- In this tutorial, I show you how simple it is to draw an arc using Inkscape - the free scalable vector graphics program! I demonstrate step-by-step how to ensure your arc is perfectly drawn, plus show you how to align and style the arc. With this technique, you can set your arc to any color, any stroke width, and even fill your arc in with patterns!
Inkscape is a powerful, free and open source alternative to Adobe Illustrator.

Perfect video. Was a life saver today. Thank you!
that was extremely helpful, thank you
Love the Gimp and Inkscape videos especially when you show tools I didn't know existed. If you hold down SHIFT the circle/arc starts in the center rather than the "corner". Also, how do you get the guide dot (handle, marker, thingy?) to be big?
Perfect tutorial!
Thank you!
looks like i do no have the align tool
thanks 👌💣
Goo day. I am doing exactly what you are doing step by step. When it comes to the part where you choose the arc then after choosing it I am clicking on the the white color with the cross. When I do the last step where I choose the black color to get the arc then the shape is still half a circle no arc. What am I doing wrong? Can you please help me? I am using the same as you
why don't you teach using AI in photo editing. that'd be a great shift.
AI is not the pro solution right now.
@@techofe-anopensourcebasedd5822 so are you saying we should stay with traditional photo editing? could you please share your opinions?
@@billgoldberg118 Not likely that, in my experience AI photo editor not that good enough if you are looking for FREE but there are plenty PAID and proprietary tools which is not efficiently budget friendly for small studio like mine.
