Anybody ever heard the bones song on "Clifford's Singalong Adventure"? At the beginning of the song, we can see a young boy pouring water onto a cardboard bone, and then drying it off with a towel. Get that joke? It's "Dry Bones"!
Some, I've SEEN when I was YOUNG, and seeing these WHEN SHR started - SOME, I've HEARD on a CD set my sister kept with her collection - NOW, I'm seeing THOSE I haven't ON the Internet.
i used this video to reinforce my unit on the human body. it went right along with all of the vocabulary and ideas my third graders were learning and wrapped it up in a fun way. the students were excited to hear words they were familiar with, such as femur, tibia, skeleton, organs etc. One student said "it was really cool how the body was in a blob when the skeleton jumped out because that is what would really happen if we didn't have our skeleton!!"
Is the narrator singing the same black dude that plays the principal in the movie "Wild Cats" with Goldie Hawn? The guy that keeps going "Riiiigggghhhhhit
@DresdenAnachronism well i'm sorry. sometimes text messageas and emails and youtube comments and things such as that look and are taken much more litteral then they are meant to be taken. and i get super defensive. im sorry. and i agree with you. i feel the same way. when i'm older and I have kids, the children's tv shows im going to show them are things like "Maurice Sendak's Little Bear" or "Bear in the Big Blue House" or "Blues Clues" rather than "Dora" or "Handy Many" or "Yo Gabba Gabba"
MY SKELETON IS GONNA COME OUT OF MY BODY!!!
The doggy was wearing a shirt!
Hahahahaha! I love Patton.
2:27 "OOUUUUCCCHHH!!!!!!! Ouch, oh that hurt."

This NEEDS to be remastered and put on DVD!!!!
We need more of this, and back on TV too! I'm actually in a class where they're using this right now!
Best song of SHR. I fucking love this movie.
This was always my favorite one, along with Interplanet Janet and Nouns...
CLASSIC! Takes me back to my childhood.
i always loved the learning aspect of these, and i always found that "tweet tweet tweet" funny.
Jack has a good sense of humor.
i was like 4 or 5 when i used to watch these!
This was a GREAT video which TALKS about skeletons
That singer's goin' crazy in this one! Awesome

I'm glad to be part of the generations that saw this when we were young

it is very funny but at the same time very istructive.
I'm enjoying it very much
I was not part of this generation, but my parents definitely made a big deal of buying the CDs and DVDs for me!
Today in science, we were taking notes on bones, and I started singing this song in my head about the cartilage and ligaments :)
WE WANT SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK BACK ON TV! GOOD GRADES NO DRAMA, LIKE HANNAH MONTANA! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD GRAAAAAAAAAAADES!
Them bones, them bones, them dried bones, now there the working of Lord! Classic!
I remember finding this a bit spooky when I was little, especially the sounds the cartilge and teeth made. Anyone else?
This is such an awesome video! Such good memories! :D
@luccaskunk - The opening chorus is from the song "Dry Bones," which was originally a Negro spiritual.
GROOVY!!!
My favorite character in this is the girl with tall legs.
lol we have to do this for our ''class assembley''!
i'm in nurse training at my high school and when i watch this it makes me laugh. :D it also reminds me of when i was a kid. :D
This is what colonel stikmeaner would sound like when singing.
The Intro harmony was raw
Using this for my 4th grade anatomy class.
I had the entire thing on VCR :3
Grammer, math, history, political science, biology, civics, science all wrapped up in Schoolhoue Rock. What else do grammer school-age kids need?

Jack Sheldon.

CORRECT! The skeleton is NOTHING more than the FRAMEWORK for one's BODY.
It said you'd be a blob w/out your skeleton inside you but that little boy doesn't become a blob when his skeleton comes out of him to be fed.
2:15 looks like May Kanker from ed edd n eddy.
brill
That girl witht he teeth looks like Terra from Teen Titans
In college and taking human anatomy...translation=Schoolhouse Rock Time!

my favorite one is the shot heard round the world
This is ONE of my ALL time FAVORITES, as well
If it weren't for this, I would not have passed the Constitution Test in order to graduate from the 8th grade & on to high school.
the cartilge kind of freaks me out
RATTLE ME BOOOOOONES
Is the narrator singing the same black dude that plays the principal in the movie "Wild Cats" with Goldie Hawn? The guy that keeps going "Riiiigggghhhhhit
I like that song much then body machine with schoolhouse rock them-not-so-dry bones. with classical music.
Why did they have to cancel this show?
BRING BACK SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK!!!
If you HAVE to ASK, you'd NOT like WHAT you hear for the ANSWER
Everything is the same... we will still be killing each other
@nicholedaprincess same here
The guy was singing that song must have been going mad behind the mic

@qtpie23451my sister did the same thing. she used the history lessons to help her with the preamble.
this is a good song
I agree!
Feed your bones, some good ole' CALCIUM!
Calcium and Vitamin D are GOOD for one's bones
@Valkodu No. Its just The family guy version of Bill Cosby sounds more like the one who is singing this video.
@Leansipper44 i wish you could make that NEED! bigger old chap.
Skeletons are pretty common now with goth/emo fashion :)
What do you mean PBS? These were originally broadcast on ABC!
Yup! I'm SURE I can REMEMBER this - in fact, I ran ACROSS a video wherein you'd hear SOMEONE say, "We'll be RIGHT BACK!"
The femur is the biggest single bone in the human body.
CORRECT, Ricky - the femur (which connects the knees to the MIDDLE skeletal area of ANYONE) would be big
Oh

Who else thought this video would be about the Israeli cartoon?
I hate milk, so I might be screwed in the future if I eat an apple.
NOT necesssarily -I think you can find SOME way to KEEP your teeth HEALTHY.
@DresdenAnachronism i sorta agree i mean jimmy neutron is a good show its about science but hannah montana ya no hannah montna
This voice reminds me too much of Bill Cosby form Family Guy
I think it might actually be none other than Ray Charles...He did do a couple of the shorts.
No. His name is Jack Sheldon.
I think you're RIGHT here, Larry - I've HEARD Ray Charles before, and he has QUITE a remarkable voice.
@ironmancwb You're welcome. Please tell me this isn't sarcasm.
When i was younger and i saw this, it scared the FREAK out of me! x-D HAHA!
ahahahahahahahahha i'm italian, i don't know what's this...
Whoever sings this, he sounds like this was the last thing in the universe he wanted to do.
Sounds like too much of an effort.
What a PITY!
@DresdenAnachronism jimmy neutron was the shit.
Is it me or does he sounds like Ray Charles?
I'll say BOTH!
2:28 It hurts that much?
@DresdenAnachronism
so your saying your going to treat them like elementary schoolers their whole life? eventually they will grow out of this.
Since when did Schoolhouse Rock produce Christian worship songs? I refer only to the opening chorus
@dm100971 Billy Nye the Science Guy :p But School House Rock first!!!!
