Awesome Tommy, the video production has come a long way from the early days. Super detailed. Not a step missed Red callipers look better than the gray you had on before
1:04 I absolutely love how you admitted you bought them mostly for visual reasons!😂 Keis better be paying you handsomely for your endorsement. Tommy your videos get better and better. You need your own sports car television show. Spectacular!
grease anywhere near the break assembly is a total no no. it tends to liquify as the heat increases and runs on the friction material. the used greases are usually heat resistant so burning them of the rotor is not that easy. on top of this the grease acts as a thermal paste, conducting heat from the pad to the calliper's pistons.
I think they recommended the perfect brake kit for you and your car because regular slotted rotors is good however J slotted rotors is better because the slotting is more aggressive giving a better pedal feel and has better performance. A must have with high performance brakes is good quality grippy wheels and quality performance brake pads.
Holy Schmok ))) Nice video! I really respect those who can do it with their own hands! But you did only first step of bed-in, AP Racing rotors needs the second (Temperature) part :)
@@TommyLGarage Track time is wonderful) I know one inexpensive trick for track riding, some friends of mine change lower arms on their Carreras for arms from GT3. GT-arms has metal hinge and car will go more precisely, and you can make more agressive camber angles. Ride comfort for street using still good, and the metal ball in the arms is neatly covered with rubber from the factory, and unlike a pure racing one, it will not creak during the rain, and will ride for as long as usual
This coming spring I will be getting a $100k+ car but I have been having a major dilemma. I am a Lexus fan boy so I want to get the LC 500 performance but I have also been looking at the 991. Naturally aspirated V8 vs H6 twin turbo.... tough choice for me
Did you pre pump the brakes before bleeding to get some fluid into them and the pistons to touch the disc, or just crack on with the bleeding? Love your videos
Hey Tomazs, big fan of your channel. Are aftermarket rotors offered to fit your OEM calipers? I am guessing no, bc you prolly would've gone that direction first. But please LMK
@@zyzlol bc he tracks or will track the car, and cross drilled rotors are not the move. They are prone to cracking. But I asked bc I am confident the oem brake system w aftermarket pads and rotors were more than enough for the job.
Amazing on how many people upgrade their Porsche, with all those upgrades. Bet a pro driver bet any lap time in your car without upgrades. It’s not the car.
This is my dream car, and I’m happy someone using it and treating it that well. Good for you great video as always
Thanks for watching !
I love how you use your Jack Stands with the Quick Jack, great personal safety tip.
Thanks!
Love your videos. No muss no fuss, you get to the point and do it! Thanks for your contribution to making my cars better and cheaper!
I appreciate that!
The Soapy Water Music was awesome 😊
Thanks!

Thanks Mirza!!!
Thanks for this upload, now I can finally install the brake kit on my Porsche it’s been driving nonstop
Get to it! Time to roll up those Fendi sleeves!

Worked fine for over two years now
they are beautiful. I watched your pick up M3 video and got my 2018 M3, now I want a Porsche... lol .. you make me spending money XD
It’s a slippery slope!
I kind of want a DCT F80 now :)
Love the driving sandals Tom. Lol.
Racing shoes !
Great video, thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I was waiting for such content!
Great!

Ill need that for my wagon 😍😍😍

Going to the track soon for some proper bedding in :)

911 all day. The best driving experience
@@TommyLGarage Why do you consider it as the best driving experience? I have heard that a lot from friends who own Porsche's
Lexus is for women and old people
Porsche all and every day based on performance… it shouldn’t even be a hard decision. If you care about retaining value… Porsche again. Good luck!
Did you pre pump the brakes before bleeding to get some fluid into them and the pistons to touch the disc, or just crack on with the bleeding? Love your videos
No pre pumping needed. And thanks!
we hope to see you at the track this season (even if you switched to team Stuttgart)
Most definitely!!
Great video! Looking to do the same upgrade to my 17 991.2. Do you notice any squeaking with those pads/rotors?
Zero squeaking but I attribute it to my brake lubricant. Never disappoints
LOL I was like is that a e46 m3 at 15:13 and then realized it was the one you test drove.
Good eye!!! Might buy it
Hey Tommy..my 991.2 has rear steering, do you think that would cause a problem with this big brake upgrade?
No. They will fit.
Bryan from @kiesmotorsports can also help you confirm.
@TommyLGarage thanks for the quick reply. After watching your videos I've decided to mod my 991.2!!
@@nunleyinsurance7742 it’s a no brainer! These cars are insanely capable

if just replacing rotors, why avoid OEM?
@@zyzlol bc he tracks or will track the car, and cross drilled rotors are not the move. They are prone to cracking. But I asked bc I am confident the oem brake system w aftermarket pads and rotors were more than enough for the job.
Girodiscs are great for OEM replacements. In my case I wanted to go with something bigger and something which will make it easier to replace pads
Looks good 👍🏿🔥
Thanks as always Jay!
When I grow up, I want to be Tommy l garage
Every kid wishes for that!
Would it be the same as doing it in a porsche 981? Thank you
Yes. Exactly the same
Did you lower the car? What suspension did you get?
Yes. Eibach springs
So the weight of the brake kit is more than before?
Kind of. But they look amazing
@@TommyLGarage They look amazing. Judging from the stopping power they were worth it.
Can this set up be used on a e46 bmw
Yes!
Will it work on F30?
Yes.
Meaning everything that was used in you’re video.
Yes it can just need an e46 specific adapter
Amazing on how many people upgrade their Porsche, with all those upgrades. Bet a pro driver bet any lap time in your car without upgrades. It’s not the car.
No question about it. But I did it purely from a visual standpoint
I’m just hating, looks great!
@@sd5ten didn’t take it wrong at all. Cheers!
That yellow color gives me a head ache lol
Scratch it !
Great videos Tommy. Watched your F80 spark plug video like ten times before attempting myself
@@igor7525 it’s easy! Hope it all worked out for you.
Man, you couldn’t out brake the stock parts bro.
Agreed. What else ?
porsche god may bless you with new wheels
? lol
OEM baby !!!
Why do you need a big brake kit? Your car makes 370 hp... that's 37 more hp than a slow e46 m3 ; )
3500 lbs for the M3
3200 lbs for the 911
M3 is slow
