Thanks for this important session, bringing to light the consequences, when believers sin. This answers the question “Once saved always saved” ? Thank u. God hates hypocrisy. We must never pretend to be righteous in front of others to be seen by them. When the early church began to grow & spread an interruption was caused by Ananias & Saphira’s sin just as Achan’s sin in the bk of Joshua. When a believer sins it hinders the progress of the gospel. God’s church keeps growing whoever may be in power. When the church stops growing it’s a sign that sin has creeped in. For people loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God. We have been entrusted with the gospel by our Savior, so we share the truth in obedience to God who tests our hearts. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in His commandments. If we live according to the flesh, we will die; but if, by the Spirit we put to death the misdeeds of the body, we will live. We must have a reverential fear of the Lord and serve Him in truth with all our heart, n consider the great things He has done for us.Those who fear God will have no other fears. There are consequences for sin in the life of a believer. The early church walked in the fear of the Lord. They acted in complete obedience to what God told them to do with unshakable faith. There’s no compromise for sin. None of us are immune to spiritual compromise and so we must always be on guard. We are to defend our faith, correcting those who oppose it or are confused. We stand firm and uncompromising in faith as we rely on the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We do this by actively growing in our relationship with Jesus , learning His truths, and relying on His power to help us walk without compromise. What God desires utmost is holiness in our lives. Sin is transgression against the holy God. We can’t compromise n call it something else. A sinful lifestyle must not be tolerated. A true church will bring about transformation in the lives of its people. A holy minister is a mighty weapon in the hands of God. People seek charisma more than character. The power of the early church was in its purity & holiness. Signs & wonders followed. Jealousy led to persecution. God has His own ways of delivering His people. In spite of persecution the early church continued preaching fearlessly. Our confidence should be in the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They joyfully endured suffering for Christ their Savior. The first century church followed genuine Christianity. They had a faith that produced obedience, a passion that produced unity, and a desperation that produced prayer. They had the Spirit of the living God that produced power. May our churches of the present century emulate the early church & aspire for such men and women of God !
