- Hi! I’m Andromeda (She/They)! Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy the video!! :)
As many of you have heard I’m now selling merch which includes a variety of different designs. The store is to help pay for my transition and save up for affording bottom surgery. There are stickers, pins, and magnets which are sold through Redbubble and I have shirts, sweaters, hoodies, crop tops, and tote bags which are being sold on Teespring. As I said, merchandise sales will largely go to help pay for my transition, but I’m also planning to donate 10% of the sales to LGBTQIA+ charities and organisations (a percent I plan to increase over time as I get closer to my transition goal) and another 10% to funding for the channel. I’m really happy with the merch designs and I hope you take the time to check them out!

For those that don’t know the Queer Resource is intended as a comprehensive resource for queer people and allies to utilize. The purpose of this document is to provide a place that queer people and those outside the community can find educational information, learn about queer terminology and history, find resources and LGBTQIA+ charities and organizations that they can donate too, small queer businesses to support, and much more. The reason for the creation of this document is that there is a lack of representation for queer people in media. There is also a lack of educational materials on queer history and LGBTQIA+ issues, and it is often difficult for people to seek out educational content, learn about LGBTQ+ history, and ways that people can support the community. It can also be difficult to find media without the significant presence of harmful stereotypes and biases and I want this to be a stepping point for the more widespread availability of healthy queer media and educational sources. This is a document that will grow over time as I revise and add to the content. As of now, despite the 40 pages of content, it is in its beginning stages and a lot of information is missing, but this will be filled in over time! I hope you find this helpful and feel free to share it with whoever you think may benefit from the resource.

oughh that tiktok around the 20 minute mark is interesting but sets off a bit of a pet peev, I am aroace and love to see the history but you can't just SAY that a historical figure was a queer identity that they themselves never said they identify with! You can say "this person was vocal about not wanting a partner and today they may have identified as aroace" but it's rude to just say that a real breathing person, even if they're a historical figure, is an identity they never said they were, both to the person and to the community
I agree with you, it could've been worded better
Exactly!
There's also the whole homophobic aspect of history, where people may have been seen by the public as ace because it was too dangerous to be seen as having a same sex partner.
And conservative values that had allosexual people living ace lives within religious organisations, or because they were "too focused on their work" to pursue romantic or sexual relationships. Places where the lack of relationship would be seen as a positive thing, and not some weird broken person.
I know that some cultures have had the language and celebration of different genders and sexualities for hundreds, if not thousands of years (twin-spirited indigenous Americans, third gender in Aboriginal Australian culture, gods that alternate genders in Hindu mythology). But I don't know what those cultures knew or thought about asexuality.
THIS! I think it's important talking about and acknowledging that people have had complicated, non allocishet relationships with gender and sexuality and identity for all of history, but forcing a label on them is just 🤢. it's an important thing to talk about but it's also important to phrase it very carefully and do your best to not assume or put someone in a box. at the end of our day, it's none of our business.
Yeah, unless the historical figure is so insanely queer it's obvious.
@@commandercorl1544 no, they still shouldn't be labeled unless they did label themselves. of course it's fine to say they weren't straight or allo or cis, but assigning any more specific labels is weird.
Marilyn Monroe was ace... My heart feel so full of kinship. Every word of that diary resonated with me.
The intersex videos are amazing and makes me feel validated. I'm hormonally intersex which has caused PCOS. Was I marked female at birth because I have no visual signs of being intersex? Yes, but that doesn't mean I'm not still intersex because hormones are still an important factor.
Thank you for this compilation.
He cool a other person that is hormonally intersex! (I have CAH)
Much love and respect to you both and other intersex people, you guys are strong and beautiful people. Keep being awesome and remember that you are always loved 😃❤👍

I loved the tiktok about the ally hing cause I came out to my entire class because we had a book talk.
And no one got mad, no one said anything mean and also few people were really nice. Even the straight dudes that looked mean and kinda homophobic.
All were really nice but also kinda looked like they were trying too hard-
So uh yea.
Came out to class cause of a gay book and I'm not mad :)
I'm happy for you!!!!!
know that you're really brave for doing it ❤️
a win is a win lmao
I’m an ally and even tho I’m not homophobic I try so hard to look as not homophobic as possible 😭
@@snegluf That's so nice of you but don't feel forced to be too careful! Words can be interpreted in many ways and if you show that your intentions are good, most people won't feel offended by the exact terms you decide to use. Plus if someone believes you did make a mistake when expressing yourself, what’s the worst thing that can happen? It may be a little uncomfortable but it’s a learning opportunity in the end. Good luck ;)
"you're only 22 isn't that too young to have a baby?"
oof...this didn't age well, thanks Supreme Court
i love the last two tiktoks but i wish this person wouldn't put such specific labels on these people. just say they were on the asexual spectrum because you never really know what they would have specifically called themselves. i'm asexual and i love to hear that people in history were like me but it kinda makes me angry when people "diagnose" others with a label. hope this makes sense
18:44 I found that description of Edward Gorey very relatable honestly. I label myself as aromantic asexual but I think oriented aroace also applies and I’m a man oriented towards men, I don’t consider myself gay and don’t want relationships with men but hearing Edward described as gay but “identified very little with the gay part of his identity” feels very relatable to an extent; it’s fascinating seeing other people have similar experiences when you’re experience feels very niche and specific.
Might be a different type of attraction than Sexual or Romantic. But yeah, the description fits me pretty well too
Yall make this way too complicated. Where do you want to put your dick? Or where do you want a dick put in you? ASK AND ANSWER those questions to yourself, and then you'll know your sexuality. It really is that simple
As another commenter said, could it be something more like aesthetic attraction (finding people pretty but in a non-romantic/sexual way)? It could also just be a very weak romantic/sexual attraction.
Me but with Tesla bc I'm neurodivergent and aroace
I love the fact that the creator's pronouns were put at the top of the video!! 🥰🥰🥰 I honestly feel a lot better about my identity after this video thank you!

When I'm on the bus, on the way to school, I see a pride flag hanging by someones house. This makes my day :)

Same!!
same, I'm proud and yet so sad for those who didn't have the words to describe what they were feeling (or... didn't feel, I guess). Marilyn Monroe is now on the list of historical figures and celebrities I wish I could bring back just to give them a hug (if they'd like one) and tell them how appreciated they are and they deserved so much better, she's up there with the likes of van Gogh
So after having a rough day, I'm so glad I got the notification, this channel always makes me feel so happy! Also a happy day to the owl house fans today, Season 3 is finally out :D

But yes, I'm so happy! I've been rewatching the new episode so much, Dana and co. really worked hard and it shows!
19:36 I'd take that with grain of salt coz being a Polish person I've read some of the preserved rather homoerotic letters to Tytus that Chopin has written.
Fun fact the first time I heard them, we were waiting in class at university for the professor to come back. And being almost exclusively queer group, we are Japanese major, one girl started reading spiciest fragments. As professor came back we were dying from laughing and he asked what was it about so we told him. He didn't even blink and said "as you should" and started the class.
Im so happy that im asexual like Nikola Tesla, Newton, and Marilyn Monroe 🖤💜🌚🤍
You are so loved and valid😊❤️❤️❤️
I heard that Isaac Newton was gay. Is this inaccurate or was he homoromantic asexual? I am referring to a few things I heard about his journals being repressed and in them he talks about men that he was involved with. I’d like to know more if anyone has any info on this.
The fact you used *_the moon_* to substitute for *_a grey heart✨😩✋✨_*
@@AnEldritchBeing the moon is beautiful
how do you know they are asexual?
The fucking “I reacted so well I’m such a good ally” made me genuinely laugh aloud-
I have some pretty toxically masculine classmates, but they’re incredibly kind to me and I wouldn’t change a thing about them - but what does annoy me a little bit is that some of them approach me and call me by my preferred name, and drag it out. They dramatise the pronunciation A LOT, and I feel like it’s because they expect me to give them some kind of special and long thanks for showing basic respect.
I’m just glad only about 3-4 out of 72 students regularly refer to me as “girl”, “she” and “[deadname]”. It’s 3-4 people too much, but a win is a win
8:00 I just want to say that this woman is possibly the prettiest person I have seen in my entire life, holy shit

I'm a few days late to this video but I just wanted to tell someone that I got my first binder today!! I've been wearing it all day (safely ofc) and the amount of gender euphoria I've had has made me so so happy. For those who are nervous about wearing a binder, I just wanna say that it's ok! I was too because I'd heard they were really tight, but it's really not nearly as bad as people can make it out to be. Always take breaks if it becomes nerve wracking or becomes uncomfortable, and just know that it's ok if it feels weird sometimes my lovelies
You are invalid, this makes me feel euphoretic

slight rant but gender identity crisis moment !! 😍😍 im almost 100% certain im intersex and considering labeling myself as transfem but i keep getting this feeling that because im afab im not "intersex enough" to be transfem and i do not know what to do about it !!
The way that they “identify” intersex people at birth is really not all that intuitive and intersex means a lot more than what the way they categorize it biologically when identifying people at birth. So even if you were assigned female at birth it doesn’t mean you aren’t intersex, it’s just the assumption some doctor made based on warped standards. So labeling yourself as transfem is perfectly valid, if really is whatever makes you comfortable and feels like it fits you.
I have an appointment at planned parenthood to talk about getting T this week and I'm SO nervous about it, I haven't talked to anyone Irl about it either and while I'm out to my friends (and not in contact with my parents) I'm nervous about how it'll change things with them

THE VIDEO AT 15:52, I HATE MENSWEAR!!! I WANT TO LOOK LIKE A RAINBOW EXPLODED. AND ALLL THE MASC CLOTHING I'VE FOUND IS LIKE "hello, I am a normal man. These are normal man clothes."!!!!! But by embracing my inner queer, I dance around in dresses, I wear makeup, I have long hair and do allllll these feminine things because I'm a queer man doing what I want.
Funny thing, this video helped me start to experiment with They/Them pronouns!

19:18 "this makes him aroace" I hate the way this sounds because it *makes everything boxes,* I use he/they which, to most people, because I *also* use they/them makes me nonbinary, which is *not true,* everyone identifies *how they feel* a label resonates with them, and sometimes a label *doesn't,* I know many bi people who feel how pan people feel, but the bi label fits them better and vice-versa, I also identify as aroace, but have had a boyfriend since I've identified with that label, sorry for the rant, but it pisses me off that people make gender and sexuality boxes when it's a spectrum, pronouns don't equal gender, gender expression doesn't equal gender, preferences doesn't equal sexuality, and all of that
Tbh I am just so happy today :) because one of my friend told me that she was unlabeled!! And she showed me someone who was agender !! And it was amazing we talked and it made me so happy because I wanted LGBTQ+ friend since I knew I was LGBTQ+ !!

I recently (9-10 months ago) reconciled with my childhood bestfriend, when we were hanging out she used only they/them for me (we were with other mutual friends and were sharing stories from when we were younger), as to not assume what could have changed in the years we never talked to each other. This makes me happy, I'm still figuring out my gender identity, hope I figure it out eventually.
Hey fellow queers and/or allies, does anyone know if there is an official term for using they/them pronouns but still *being* feminine aesthetically? I'm aware it probably falls under the non-binary unbrella but if there is a more specific term does anyone know it?
I'm new to this as you can tell I thought I was cis until very recently.
So that’s really up to you as to what labels make you feel the most comfortable if you decide to use any at all. I would say a good way to refer to yourself would be as fem-presenting, as that term differentiates your gender presentation from your gender identity. Labels are just there to help us understand the complexities of gender and sexuality, but gender and sexuality exist on a spectrum so it’s impossible to define them definitively. I would say a good way to approach - it if you want to use labels at all - is to find something that you think fits you, you don’t have to be 100% sure about it and it can just be a way you use to describe it to people and to understand it while you’re still figuring that out. In my experience, discovering my gender identity has been a long-term process. The importance is that you feel comfortable along the way, don’t try to force yourself into any labels if they don’t feel comfortable to you, just allow yourself to experience that discovery and that process for yourself without restricting yourself by the labels that exist
Seeing the tik tok with the historic aces made me feel seen :D

13:25 I'm not transgender, but back in 1990 I did execute a legal name change (the Canadian constitution includes that as one of our rights). I struggled to get some people to change to my new name. My place of employment was the worst. You want us to change your name on all of your records? Yes, I replied. But my friends, the only people who truly counted in my life, immediately switched to using my new name. Stop dead naming people. I saw a meme on facebook a while back which said: I hope my child realises that the name I gifted them, is a gift that can be returned. Find a name that fits you and claim it. If your government doesn't allow name changes, demand it. The name I chose for myself truly represents me far more than what my deadbeat father gave me ever did.
That first one hit me like a bus.
The person talking about Intersex is absolutely fascinating I'm gonna follow em now

Another thing about Nikolai Tesla is also the fact that he had an aversion to physical contact, he did not like touching others, nor did he want to be touched. He might've identified with the term "sex repulsed" if he were alive today.

Your daughter is beautiful
ive been pronouncing in my head the xe/xim's 'x' as an uvular fricative //χe// //χim//
What is an uvular fricative and how do you pronounce it /gen
@@DeathnoteBB best way to describe in layman's terms is a whispered gargle in the back of your throat. Think a whispery version of a French r, if you know what that sounds like.
@@DeathnoteBB Like an "h" but in the back of your throat, so there's some heft to it.
@@DeathnoteBB OP uses language that is used to describe speech sounds. It's based on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).
The IPA has symbols that each denote one specific sound that exists in human speech.
For consonants you classify them by place of articulation (= where in the mouth the sound is produced) and the manner of articulation (= how it is produced; or more accurately: how is the airstream that is needed to produce any sound at all modified).
So you got your uvular fricative. Uvular means the sound is created at the uvula aka that little fleshy thing dangling at the back of your mouth. So simply put a uvular fricative is produced far back in your mouth.
Now what's a fricative? Fricatives get their name from the fact that they obstruct the flow of the airstream so much it causes friction (which is the sound you hear) but they don't completely stop the airstream. An example of a fricative that's quite easy to wrap your head around is the very first sound at the beginning of the word farther. For that sound you put your lower lip and your teeth together and then through the minimal space that's still left you push the air through (airstream is obstructed by the lower lip and the teeth but airstream is still pushed through, so we have friction). That's how you get that "f" sound.
So for a uvular fricative what you want to do is you raise the back of your tongue kinda the same way as if you were to pronounce the "k" in the word "keep" (actually minimally further back even) and once you've positioned your tongue correctly you want to push the air through.
The uvular fricative is a sound that English doesn't actually have. But it's a sound that's actually used, for example, in my native language German. So, if you want to practice this sound, listen to how native German speakers pronounce words like "Bach", "Dach", "Fach", "Krach", "Schach" etc. The uvular fricative is that sound that these words end on/the final sound (-ch).
Alternatively, you can also think of the uvular fricative sort of as the sound that vampires (or cats) make when they hiss at you 🤣
I hope this was at least somewhat helpful!
I love that i do it too sometimes.
