I love how you can really that you appreciate the actual Wallace and Gromit and you're not just taking the piss at them for being a well-known property. The opening with the pictures mirrors The Curse of the WereRabbit, the newspaper's front page is about the death of Feathers McGraw, you can see the Techno-Trousers are still at large. Even stuff like how Wallace and Gromit's skin is constantly morphing like they were made of clay and are getting smudged by people's fingers between frames, and Wallace's movements are slightly jerky really show your appreciation to the art of stop-motion animation.
The best thing is, it's probably something Wallace WOULD have made- and what he would have called it. I could see him having it backfire on him and he's like "I shouldn't have made that..."
At first, you'd probably think that Wallace appearing on the phone was to make it more scary and make Wallace seem like some supernatural threat, but then you remember old phones have a linked connection between bases; Wallace simply picked up the other phone in the hallway.
Pretty eerie and surreal, but really love how the clay textures constantly changes, and how Wallace has a similar appearance (or at least some aspects) to Klaymen from The Neverhood.
It’s actually a fact that gromit does indeed kind of have a mouth, in the wrong trouser. We can see him eating cereal and he would be interrupted so we wouldn’t necessarily see how he eats it and in the curse of the were rabbit, we can see him drinking tea. He also grunts in a grand day out and the wrong trouser too, but I’m not sure if they forgot about it. Nice cartoony video tho!
Something about the idea of Wallace being a jagged-looking psychopath is just funny to me especially with how He just wants to turn everyone including Gromit into Wensleydale.
I absolutely love the call backs to chicken run, curse of the were rabbit, shaun the sheep and even pixar with the wrong trousers walking like the pixar lamp
Using Wallace’s actual voice lines and sentence mixing to voice him instead of an impressionist genuinely scared the shit out of me so much when I heard it,and I love that while gromit is scared and human feeling, wallace can still fuck with cartoon physics and stretch his limbs comically, although now he has a much more malicious intent behind it.
There's so many great details in this, but a few particular things stand out for me. 1. The shifting surfaces of the models to simulate the old claymation vibes. Feels good. 😁 2. Wallace more or less being himself, but simultaneously utterly deranged is hilarious. 3. The tone still having an _innocence_ about it, if you will. Makes it very watchable while retaining that unique weirdness you've infused it with - not an easy thing to achieve. Also, R.I.P. Shaun. 🤣
My theory: Wallace went off the deep end and started turning towards involuntary human experimentation. This terrified Gromit, but he couldn't work up the will to overthrow his father (moral father). Gromit eventually decided to lock him in the basement, but still wonders if he should turn Wallace in. The short itself is a nightmare where Gromit sees his and Wallace's adventures unravel around them.
even if Gromit wanted to try and stop him and alert the police he PHYSICALLY cannot speak this even happens in curse of were-rabbit where he tries alerting Wallace in one of scenes but has no mouth to alert him.
I recognized a lot of the dialogue from watching a lot of Wallace and Gromit when I was younger and it seems to be a mishmash of dialogue from the original VA from various episodes and the films to make new dialogue. Was done very well if that was the case!

Then, in the scenes with the window in shot, you can see the moon in the sky, and it appears to have a gigantic gash into it, with pieces floating close by. All this subtly says that during this wallace and gromit’s trip to the moon, they set of a nuclear explosion that was strong enough to break many chunks right off the moon. The subtle storytelling is truly amazing, and just a bit unnerving to think that they could set off an explosion of that magnetude, as it’d be just as devistating on earth as it was to the moon. Truly amazing details for something in the background and completely missable by many retakes. Took me my 5th time watching this to have noticed.

I'm genuinely more creeped out by the Wrong Trousers covered in blood at the start...
You managed to make Gromit scarier and, ironically, make Wallace less spooky
Wallace pulling the door off it's hinges with his mouth and then proceeding to shatter it into pieces with a single bite was awesome.
Whoever voiced Wallace, give this man a raise
It's the original voice actor. The used snips of audio from the movies
It’s Peter Sallis
Is nobody gonna talk about how good the intro is
The whole ball of it is really good - no, it is really good. the animation, story - and the robot legs reference, love it.
- I'm getting this converted to AVI. 👍👍👍
Man, I love this cartoon and your animation returned me to my childhood. Thank you for such good and funny parody
Please make more episodes of this! This is absolutely golden horror animation 👌🏻
"Just a bit of harmless P A I N, that's all!"
One of those lines that lives rent free in my head now, anyone else?
Finally, a worthy successor to “Mickey is forced to choose between Goofy and his country”
