I listen to this all the time, and it fills me with such joy. This is the best version of Jeep's Blues I've ever heard. Absolutely amazing. I just played it for my high school students, and they were blown away.
Ah man!! Thank you so much Justin. And cheers to you for sharing this with your students. I’m so very glad that they also enjoyed it. True story….my wife asked me over and over to “do something” on my birthday because I never do. She said that I should do something music related…….and so I settled on doing a live, in studio recording of some songs i’d been listening to during that time. With an added bonus of some of my friends were in the room watching it all unfold……so the applause you hear is very real. And thus #Three24 was made. But I wasn’t trying to make an actual record out of this until the studio engineer called me the next day like “man Rico, you have to come back to the studio. Like ASAPTUALLY!” I thought something was wrong but it all came out nice indeed. We fixed a couple things and I finally released it. Now It’s available on all streaming platforms. 🙏🏾 Again……thank you so very much Justin. This really means everything. Tell your students that The Verzatile Band says hello.
Cikidi Harrison Wow! Thanks a million for your kind words. We definitely aren’t extinct. Come to Chicago if you can. We’d love to connect with you. Blessings!
Cikidi…. So sad that all you apparently saw or heard was “black” musicians. Many of us have moved past that skin color prison. THIS is AMERICAN music. That’s all I saw and heard. American musicians. I pray for you….
Thank goodness this sort of music group still exists. You guys took something already indefinitely awesome and upped the ante x100 more: bringing out every last note, savoring the melody, truly entertaining the listeners and partygoers by the looks of it. To put it in Christian Bale's words: 'Who starts a song like that?!' The Wabbit did and you outdid the Wabbit. When you get goosebumps listening to a piece of music you know it was good. Bumps all over; this is a whole other animal. What a truly exquisite performance.
Wow!!! Thank you so very much Marwin. Messages like this really makes us all feel like we’re on the right path and doing something right. It was at that moment when I saw the movie and the song was played…..I got chills all over again and thought “I’d love to try and do a rendition of this classic.” Thanks again for this. It means the world to us. 🙏🏾
Thank you kindly Marwin. I really appreciate the love man. 🙏🏾 Are you ever in Chicago? We gig all the time. Not as this conglomerate of a group but you may catch our 5-8 piece band out performing.
Oh Yeah!!!! "The Rabbit" is smiling ear to ear looking down on you guys.
Thank you kindly! We appreciate the love. 🙏🏾
Glad i found this, RIP Duke, what a legend and amazing artist
