The moment I finished my own playthrough I knew I had to seek out others reaction to the game, thank you for the great playthrough thats not only massively entertaining but opened my eyes to some things that i missed/didnt realize before!
Man. The thing about all this that messes me up the most is definitely Jiao. She was just this kinda unremarkable kid who was trying to be more positive about her school life. Who loved her friend and missed her dad and wanted to go to university and died tragically with the rest of humanity. Despite being not all that important she became close (ish) to the person who ended up becoming the most important person in the history of humanity. Because of that she ended up "living on" long after her death. First by living rent free in a guilt-ridden Iris's head and then as a community of clones over a thousand years later. Honestly, my prediction after the fanatics talked about redemption and Iris returning someday through another clone of herself was that Blue would end up being Iris reborn and she'd try to make things right. Might have been interesting but I guess it's better to just let her rest.
Love me a good redemption arc, but alas, quite poignant, this ending, as well. Which reminds me - (spoilers for first season of Ted lasso) gotta watch that Nate Dogg redeem himself!
