And she even made a fuss about how Kendall better not "ruin Maddie's reputation." She never let Nia or Paige have a duet with Maddie. And she probably won't let Nia dance with Kalani either.
Hate to break it to you. But kalani is more advanced then all of the girls. You could tell that Kendall was finding it hard to keep up. Nia is just not advanced enough to do a duet with kalani.
Kalani is obviously more advanced than all of the ALDC elite team girls, but that doesn't really have anything to do with my original statement. Even if duet partners are not on the exact same level, it's always great experience to work with someone new. Professional dancers have to adapt to any situation. It's not all about winning trophies.

You have to mesh right and look good together and have good chemistry and timing and dance similarly with similar technique. Maybe for fun you could put two together, but not when you're trying to win a competition that's being aired on TV. Paige would have never gotten a duet with Kalani or Maddie because it would look ridiculous. Paige's technique and gracefulness/fluidity is far below theirs, she emotes differently, her transitions aren't as good and they just don't have like dancing styles. Perhaps a themed dance would work, where the two girls would be playing completely different roles for a reason. But never would a duet like this win a competition and look as gorgeous as a Maddie/Kalani or Maddie/Chloe duet.

You don't just get to show up at these competitions. Entry fees are very expensive, not to mention the added cost of costumes and travel. I know I wouldn't want to spend all that money for a duet that wouldn't look very good. It could be fun for a recital though. Abby maybe could have used that as a time to mix up duets and give people new experiences.
I think they both danced beautifully. I feel like Chloe started out a little bit off her game, but only because her confidence was so shaken at this point. Once she was into the music, you could tell she could feel it and she was lovely

It's sad how even tho They weren't completely in synch they were more together than Chloe and Maddie latest duet. And they're almost the same height so I liked this but I wish we could get the old Maddie and Chloe to look amazing again.

by far one of my favorite duets ever - if not my absolute favorite. they compliment each other so well. a really, really beautiful piece that deserved the first place it got. and although i'm absolutely thrilled that chloe has moved on to greener pastures, part of me is sorely disappointed that we likely will never see these two dance together again, because they're positively stunning.

Chloe was great but her flexibility is regressing. i mean when you look at kalani and chloe at 1:33 it kinda looks weird cause kalani's leg was way higher and chloe's was at medium height. Her technique is flawless but her flexibility is restricting. I don't know why but is probally cause she doesn't perform many acro tricks like the other girls so she doesn't really stretch like that. Its a good thing that studio 19 is fixing it because abby did not do anything to help her flexibility. right now Chloe is getting better with her flexibility and is doing more acro at studio 19 which is good because if she would have stayed at ALDC, there is a good chance that she would totaly lose alot of flexibility and we all now who Abby would blame it on.

The girls were gorgeous but I’m not as much of a fan of the mirror image choreography. Would have preferred them dancing more together as opposed to facing each other most of the time. I’d like to see them do the two sapphires dance together. The original was great but these two would kill it.
