Honestly Scorpia's spinelessness drove me insane during the show, she made me feel the most horrendous secondhand embarrassment omg (let's not talk about what that could say about me lmao). Still, i think i kinda understand where she's coming from: I think she enables Catra partially because she was coddled as a princess and a nepo baby and all that, and having someone be mean to her gives her a new mirror through which she can look at herself. Scorpia is deeply insecure and sometimes having someone say your worst flaws to your face and be openly mean makes you feel relief, cause now at least you dont have to doubt anymore. Having never faced actual criticism, Scorpia the lacks discernment needed to tell between hatred and constructive criticism and yearns for someone to tell her "the truth". That's why she is so infatuated with Catra (someone she sees as better than her, thus turning Catras meaness into valid criticism), and why she sort of took on the mission of making herself smaller and smaller until catra could make room for her. Ofc at some point she had to realize that was never going to work. Anyway i hope this made sense, srry for the rant 😭
