What I find so funny is that if a customer comes in with something restored, they always make it seem as if it lost value. Yet they go and restore something and sell it for way more than I honestly think it’s worth.
That's because some customers have their items restored cheaply and, in most cases, improperly. Whenever Rick has his items restored, especially with automotives and vintage mechanisms, the parts are either outsourced from originals or made by hand.
depends what you are restoring..books, comics are bad to restore since people covet the original item. The things they restore tend to be specifically for display purposes like coke machines which makes sense since a nice shiny coke machine looks alot better in a man cave than an old original rusty one
Bruce Fisher not necessarily so because pedals can get broken or worn out and is just about the number one part on a bike that gets replaced other than tires and tubes. PS if you looked at the back wheel that was a Bendix coaster brake with a single red stripe indicating that it was a 63 or a 65 Schwinn bicycle.
I've cleaned up chrome ten times worse. If the plating is intact it can be saved. The paint can be touched up and buffed. The dude didn't want to work on it. Period. Shame to part that bike out
I'm restoring a 65 Schwinn Colligate . This thing is built so well , Very little needs to be done. Only the originals tires need replacing. As for the Bike here, I leave it as it is.
Little did that Bob guy know, that particular Fiesta bike was thee only one of its kind that is outffited with the rarest of the rare, unicorn, holy grail, Huffy goose neck. Obviously overlooked and not mentioned to Rick. :o
The paint is in great condition. Me and my buddy ride old schwinns, and his paint is in pretty bad condition, but when he cleans up the chrome it’s beautiful.
I woulda sold the girl instead of the bike. Any girl who can't appreciate a beautiful piece like this is just stuck up and spoiled and doesn't deserve the time of day from some nice dude who took the time to find something special for his girl
He should've fixed it a bit first, or he expected her to restore it? This bike has flattish tires and a lot of rust, I'm sure at least that he could've done. Lazy or incompetent bf is not a good prospect. I personally would keep the bike, and send him away.

The guys girlfriend and him hating on a vintage schwinn. Only someone stupid would be disgusted by a 1965 Schwinn Fiesta. Way better than the schwinn made by Pacific cycle these days. Calling a vintage school junk is like calling a vintage cadillac junk.
I would have kept it for $100 that too low. It's true, boy bikes are worth more then girl bikes but 60's style and the vintage is pretty cool. Sometimes it not always worth the money to restore it.
Totally missed his pants til I read the comments and went back. I actually did laugh out loud 🤣. Actually the flip flops with them made even funnier haha
The guy who sold it could have first clean/detail it and then given it to his girlfriend. I bet she would have like it looking like new. Dummy sold it too cheap to Rick.
What EYE find funny is the fact that the bike is “worth” more as parts to them than just restoring it and keeping it in tact, waiting for the right moment or person to sell to. But I’m not the rich guy on tv either, so yeah… idk.
You can clean that chrome with extra fine steel wool and chrome polish or even just car wax. It will polish up nice. Clean painted parts and then wax them good. New tubes and tires. Its less than $100 in supplies, mostly labor. I could sell that bike detailed out for $400 - $450 pretty easy.
I know they aren't valuable, but the guy didn't even try to clean it up. I think it's a cool bike, i wonder if the light and horn would work with a new battery.
Based on the serial number, the Fiesta that I have is a 1964 . But it looked EXACTLY like that one - color, light, horn button, rack, EVERYTHING! 😲 Just had to watch out of curiosity 😄
Rick buys chips at the store Cashier: it will be 3$ Rick: sorry best i could do is 50 cents there is no money being made here Cashier: 3 dollars Rick: sorry we have no deal Leaves store
Got a gift for my girlfriend and she looks at it in disgust.
The definition of every relationship in the world.

Wtf hello no! Jesus
don't forget the part where he feels the need to buy something else as an APOLOGY for this CHARITABLE GIFT he bought for her
@laser325 just give them the D! Thats the only gift they need
Why do u repeat things people say lol fool
"I'll give ya a 100 bucks for the bike, but remember, I gotta frame it... "

tell your GF you gave the bike to charity and then keep the $100

It has a beautiful patina. Not everything needs restoring to new condition. I LOVE that bicycle.

its because most people dont have things professionally restored
How far into the void are you right now from the first PawnStars video you watched today?
so far
haha....watched all the latest ones.....now going deeper into the video list
Hahaha
I think I’ve seen basically every one😭
When you start rewatching them, is that a problem?
Gotta go, want to see if the Guetenburg Bible goes for a different price this time!
His gf sounds like a karen
Yeah...I'll bet he didn't get any booty that night.
@Reece A lol
Or a gold digger
stupid kids today, cant appreciate anything from the past, all they want is high valued materialistic items...
This bike belonged to Mr. Brown and he rode it famously
Get you a girl that can appreciate classic things.
Reflectors on the pedals became mandatory in 1968. It's a good marker for estimating age...
Bruce Fisher not necessarily so because pedals can get broken or worn out and is just about the number one part on a bike that gets replaced other than tires and tubes. I'd dump that trashy girlfriend and restore the bike and give to a new lady. Heck yeah!

It was probably mr browns bike
no. no. no.
Did it get along with you fabulously?
Mr Brown probably rode it.... Wait for it.... famously!!
I asked Rick change for 20 dollars
He said the best he could do was 5
The classics are the best hands down! I ride a '64 Colligate for cross town trips. Out of all the bikes I own, my '64 is one of my favorites.
His girlfriend passes the hipster detection test
$1,400 restore that bike you better find yourself another bike guy
Everything he restored on the show ended up as a reproduction as best. He throws away all the original stuff and replaces it with all new stuff.

Schwinn also made the Hollywood model of girls bike that same era, which was the top of the line with the tassels. Bam don't forget about those
1962 Impala don't forget the other girls model called the Starlet.
That bike just needs to be cleaned up. In clean original condition, it can easily be sold for $200.
people from Amsterdam and Copenhagen drooling over this one
0:18 there's an elf working in the store
That elf is hot!
Doesn't need restored. Cleaned. Chrome will clean up. Repainted and it is worth less.
either way, its worthless. who would buy it and for what price. would you?

They are more comfortable to ride.
