CVT transmissions don’t have 8 speeds, they don’t have shifts at all.

Nissan/Infinity new CV Turbo engines are not getting good reviews. No mention of this?
I think you may be mixed up on this. Nissan’s recent issues have been with their CVT (continuously variable transmissions) not engines. Nissan’s geared transmissions are fine, but they had some very unreliable CVTs that basically tarnished Nissan’s whole reputation. I am told the newer CVTs are better but to be safe, I would still stay away from their CVTs (but their normal geared transmissions are fine).

I used to buy Toyota products without research. I'll never do that again because my new 2020 Camry was the biggest piece of junk I ever owned. If I had done a little research I would have found a lot of complaints about the car. My 2020 Camry ended a 30 trust in Toyota products.

Like all manufactures they have some lemons depending the year it was made, you better do your research or you're going to be sorry. I test drove a Venza, I had a hard time getting into it. low head room getting in. The smaller Lexus SUV are junk due to the turbo engines. Any engine with any manufacture, turbo's mean more wear and tear the engines will not last very long. Good luck. Honda, if you don't mind wasting money on having to replace the timming belt at $1000+ each time enjoy the car. Expense no one needs at any time.

The Venza is nice comfy car unless you are a 350 pounder. It’s very reliable, better material quality and an excellent gas saver. 😊
