Best explanation on grafting and it is important to know how grafting takes place on a plant so that you know what you are doing. Thank you sir for a well explained procedure of grafting.
Thanks for the video Sir. I'm currently at college studying a horticultural course. I couldn't get my head around the notes in study books, but this made it seem pretty straight forward. Much appreciated.
I want to graft a city. I want to take a forest and connect it. My dream is to make a place where man and nature re-unite. A place that is in perfect symbiosis.

What color has the phloem? What color , texture, thickness has the cambium to recognise it ? How is the direction of waterflow, energy flow? What else affects growth/ healing of the tissue? Thank You!
Thank you for this video. I tried grafting for the first time today and I found it really tedious doing just a simple cut. I've ordered a grafting knife as I think trying to use a butter (blunt) knife was part of my problem
So if I use local variety rootstock with different scion then resulting fruit will not have characters of rootstock ............. not a single character?
Winnie Mopayi Hi, Avacado grown from seed will also produce avacadoes but very late after many years. Hence grafting is used. For grafting you need two plants - one the top scion which produces good avacadoes and one with strong root system the rootstock. Then you use grafting to fulfill the task. If some one has a tree with nice fruits, you can collect it’s branch by air layering method and grow this plant or use it for grafting. Check what is airlayering here ua-cam.com/video/8854Jdpioko/v-deo.html
Grafting give best results because you know what you will get. Air layering is also good but flowering and fruiting time may be late. Whereas seed grown trees - everything including fruiting time as well as fruit quality is unsure!
If i graft from a good fruiting variety mango tree to 100 different mono rootstocks, the fruit quality, size will be 100% the same as from the original tree?
