    I own some GREAT tube amps and such. I also have the Helix and Kemper. Since I bought the TMP, it's really all I've been playing. For me it delivers.

    Just mentioned to Zac Childs today to check out a TMP. He said he was going to hit Fender up to demo one.
    No need to read a manual for the TMP. Haven’t looked at it yet. The Facebook help is plenty. 👍

    What i learned. Try to let your wife fall over your pedalboard to get permission to buy a modeler😂.

    Pete Thorn just posted the best demo of a TMP yet. He actually put thought into getting great sound instead of complaining about presets in Version 1 software like some mediocre reviewers. It is apparent the TMP is a great design. Just like it became obvious the Stratocaster was a great design in the hands of Hendrix. The graph sniffers have to watch worldwide sales of the TMP skyrocket. The TMP experience: like the first time I heard an overdriven Fender Deluxe Reverb. Or the sound Clapton had on 1966's Hideaway. Or the sound Robben Ford had on a Tube Screamer into a Bassman which inspired Dumble to make the Overdrive Special. And many others. The TMP is ready now to take over. The updates will just make it more obvious. Some people say, "oh, I'll wait and see what develops". I tell them, wait months while the TMP is backordered and lose that time learning now and how and then the updates come in and make your learning curve that much steeper. The TMP should be on your Bucket List as much as an Xmas gift.

    Fractal is still king of the mountain to my ears. It handles low end response far better than the others. Is FAR more balanced and “real” sounding. Plus, you can tweak any sound imaginable. Those guys who “can’t get their sound” out of a Fractal” simply need to put the work into it to do so. The only thing the other units do better is have a streamlined (and simple) UI. That’s it. Fractal will most likely overhaul theirs down the road. With Fractal, you can “feel” the difference under your fingertips. The others have an abundance of presence mixed in and sound thin by comparison. The notes die off quickly, no Iife to be heard or felt. I’ve seen the same thing in multiple videos on UA-cam…others are good, but still lacking. Everything costs pretty much the same, so I think it’s crazy to purchase (and learn) anything other than Fractal products. There’s a reason the pros are using them almost exclusively.

      I had a headrush pedalboard, pod go, helix lt and back to tube amp. Also have the tonex. Nice but not for me. Tube amp was the best sound. Revv d20. But i kept buying pedals. Now i bougth the fractal fm3. More than enough for me. Hope that i finally found what suits my needs. It can arrive any moment now.

      You’ll love it. There’s just “something” missing in the others. A very stale, lifeless tone that’s not found in tube amps. Fractal has that (pretty much) figured out.

    The ease of use of the TMP makes it my most commonly used device by far. I spend less time fiddling with dials, searching for options, and hooked up to computers. The others are great, they just don’t work as well for me. I haven’t tried QC or ToneX yet, though

    I agree. I had an ax FX three and sold it within 30 days out of complete frustration.

      Should’ve taken the time to learn it. It really is the best sounding (and most complete) modeler available. The UI sucks on Fractal products, but the sound(s) you can eventually achieve are definitely worth the frustration.

    All of them are amazing and all have pros and cons so no matter what you buy there will likely be a few things that you wish were different.However, lets be honest most of those gripes are "first world problems" and nit-picks. I just got my TMP and it is exceeding expectations so far.I say watch/read reviews and just get the one that will be best match for you and the playing you do.

    Doesn't anyone make a transit case for the TMP? Yes they do. Find it yourself. It's a durable polypropylene copolymer resin case with foam interior and room for expression pedal, mic and cables. SKB iSeries. If you are spending close to 2K for a modeler that you are going to take on the road, doesn't it make sense to spend a few $ for a case. If you buy an American Strat, you get a hardshell case. You get nothing with a Squire as you would expect. The TMP is as valuable as an American Strat, so why no Pro case for a Tone Master Pro. All these people playing their TMP units onstage. If the TMP could talk, it would say, ala, David Byrne, "Well! How did I get here?!"

    I'm confused; how were owners of other top modelers upset about the Fender? Why does Fender releasing a modeler upset someone?

      If you go to The Gear Page and read thru the 420-page thread on the TM Pro, you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Do you not realize that women also play guitar? You always only talk to the guys. As a female guitar player and a fan of your channel .. just hoping you could fix this. Thanks

      My daughter, SIL, stepdaughter and grandkids all call my wife and me "you guys" or just "guys". When my daughter needs her daughters and son to go somewhere, she says "Come on guys, time to go." My wife (who is also a guitarist) addresses her YT audience (99% female) by starting out with "Hi guys!" She's got over 5,000 subscribers and no one has ever called her on it. And there's no way that I'll ever say "Hi guys & gals!" or "Hello, ladies & gentlemen". I'm sorry that you feel slighted, but I absolutely am not addressing only males; there is nothing male-centric or misogynistic in my videos. I treat everyone the same, and I address everyone as "You guys". There's nothing more to it than that.

      @msvapehead 3 місяці тому

      @@DougBsDigitalDen did you say for the guys to ask their wives for a Christmas present. How about hey folks or something non gender specific. And you do say “most guys out there” I wasn’t referring to the hey guys expression. You do specifically address the guys in the audience. Just be aware of it.

    • @msvapehead
      @msvapehead 3 місяці тому

      You might not be aware of when you are using guys as a way of addressing men specifically. Like “the guys playing out there” .. the guys wanting to know the information”. Stuff like that. “Hey guys” is pretty accepted as a non gender expression at this point it the other ways your addressing the “guys” in the audience.
