Been a sub for years, good content and I am a big EV fan. This comment is not about Tesla, this is about the Big 3 who wanted nothing to do with this. You should be mentioning this in almost every vid Alex. These automakers didn't just decide hey, we see a market here for EV's lets go for it! No, it's the politics of climate change. They were forced to do it and the investments have been huge. And it's a good thing imho. Over 200 Billion in in the US alone probably over a trillion worldwide in new factories both for the vehicles and batteries.
Like it or not guys, this is the new reality because to go back to ICE production now means giving up on billions and billions in brand new construction that is not easily convertible to traditional manufacturing. Even if a certain former president were to get elected and try to change this, it's too late. The money has been spent or is in the process. To stop it now would throw the Big 3 into bankruptcy and another huge government bail out.
They could have used more incentive earlier.

The Fiat 500e is perfect for US because we do not like to walk. So we can hop in the Fiat and drive 1/2 block to our next stop and range will be just fine. Only in "Murica!

To bad Peugeot can't make a dent in the US, I have owned several gas and diesel models while living in Europe and they have all been comfortable, durable, reliable and very fuel efficient. I would expect no less from their EVs.
When Peugeot was last in the USA, they were very unreliable and quirky. Sales gradually dropped so low until they pulled out of the USA market. Maybe they’ve been gone long enough that people won’t know just how bad they were back then. Maybe we didn’t get the same version in the USA that you all had in Europe. But ours was bad
To a degree I disagree with your assessment of Peugeot in the USA. They were out of step that's for sure, especially with the 604 diesel which literally could not get out of its own way. However, the gas 505 and even the older 304 diesel were bullet proof and especially comfortable. I saw those French diesels come into the shop with 350,000+ miles on the odometer still going strong. The bodies and interiors of the cars were trashed but the running gear was magnifique!@@dmandman9
