You are exactly right. You would need an AI that combines all data about everything we know about the world and our universe so far to allow the AI to make complete, precise translations. It would also have to "smell" the bats, see the body temps and more for fully precise data. This is a very simplistic ai model and is still limited by humans.
Not really. The magic happens when the AI figures out patterns that link labelled data in ways that those doing the labelling couldn’t have predicted. The AI can then “generate” novel translations- it’s the core of the reason why deep learning is getting so much hype today: the fact that after being trained on human labelled data, it derives insights the humans couldn’t see.
To extend this work, they need an unsupervised learning approach that will be able to separate all the different modes of interaction. Once that’s done, they can perform clustering and associate the known patterns with their observed behaviour. This will probably leave a few clusters that are unknown to us humans. But they could use generative AI to play this back on a speaker and observe how the bats responds. From this, we should be able to correlate the stimulus-response and label the remaining classes by hand. This is how I would approach this work today, given the current state of the art for AI.

To finally find intelligent life on this planet
The guy's gone batshit crazy 😅
There will come a day when an animal will talk back...
Too short
In the UK there are schoolchildren fluent in cat.
This is one of the prophecies of prophet Muhammad: Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! The Hour will not be established until predators speak to people and until the tip of a man's whip and the straps on his sandal/shoe speak to him, and his thigh informs him of what occurred with his family after him." Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)
Reference : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2181
English is as foreign to a computer's language of 1s and 0s as bat sounds, and yet ChatGpt learned it.
Dude! Stay away from Bats! Nobody needs COVID 23😅
AI in animal language
If AI says animal movement shows their health not good in camera,
144 in that place and workers reaching to catch animals
I can talk to animals !
Oi Cat . . .
Stop shitting on my lawn !
this is so cool also i think i know who this guy's favorite superhero is
Of course we will have a universal translator in our lifetimes! Have a little faith!
Animals are lucky in that they don't have language on the level of humans.
They miss out on all the various deceptions, spins, labels and other hangups that aren't a blessing really.
I share the same dream! I am eager to have a tool to teach my birds to talk to me
We have a tool to cook these birds and we can talk eating our tasty dinner.
@@-ma I don't consider squeels as a form of speech.
@@SaintMatthieuSimard 😛😘just joking, hope you have birds talk to you soon.
@@-ma yay! Wish you the same
But what if then everything they say is super offensive and they just insult you all day💀
How exciting!!!!
Science is awesome!!❤
There are already literature materials containing information of the behaviour, body language, characteristics which is performed by animals, wildlife, pets and non human species.
If you go to your local library, you are likely to find books for things like, "Understanding your new pet kitten"
" How to communicate with your new pet dog"
ETC, etc
@@hccaeity4114 yes. Not sure if you are prepared for this... You were adopted. Your birth mother left you in the hospital after giving birth to you. She left the hospital that day without you. And so you were given up for adoption!
(I know this may come as a big shock for you. But you did ask for more revelations. 😬)
We need more AI to translate animals and plants
Nice❤
humans have different languages, so would different animals living in different paces have different languages too?
