Nice review! I might get the V99 later for travel but I went for the ZG-S200 which is a 198Wh for using it locally here and then get 99Wh ones for travel, maybe 2. Checkout the v-mount plate by ZGCINE as well, both the with that converts your V-mount for extra power options or the simple metal one that I went with. I think in few months we should see PD100 outputs out of these although there are D-Tap to PD100 converters out there.
Just the camera powered. And big difference is the amount of time recording and what recording features. Like 6K all day, or 4k 120 or 4k 24 for how long am I running the batteries. Did I need to turn the camera off. Most shoot days I just use one v mount but I’m not recording 8 hours straight
@@MatthewDangyou I am really just a video beginner. Same camera G9, 4k, 30 fps, 16:9, no accessories, 1 lens, sub 10 minutes product stuff. I follow you and a few others with the same camera to learn and pick gear.
Honestly game changer for me! I had a wedding shoot and it lasted me all day, a client shoot on a directors monitor lasted for a long time. Super nice not needing to swap batteries out
I would contact customer support! If they don’t get back sounds like you might be able to return it then. I’ve started recommending the AndyCine V95s batteries and that has been my go to v mount lately
I purchased this battery and it does NOT charge the fx3 battery while drawing. ALL ZGZINE batteries output max 13v 2a, and the fx3 requires 13v 3a. Not only will it not charge, but it's just plain NOT safe to power your fx3 with this battery over usb c PD. Can only be used with a vmount adapter plate to convert the power
What? No that is no bueno! I would either A return it or B contact customer support. They are pretty good at fixing that. I just did another review on the AndyCine Vmount battery and I am actually a bigger fan on that battery now I think🤔
@@MatthewDangyou maybe I'll take it back, I saw a video where a youtuber said you can charge it through usb c not sure if it works for you but that never worked for me, instead I charged it through a DTap(just like any other v mount battery) and I finally got the 100%. I spoke too soon lol but I'm still concern on the battery though so I'm wait just a tab bit.
@Matthew Dangyou hey quick question: can you use this via USB port to charge a camera too? Or can this only be used with a dummy battery? Asking for use with my FX3

Yeah I went for v99 specifically for travel and flying. Never have to worry about swapping my batteries out
hey i bought 2 of this the d-tap is not 14.80 it is 16.53 which is not good
nah, it's fine
I heard a lot of bad reviews on this, especially around build quality.
Any ideas about the quality of this one?
It has held up since I have gotten it! Use it all the time
@@MatthewDangyou hmm ok interesting, maybe some ppl are unlucky with some QC issues. How long is it lasting you?
Hmm interesting. For me about 4-6 house for general Filming use. I filmed for 2 straight hours and only used 20% of the battery
@@MatthewDangyou that’s good to hear, thanks
What do you believe causes the differential between 6 and 8 hours? And that’s powering both camera and monitor, right ?

@@MatthewDangyou cool thanks. For monitor are you using dtap to DC cable?
I actually use DtAP to NPF Dummy Battery from Kondor Blue
Thanks for the product info. You must use a lot of power to run out the g9 battery that fast. Great video
Yeah depending on the shoot having hdmi out, audio, and shooting 4K 24fps 4:2:2 10 Bit can be a little heavy for camera one battery
@@MatthewDangyou That makes sense, I am still using 8 bit.
Yeah! What camera are your shooting on?

That’s really interesting! Would love to try that! Thanks for sharing! 👊😃

@@MatthewDangyou that sounds amazing! Doesn’t seem to be available right now though? Maybe that’s just in Sweden?

I’ve had mine three days I hooked it up to d tap and it literally stopped working after 5 minutes of d tap idk what to do

Oh dang I’m sorry! Yeah just contact them they would do a return for sure
I just got mines yesterday brand new and I let it charge the whole day, it still on 0% now I see why it has 2 star review on BnH 😢

For sure! Yeah if it is a faulty battery I would return it sooner than later and don’t miss the return window
On my URSA 12K it will give under 2hrs of battery life.
👍🏻
great content
something I really needed.
would this vmount battery be compatible with black magic 6k pro?
Yeah this battery would work! I haved used it on the Black Magic Pocket 4k
Insanity… thank you for showing us this.
can’t wait for the next upload, cheers
USB-B?🤔
which dummy battery do you use?
This one right here! amzn.to/3oybb4z

You should be able too! I use it to power my monitor and my camera
