Y'all clowned on this! This song is now one of "My Favorite Things" Indeed. I already loved it and now the bar has been raised. We stalking y'all! Yes, my wife and I are coming out to see you tomorrow! Peace and love Fam!
My dude on the drums did not miss a beat holy shit I was waiting for him to get tired at 5 mins I looked at how long the video is. And the shaker did not miss a beat
Andre Stair Maaaaan....we appreciate the love Andre. That's the band's founder and C.E.O. Mr. Paul Hall Jr. His timing is beyond impeccable. 🙌🏿🙌🏾🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿
Never thought I would find a version I liked just as much as Coltrane's version but this is right up there with his. From a fellow musician you guys are awesome.
Shoutout to the rythm section who have to keep it steady and tight for almost 11 minutes! While the rest of the band gets to take turns freestyling. All great musicians, but kudos to the rythm section!
My duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudes!!! Y'all are blazing this joint!!! Keep pushing the envelope, fellas.... The glass ceiling is disappearing and your limitiations are becoming no more! Go and get it... #LiveMusic #AintNothingLikeIt
Javel T Thanks a milli brotha. We definitely had a blast with these songs. We promise to keep doing what we do best. Stay tuned.....we have more in store.
Bro...How did the drummer have to deal with the piano and the horns and the other stuff going on all at the same time and still keep his beat? Was it all improv too? Just how???
That’s a great question. I think it’s the same way when jazz musicians back in the 40’s & 50’s would play a swingin’ tune at lightning speed. You focus on your timing but keep an open ear to everything that’s happening around you. Then it turns into a musical conversation between you and the other players. It comes with years of experience, playing and practice …..after a while it’ll be like walking or riding a bike. You’ll be a pro soon enough. 💪🏾
By the way……everything was improv. We just played the top of “My Favorite Things” the André 3000 version on his “The Love Below” album and we just freaked it into our own way. No rehearsal…..all 1 take in a studio in front of a live audience.

They’re under “Verzatile Band”. Make sure you spell it with a “z” and write the whole thing. It’s a black and white album cover.
