I'm planning on getting a mini pc soon and a ssd. Still deciding if I want one of these programs. Thanks this is probably the easiest to understand video I've seen. I hope you have a video about your mini computer
James, Below is a link to a Mini PC that exceeds the specs on mine and is an upgrade plus less expensive. I use has gone EOL. It works great and has a small foot print. I have also included a link to the SSD I use as well. Let me now if you have any Audirvana questions. WARNING the links here are Amazon affiliate links. I would make a small commission but, it doesn't effect your cost. Mini PC; amzn.to/3UJKutu, SSD: amzn.to/3V5DEje. Please let me know how it goes. I might do a quick video on it. Just to cover the specs I recommend. Thanks so much.
Hi Ed. Thanks for sharing the Audirvana review. I’m a bit confused. So the app runs on your PC, how do you send the music to your DAC, via ethernet? Do you plug your DAC to the Windows PC via USB or coax? Can you control Audirvana from your phone? Is there an app or does it have a web interface like moOde? Thanks again.
Rafael, Audirvana runs on a PC or MAC, a MAC mini works great, and you would connect the PC/MAC via USB. USB to your Eversolo is the best connection. The Eversolo has a great USB input so noise and jitter are not an issue. I did a video on using an Android tablet/phone or an iPad to remotely control Audirvana. It works very well. Let me know how it goes. My email is oldguyhifi@gmail.com. Thank you.
I JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL, SO FAR SO GOOD,THANK YOU.. I DO Have a question re audirvana. I listen primarily to classical music . is it possible to display my library from I tunes plus my favorites from Qobuz in the genre mode sop I don't get my music intermixed. I appreciate any help you can give me. I tried root and being an old guy it just seemed to complicated for me when all I want to do is improve my sound and display a library
iTunes will not work with Audirvana. Audirvana only supports Tidal, Qobuz or HRA (High Res Audio)-Streaming services. I wish I had better news for you. Thank you for asking nd watching.
Hello, thank you very much for the video. I`m experimenting the trial version and when it is in the Kernel mode I can`t control the volume within the app, I have to manually control it in my speakers. However in the Wasapi mode I can control the volume within the app. Is this how it is supposed to be, or there is something wrong? Thank you
Paulo, Please send me an email at oldguyhifi@gmail.com. That way I can send you screenshots that should help you. I think it is just a setting that needs to be changed. I will keep an eye out for your email. Thx.
@@OldGuyHifi Thank you for the response. Well, I restarted the computer and suddenly eveything is ok. The volume is working in kernel mode! Thank you so much😀
Good morning and thank you for this excellent demo, much appreciated! After watching a couple of your videos I decided to try Audirvana instead of Roon. Do you have experience with Roon and if so how do both solutions compare from your point of view? Greetings from The Netherlands
Welcome. I did use Roon a few years ago and chose Audirvana because I thought it sounded better. I still think so. I do think that it is better sounding than almost every piece of streaming hardware I have heard to date. That includes some expensive gear. Truthfully, I am also very used to it. It doesn't require any special hardware other than a PC or a Mac. Please let me know if you have any questions about it. I will be glad to help. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I do appreciate it.
@@OldGuyHifi Thanks for sharing, confirms my choice ;-) At start I’ll use a simple HP Windows10, i3, 8GB laptop (formerly my son’s, he grew over it). l cleaned it completely and reinstalled Windows and I’ll use it only for for DSD download & storage and Audirvana use. I’ll connect the laptop via USB to my Audio Analogue AA DAC, which can play native DSD up to 512. My streamer (Innuos Pulse) is not compatible with Audirvana I think… Add tips, tricks and the like are always welcome!
With Audirvana you won't need am outboard streamer. You can set up you Tidal/Qobuz accounts in Audirvana and it will do the streaming. It does a better job streaming then almost every dedicated hardware streamer I have tried for less than €3000.00. Very, very nice DAC BTW. I know it sounds silly but, I recommend that you get a good USB cable as I think it makes a difference. Not crazy. Something like the Audioquest Pearl USB: www.audioquest.com/products/pearl-usb-a-b-digital-audio-cable. I am sure that is available in Europe. Please keep me posted on your journey. Thank you. oldguyhifi@gmail.com.

@@OldGuyHifi good morning and thank you 😊 I'm old too and this stuff is sorta complicated that audirvana video was excellent 👍

@@OldGuyHifi Does that mean audirvana won’t pull my library from Apple Music to process and display?
Audirvana won't pull your iTunes library in. It doesn't interface with iTunes at all. Sorry.
