I'm 54 and I know all of these by heart...because they were just that good! We are getting older..as these came out in the early 1970s. Yeah, so...who said I ever grew up? (lol)
Thats what makes SHR so brilliant! All the double entendres on almost everything. I loved these when i was a kid. Now im 45 and I still watch these and passed them to my own kids when they were small.
This was one of the coolest skits from Schoolhouse Rock!! They don't do stuff like this for kids anymore. That's why nobody's learning nothing, schools are unsafe, and all they care about is video games, facebook, starting fights and the bullsh*t that they watch on reality tv. This world is lost like a mother f
*Grady Bernard Tate* - (January 14, 1932 - October 8, 2017) was an American jazz and soul-jazz drummer and baritone vocalist. In addition to his work as sideman, Tate released many albums as leader and lent his voice to songs in the animated Schoolhouse Rock! (Source: Wikipedia)
Still love this. Kids need to learn their math with a little jazz. I feel like going to a rough pool hall and singing the blues about 9. (and being kicked out !.... mean old number 9!).
Something I didn't notice as a kid, adding the two digits of a product of 9 doesn't always add up to 9. Take 99 for instance, those two together equal 18.
Of course... I believe when I was writing the comment I was being real literal about it. I know the real rule is that a number is divisible by 9 if the digits adds up to be a multiple of 9

Creed Justice Yep. It's messed up.
New generation parents would just complain that the cat is bullying the mouse. They couldn't handle it.
I know!! Dumb kids now are always watching gamers cuss, and they’re like, 5 years old. While I’m watching this, kids are lip syncing on musical.ly, 😑
they all eat hot chip and lie

I'll never get tired of this art style...and of course the great songs Schoolhouse Rock gave us.
One of Bill Peckmann and Tom Yohe’s best collaborations
I watched this first run--in 1973.
All the schoolhouse rock songs helped me out so much in elementary school 😂 This one here is a personal favorite of mine!

It's too easy for us adults. Some little kids will struggle.
Still love this. Kids need to learn their math with a little jazz.

(and being kicked out !.... mean old number 9!).
Great performance by legendary jazz drummer Grady Tate.
this must be brought back! Kids today can learn to multiply very easily!
No doubt. I trace my love of The Blues to this very song. I have attempted to educate my Nieces and Nephews to their value as well.
thanks for the post this is my favorite school house rock song simply classic!!!!!
I love it! I'm 47 and this was so cool back in the day. Heck, it's still cool!
Good stuff man, back in the day when Saturday morning cartoons were the best baby sitter.
I'm watching all of these and I think I'm getting flashbacks to 3rd grade. Suddenly I realize that was about 13 years ago. :o
Nice an" jazzy!
Brings back memories!
CLASSIC!!!
This was my fave from the SchoolHouse Rock series.
They should run these on TV again!!
I'm serious.
These videos were wonderful! I bought them all for my kids!
Something I didn't notice as a kid, adding the two digits of a product of 9 doesn't always add up to 9. Take 99 for instance, those two together equal 18.
Yeah but 18 is a product of (9 + 9) which is 18 divided by 2=9
Of course... I believe when I was writing the comment I was being real literal about it. I know the real rule is that a number is divisible by 9 if the digits adds up to be a multiple of 9
+Rease Phillips The same thing is true of the number 3 (18 = 1 + 8 = 9; 21 = 2 + 1 =3; etc)
the more accurate description of this is that when a number is a multiple of 9, the digits added together will also be a multiple of 9.
nice blues riff and as a pool player ^5!
Ahhh, yes!!! JAMMIN'
Danger Mouse meets the Naughty Number 9 Cat.

Eight × nine is 72! love that part
Well it was made in 1973 so, maybe culutural acceptance for age has changed in the past 30-40 years?

It's not Jazz. It's Blues.
the cat is weird

I think that this is one of the less well done Schoolhouse Rock productions.
