Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Led zeppelin has been a shining light in a world that can be so dark. Honestly they probably saved my life in a way. I will forever be gateful for what they did for me and many others.
The sea was red and the sky was grey wondered
how tomorrow could ever follow today
Good Lyric
Going to California - Lyrics
Spend my days with a woman unkind
Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine
Made up my mind, make a new start
Goin' to California with an achin' in my heart
Someone told me there's a girl out there
With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair
Took my chances on a big jet-plane
Never let 'em tell ya that they're aw-ooh-all the same
Hoh, the sea was red and the sky was grey
I wonder how tomorrow could ever follow today-hee
Mountains and the canyons start to tremble and shake
The children of the sun begin to awake
Now
Watch out
It seems that the wrath of the gods got a punch on the nose
And it's startin' to flow, I think I might be sinkin'
Throw me a line, if I reach it in time
Meet you up there where the path runs straight and high
Find a queen without a king
They say she plays guitar and cries and sings, la-la-la-la
Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn
Tryin' to find a woman who's never, never, never been born
Standin' on a hill in the mountain of dreams
Tellin' myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems
thank you.
smoked my stuff lol
Can't say how much I love this song. Memories from my teen years...awesome.
Rock on. Me as well!

Song makes me want to cry. I know I'm 22 but I feel like life is just passing by. I'm worried I'm not living enough.
ENJOY YOUR YOUTH! Time goes by too quickly, believe me,I know!
GW I'm so sorry you missed growing up in the 70s and 80s. We are all getting old now but we have our memories and they are tremendous! Don't be sad.....you are so young! Listen to all of Led Zep's songs.....you will get a change of attitude and a huge bolt of energy, I promise! If you love this band and you are only 22, I'm sure you have plenty going for you - great taste for sure! Hang in there my friend!
Set a goal: every Saturday or once a month Something. Then get out there. Ask friends to join you. Go for it.
You're only 22, you've got plenty of life ahead of you. Nothing much has passed you by. You're actually living in the moment. You haven't even reached you prime yet. Follow the advice of those that commented on your post. Make and reach goals now, get out there and create good memories, invite friends to join you. It's all just beginning for you!
I hope you took the time and space to have a cry.
I'm in my late 50's and not that long ago my 19 year old son died in an accident. I guess he would say he lived a full life - travelled, followed his passions, had good friends. But I think he would also have said that living a full life isn't about having things or even doing things. It's about behaving like the person you want to be. My son wanted to be a wholesome person. His actions followed this lead. Simply ask yourself "What sort of person do i want to be? What would I love people to say about me? What do I want to stand for?" Your answers are your values.
Life is a marathon and not a sprint. Take your time...
All the best for your journey. I wish you well. 💕

This line is about Joni Mitchell and this song also receives inspiration from her song California. There's also imagery about Laurel Canyon in this song where Joni Mitchell and other prominent musicians lived.

The song about a man who is still trying to find the love of a women. To find that one. His heartaches for the woman that's, "never ever been born" hopeful and sad all in one song.
