Parked in the same spot as you I didn't get shouted at, it was all done with whistles, didn't look in the mirrors once guy gave me directions and parked me within 2 inches of a load of motorcycles, when I got out of the cab he came and thanked me for not doing what the majority of drivers do and using the mirrors, a consumate pro, parked everyone with the whistle and not a bump to be seen, was about 12 years back.
Ahh,Ancona loverly place!!!!. Total nightmare, definitely needs sorting out. All over the place, book here,park here then guess as to how you get to your ferry ⛴️.
But the ferry with cabin and sea views was good. Food was excellent and a bar on the top deck excellent. Don't know how you found it ?.
One thing l did think was dangerous on board was the fact you could open the sea door !!!!!. This is supposed to be locked while at sea!!. Then you could walk back to your car anytime 😮. Good if you had forgotten anything but really not on.

Patras , bit of a nightmare for police when we were there. Illegal immigrants running all over the place. Trying to get into the trucks and trailers. Talked to one police officer there. He said it was a 24 / 7 day job. Chasing these people around the port. But they couldn't do anything to stop it.
Last time l used the patras to Athens motorway it was still under construction. Corinth is interesting . You didn't go down to the lower road there. When a ship comes through the bridge lowers down into the canal . Ship passes and up comes the bridge very wet. Never seen a road bridge do this. Only in Greece as they say.
We turned right at Corinth to take the motorway to kalamata. Then onto Mani peninsula where we live.
Love the dogs ,looked well fed to. You are obviously an animal lover. Trouble is there are shed loads of stray dogs here in Greece. The Greeks don't look on animals the same way as we do. Never been able to get my head round this. Same as the cats here,we have 8 . 6 indoor cats and two that live outside. All were abandoned cats.
Well enough of my rambling.

I remember Ancona Check-in and missing a turn to the dock going around the town getting back for 2nd go at the roundabout. Then a scrum to get on the Grimaldi ferry in a 6 metre motorhome back in 2019. Enjoy your videos.

The adriatic route was a share between Superfast and Anek lines until a few months ago when superfast acquired the almost bankrupt anek,taking possession of Olympic champion now Superfast 3 and Hellenic spirit(probably superfast 4 in the future).Anek as a brand serves now the Greek Islands and primary Crete.

Hahaha Great content. I never could get over the sitting around waiting. I must have read 1000 books over the years. Killing time in some remote truck parking spot.. But still loved it. Although a lot has changed over the years basically its still the same. Drive all the hours possible and then spend days scratching your balls. Keep it up..

When I was working in Rumania, Bosnia, Bulgaria and occasionally Greece we had one thought regarding stray dogs stay clear. Rabies is rife in dogs in this part of the world.

Glad to see it wasn’t just me and a colleague who took the dogs for a walk too!
We could not shake them off for the 2 days we were at Harry’s,we walked under the flyover and for about a mile straight up that road to a bank machine and a bakery and yes we had the 3 in tow!
They even tried to get on the bus to the metro station so we could go into Athens for the day,bloody things!😂😂

About to start my hgv course, pretty sure I wanna do the same job as you. Looks more interesting then just going up and down the uk
European tramping is not recommended for the ill prepared or inexperienced. Just be sure you know what you’re getting yourself into and the things you’ll have to deal with.
