rod back otherwise I might just donate it to a kid but it is in a terrible state (green corrosion)

That ugly stick is old. Most likely a kids combo. I've worked at Anaconda for two years and have never seen that combo. Rods from ugly stick are good, but please donate it as well.
I think you’re right James, I can’t see too many people would be looking for a 3 foot rod. Will probably end up donating it to a young angler in the future!

Dherdy, I didn’t take it, I fished it up from the river in a corroded state but I did say in this video if anyone wanted it back they are welcome to. I wouldn’t need to take a $10 rod when I’m using flagship Stella’s and Exists if that makes sense. I just want to make it clear because I know the title says I ‘found’ it but I actually fished it up and it looked like it had been there under the water for at least 6 months if not years
