This solo is seriously underrated. Like Christi said, it was breathtaking. Her musicality was amazing, her lines were gorgeous, and she danced with passion. I don't like how the show only showed her getting 3rd in the overalls when she did also get 1st in the teen division. Getting 1st place in the teen division at the age of 12 is pretty amazing. Maddie also got 1st in the teen division when she was 12 with her solo "She's History" (which is also an incredible solo) in Season 5 and everybody was raving about it, but when Chloe accomplished the same thing, it was completely overlooked. The overalls barely matter most of the time. Comparing scores in different age divisions is iffy, since teens are judged and scored so differently than juniors are. It was supposed to be some big deal that Mackenzie beat Chloe in the overalls, but really anybody that knows a thing about dance, can quickly deduce that Chloe was better. Mackenzie was amazing, too, but her technique was not as good as Chloe's. Overall, I just wish the show hadn't downplayed Chloe's success. The producers often did this with the girls who Abby liked less. Brooke actually won five or six more times than what was shown on the show. They just simply didn't air the solos that she'd won with. That is absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion. Oh well. This was a long time ago, and the girls are happy and successful now, so everything has worked out the way it needed to I suppose. :)
One of the reasons I love this solo is because it's so different from all her others. To me, most of her solos have the same type of moves just executed a little differently, in different orders, and with a different costume. But idk this one really got to me, I just really love this choreo
Abby gives Chloe sooo much floorwork! The beginning of the dance was kinda awkward. I think if Abby showcased Chloe's skills like she does Maddie's, Chloe would have a lot more winning solos.

What I don't get is why Abby got all bent out of shape that Chloe didn't win overalls. Yeah she should be better than Mackenzie cuz she's younger (and she is) but the teen division is judged so harshly compared to the Juniors. This is why we didn't see Brooke win much. She was in teen in season 1 (sometimes) so she was in a harsher judged division. This dance was fabulous and Abby shouldn't have been so hard on her.
Gina Marie yeah, and not to mention that every time Chloe and Maddie are up against each other, Abby purposely holds Chloe back! To make sure that Maddie would win over her. It’s disgusting. Chloe could totally do any Maddie solo, maybe not with as great performance ability but she could perform it very well, and even better is that Chloe could do so many different styles of dance at a much harder level than Abby was ever giving her! Abby always gave her crappy music and crappy Choreo. Only a few times did she ever get good stuff and those were actually some of the times that she beat Maddie! Which scared the hell out of Abby. Like at nationals, the solo silence and the music were amazing! And she won. Because she deserved it in because she finally got something that showed her off correctly. Abby was terrible to that kid
Then it should help you to know that Chloe Won her category for this dance. And the overalls are just for the Dance moms show because they aren't allowed to film for longer than their age group. Children in work laws. Dance competitions and the awards go on all day and not all of the competitors enter the overalls. Chloe Won a lot more than was shown because of the editing and only showing the overalls in order to favor Maddie. This is what the Dance moms got so upset about.
She did win. They didn't show it though because godforbis they show get losing. The look on Maddies face at the end said it all. She knew Chloe was gonna win

I've heard that especially for season 5, they've staged some competitions so the ALDC will win all of it but make it "look like" it was a competition. The show really just pushed Chloe down when she was winning her age division almost every time and they all they showed was Maddie.
I love love love how different this dance is! It's so contemporary compared to her usual pretty lyrical dances. I never get bored of it. It's really interesting to see her getting used to her growing body and doing all those weird angles that work to her advantage because of her height.
This is my favorite dance that she has ever done. Ever. She is such a beautiful dancer. The dance is fabulous. And the costume is beautiful. We LOVE YOU CHLOE. :)
I'm not sure about MacKenzie but it was fair for maddie to win. Tap is a very difficult type of dance that not everyone can do. It has a higher technique level if done correctly

They didn't actually beat her. Chloe won first. The show just made it look like Maddie and Mackenzie won for the drama. When in reality Chloe beat them both. There's proof and everything

I think it was great, I would've liked it even more if there was less floor work and more excitement with the choreography. There's too much floor work. I think there should've been more ballet moves put in I would've loved to see her arabesque, Italian fouettes, or penche in there. Plus a side aerial wouldn't have hurt. And instead of that switch leap I think a knee drop at the end would've been better.Just my input but overall I thought it was a good solo.

At some competitions when Chloe beat Maddie, lifetime actually told them to say that Maddie won rather than Chloe because it would be more interesting.
Lots of people don't know this about Chloe but she was also a straight A student despite having no time to study and using all her spare time to dance. I'm not sure why Abby pushed for Maddie all the time when Chloe is the better Dancer technically. Ballet teachers also say Chloe is the better technical Dancer and of you read the score sheets she usually gets a higher technical score than Maddie and more often than not wins her category but they don't show that because like the moms say the producers have been all about Maddie from day one. I'm not sure why. I think Chloe outshines her in every way. Shes the interesting one.
I wish Chloe could get a redo on this solo at her new studio. She now gets the attention and corrections that make her a beautiful developed dancer at Studio 19. This solo is absolutely beautiful from the costume to the song, it fits Chloe so well! :)
im pretty sure i read somewhere that she was constantly offered solos by studio 19, it's just that Chloe and her mom thinks that it'd be better if she didnt do solos for a while (i think they didnt wanna cause drama if the possibly come across aldc). dont quote me on this tho bc im not very sure about it :).

This was my favorite ever chloe dance. I just wish she'd had a bit longer to work on it because you can tell shes thinking too hard when she should be flowing through the moves.

If this had been a real competition instead of a tv one Chloe definitely would've beaten Mackenzie. Her and Maddie's performances were both great so I don't know who would've come out on top at a real competition
Chloe should’ve won. At times I wondered why she didn’t win especially when going against Maddie. But I realized Abby would add stuff to Maddie’s choreography that gave her higher points. She would give Maddie a turn that was a higher point than she gave Chloe. Or would throw in a more difficult move in Maddie’s dance while chloe had something easily like sliding on the floor.
For everyone who doesn't know about this or do competitive dance, the reason Mackenzie beat Chloe in the overalls is because the teens are scored more harshly that the younger divisions. Chloe had better technique than Mackenzie (Not saying Mackenzie has bad technique) but seems how Kenzie is in a younger age division she got a better score in the overalls, but Chloe did win 1st place in her age category. :)
Love this solo, honestly poor Chloe is normally so underrated and given poor choreography. Abby actually gave her decent choreo for this one, but as typical she got a lot of floorwork. Unless you're doing acro though, floorwork isn't all that impressive :/ though she killed it as usual :) slightly petty, but I love Maddies face at 2:18 , she looks worried. That just further shows that Chloe killed it, if Maddie thinks she'll lose you *know* Chloe killed it. Also, omg that last turn sequence was amazing!

Mackenzie did not deserve to beat her. Neither did Maddie. They were both fabulous but Chloe did great for what she had.

For everyone who doesn't know about this or do competitive dance, the reason Mackenzie beat Chloe in the overalls is because the teens are scored more harshly that the younger divisions. Chloe had better technique than Mackenzie (Not saying Mackenzie has bad technique) but seems how Kenzie is in a younger age division she got a better score in the overalls, but Chloe did win 1st place in her age category. :)
Chloe won first in her division, but in overalls she got third and Maddie won first overall solo and Mackenzie got second
Love this solo, honestly poor Chloe is normally so underrated and given poor choreography. Abby actually gave her decent choreo for this one, but as typical she got a lot of floorwork. Unless you're doing acro though, floorwork isn't all that impressive :/ though she killed it as usual :) slightly petty, but I love Maddies face at 2:18 , she looks worried. That just further shows that Chloe killed it, if Maddie thinks she'll lose you *know* Chloe killed it. Also, omg that last turn sequence was amazing!
