It's good to see kids that young that know what they want to do and go all in. When I was their age I was prolly smoking dope under a bridge somewhere like a troll lol.
I love how energetic and excited they both look here! They look like they’re just having such a great time making music and playing it for others. My favorite act of 2018 :)
This is great! One of my favorite albums of the year so far. I hope we get to see more electronic artists in KEXP like Jon Hopkins, SOPHIE, Tim Hecker or Oneohtrix Point Never at some point.
@@mwangasama I'm not really sure what you mean by that, but if you're talking about the genre of the song, it's Bubblegum Bass or something like that. You check SOPHIE's discography, she's a really good experimental producer. Check out her Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides album. It's really good!
Rafael Martinez Kinda like how you can identify beats in hip hop like trap, I was wondering what this falls. I tried listening to her album but I couldn’t get into it fully, I’m thinking it’s a combination of her vocals and layered production that I felt needed to be stripped down more. I love her production on this though
These guys are so unique and amazingly talented! I remember first encountering them on their first visit to KEXP and was immediately entranced. Loving their new stuff!
What a couple of talented young musicians with their own fresh sound - love it!! something about their voices and that punchy retro synth sound that really works well
@I say shotgun, you say wedding You should visit beautiful Norvik, in the east of Iceland. Famous for its waterways, its celebrated broadcaster Allan Gróðursettur, and of course the poptastic young duo, Leyfðu Okkur að Borða Ömmu.
So Ffire That they playing out with more layers, very good musicians (look at YOU percussionist!)... it makes their voices blend in more, they actually can emote more when there are more layers, more full of a sound. Instead of taking away from their duet power... it actually makes them standout grand!
they're just so damn adorable...talented musicians, brave and strong enough to go on tour...there are no girls like this in my town!! none...all eye liner, energy drinks, "sick mate" and dumb af!!
Hostetter the thing that pisses me off about van Fleet is that people view them as saviors of rock when there are far more better bands like the lemon twigs and twin peaks who are clearly influenced by rock and roll, but it’s creative and they’re making their own mark in it. Rather than being Zeppelin rip offs
I was ready to hate on this group but listened to the studio versions of these songs. I liked those a lot! I don't think they pull off live performance too well. Their music seems to lose all of it's oomph when they do it live.
These girls are so talented. Their new album is comfortably one of the best of the year.
Love the way their voices work off one another.
Oh hey, didn't expect to see you here.
Hmm i guess this is what you mean by the future of rock is female :)
Cant agree more btw
Do a video about the band
That similar voice and accent really does well for them.
It's good to see kids that young that know what they want to do and go all in. When I was their age I was prolly smoking dope under a bridge somewhere like a troll lol.
Something in the way. Kurdt Cobain
*Kurt
*Curt
yes that's precisely what I was doing
..omg ..those comments...-what kind of people watched this!?.... rotfl😂
Clicked on it for the band name. Stayed for the music.
I love how energetic and excited they both look here! They look like they’re just having such a great time making music and playing it for others. My favorite act of 2018 :)
Great performance.
Came from Egderunners, after some digging.
This band deserves to make it big.
Me too.
Agreed 👍
I saw them yesterday perform live in Hamburg supporting CHVRCHES. Amazing performance. This is the future.
Habe sie am Dienstag in Köln gesehen und kann seitdem nicht megr aufhören, ihre Songs rauf und runter zu hören! Eine absolut klasse Band!
Its not just me live is so amazing
Marcus Ettling I’m not surprised cuz when I first heard their sound, it immediately reminded me of CHVRCHES! 😎
That's their best album! Every single song is so unique. I keep listening to them over and over.
This is great! One of my favorite albums of the year so far. I hope we get to see more electronic artists in KEXP like Jon Hopkins, SOPHIE, Tim Hecker or Oneohtrix Point Never at some point.
Jon was in the studio 4-5 years ago iirc! His set was crazy.
Damn "Hot Pink" is a bop, hard af
produced by SOPHIE, you should check her out
Saint Jude Produced by SOPHIE and Faris Badwan, actually. Don't forget the guy who did most of the synthesizers on Hot Pink and It's Not Just Me.
Rafael Martinez What do you call this type of production? I want more of it
@@mwangasama I'm not really sure what you mean by that, but if you're talking about the genre of the song, it's Bubblegum Bass or something like that. You check SOPHIE's discography, she's a really good experimental producer. Check out her Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides album. It's really good!

thanks kexp , this was one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen/heard in my life. super kudos to jenny and rosa, you guys rock!
These guys are so unique and amazingly talented! I remember first encountering them on their first visit to KEXP and was immediately entranced. Loving their new stuff!
Remy plays brilliantly. Love it.
What a couple of talented young musicians with their own fresh sound - love it!! something about their voices and that punchy retro synth sound that really works well
Defintely my favorite album of the year so far
Some great songcraft there. Very happy to have discovered this project.
Discovered this band the other week when I went to Chvrches as they were supporting. Havn't stopped listening to them since then.
These kids impress the hell out of me.
Ive listened to hot pink for like a year now and i had noooo idea that the vocals were this natural, im chocked and really really impressed
I never clicked a video so fast
yesssss!! such a treat to watch them perform hot pink, definitely one of my favourites off the album
Some of that slick pop production is with Sophie, but damn they’re even better live. Such dynamic voices.
I like 'em. Really dig, "Falling Into Me".
Nice sound, interesting chord progressions.
Amazing work. Such incredibly talented young women.
Probably the best new British band.
Сергей Сильченко have you heard Idles
@I say shotgun, you say wedding Yeah, and the drummer's Japanese...
@I say shotgun, you say wedding You should visit beautiful Norvik, in the east of Iceland. Famous for its waterways, its celebrated broadcaster Allan Gróðursettur, and of course the poptastic young duo, Leyfðu Okkur að Borða Ömmu.

So good. Words fail me.
Damn, two beautifully talented beautiful young women
These girls are killing it. Keep the good music flowing!
they're so cute wow good find
Here's to David Martinez. Aim high and go out with a bang.
This is so good. That sax playing is top!
Saw them in Bournemouth. Was the first time hearing them and instantly thought they will go far! :)
Saw these supporting Chvrches at Manchester 2 days ago, very good and the sound was awesome.
love them sm
Ahh the beautiful, mysterious quirky voices of lets eat grandma take into a different realm where only the few go.The Belfast poet Andrew Beattie.
When she picked up the sax, I lost my shit.
Did you ever find it?
Love their music! 😍 they are so talented 😍
Great !
I love these girls
Omg yes!
Heard them in the pre show for CHRVCHES. Loved the I'm All Ears album.
She looks like Saoirse Ronan
YESSSSS!!!! I love lets eat grandma!!!!!
На удивление приятная музыка у девчонок. P.s. "зацепил" группу благодаря названию
Revolutionaries
Estas dos son muy talentosas
We're all watching zombie movies now thanks to this band name, epic. Great set as well!
WOW WOW WOW
Am I the only one who prefers the first album? it has way more psychedelic - soothing vibe to it.
@jota erre Yes, It kinda grows on you slowly. I can't stop listening to the new one over and over again.
The first album was much better. The second one is way more radio friendly and poppy. Hopefully they’ll return to form with the third album.
@@OriginalGrasshopper agreed
phenomenal song craft. i think the one on the right be hiding some celine dion level tonsils. her pitch triggers emotions
that saxophone tho
So Ffire That they playing out with more layers, very good musicians (look at YOU percussionist!)... it makes their voices blend in more, they actually can emote more when there are more layers, more full of a sound. 2018 is crazy. 100 years ago we just got jazz and now we're here
SURPRISE SAX! I always thought that was a keyboard sound
Cheryl Waters is a great host.
Love her
occasionally being born in Norwich is a great career move.
Falling Into Me !!!
This shit is crazy!
who else has ended up here because of cyberpunk 2077?
Yo
Очень Хорошо)))
❤
"It's not just me" is like Chvurches eating The XX! :-D
I agree
This!
Oh yeah
C'est joli . Des gamins qui s'amusent et qui profitent 😁 bravo
What if Sheryl Waters had a beard
Sheryl waters is really a trippy person for some reason
You mean Mac Demarco?
Asking the essential life questions, here.
Tom Petty
thanks for ruining this and any other KEXP session I watch in future
where is "It's not jus me" ???
like like like like
seems like these tracks are sped up compared to the studio version
they're just so damn adorable...talented musicians, brave and strong enough to go on tour...there are no girls like this in my town!! none...all eye liner, energy drinks, "sick mate" and dumb af!!
This is CocoRosie for the next generation. Great!
Yes! They remind me alot of cocorosie but more poppy! I love them
Let's Eat Grandma: A Troma film.
Please someone make GINGERSNAPS 3 horror movie just so these unique badass women can play the sisters characters, and the soundtrack!
Here's to David and Lucy.
The host lady: Gotta delta.
Does 'It's Not Just Me' sound offbeat to anyone else? Especially the percussion during the chorus.
Yeah I thought the same. The drums seems very off.
Yep, same
“Nor-which”.
Whoever disliked this needs to un-dislike this immediately.
Not for me but I'm glad there's more options than Greta Van Fleet for today's indie inclined youths....
lol greta van fleet is garbage
Hostetter the thing that pisses me off about van Fleet is that people view them as saviors of rock when there are far more better bands like the lemon twigs and twin peaks who are clearly influenced by rock and roll, but it’s creative and they’re making their own mark in it. A distracting amount of playback on the first track, but an immensely enjoyable group of musicians nonetheless.
I was ready to hate on this group but listened to the studio versions of these songs. I liked those a lot!
I don't think they pull off live performance too well. Their music seems to lose all of it's oomph when they do it live.
actually i think they really made a good progress in their live performances. watch some of their lives from 2 years ago, its mostly very bad.
on the contrary they sound really good live and act energetically, especially for the band playing (mostly) electronic music
I actually think they are much, much better live than on the albums!
They are actually much better live
From knorr-witch ??? It's NORWICH I'm annoyed and I'm not even from there . Why not mention Alan partridge????
Nearly prog rock.
I bet grandma hasn’t been ate in a looong time. Good girls for eating her
