To manage cost of living increases we are making our own jam, spaghetti sauce, salsa, pickles, canned tomatoes, etc. from a kitchen garden these days. We eat out less and make more from scratch more. The cost of fast food is simply at a crazy level. It takes time every morning to water and work for planting and harvesting/processing crop but in the end is healthier and tastier. to have the garden Sometimes we make bread. We have always baked for home but had moved away from having a garden due to the time involved for some years. Pies, cookies and cakes have always been predominantly made at home except when on holiday. Sometimes we barter a homemade pie for a service or something from someone else's garden that we don't grow. Ice cream is rarely purchased these days Growing carrots, beets, peas, tomatoes, dill, basil, rosemary, thyme, onions, garlic, edamame, green beans, cucumber, peppers, bell peppers, sugar pumpkins, apricots, lemons, cherries, strawberries. broccoli, spinach and potatoes in the garden.

Butter has gotten so expensive. If I’m lucky, I can find a box under $4, and I’ll buy 1 box. If I’m not lucky, or in the wrong story, it’s closer to $9..and I won’t buy it (and I’m not talking Kerry Gold, just the factory butters). Also, eggs were a daily staple for us for a quick, cheap breakfast. Now, they’re more expensive than some meat!

Food, I don’t buy much and I don’t eat a lot. But some of those brands that cheated us and kind of the amount I know think I’ll ever buy their product again.
To manage cost of living increases we are making our own jam, spaghetti sauce, salsa, pickles, canned tomatoes, etc. from a kitchen garden these days. We eat out less and make more from scratch more. The cost of fast food is simply at a crazy level. It takes time every morning to water and work for planting and harvesting/processing crop but in the end is healthier and tastier. to have the garden Sometimes we make bread. We have always baked for home but had moved away from having a garden due to the time involved for some years. Pies, cookies and cakes have always been predominantly made at home except when on holiday. Sometimes we barter a homemade pie for a service or something from someone else's garden that we don't grow. Ice cream is rarely purchased these days
Growing carrots, beets, peas, tomatoes, dill, basil, rosemary, thyme, onions, garlic, edamame, green beans, cucumber, peppers, bell peppers, sugar pumpkins, apricots, lemons, cherries, strawberries. broccoli, spinach and potatoes in the garden.
