I didn’t really like him when he was a yankee but he definitely throws a lot of strikes called balls. It wouldn’t surprise me if the ump screwed him. Especially umps these days
this man is 10th all time in strikeouts for relief pitchers and his speed is unmatched but he has no control at all and the nerves are the thing that drive everyone crazy I know it drove me crazy when he played last season I was like why are the rangers putting him out there to do this shit all over again
I'm a Mets fan and glad they won but Chapman made some very good pitches that could've been called strikes for sure. I was impressed by his outing and would've been pissed off if I was him.
The Korean League uses robot balls and strikes call. It's funny when a batter disagrees with the pitch and goes to turn to the umpire to complain, then realizes it's not his call. Batter gets confused look on his face like "who do I complain to." Plus they have the video replay, so there's really no arguments there any more.
You know the ump blew some calls. They can’t call a good game and a fast hook. No one is there to watch the umpires. Just call the game. This dude is always throwing people out quick
What's wild here is that Chapman got a generous make-up call from the HP umpire in the same at-bat which he was so pissed off about. Alvarez had a 2-2 count and took a pitch at the bottom-middle of the strike zone that should haven been called strike 3 but the HP up called it low. Two pitches later in a 3-2 count, Chapman throws a similar pitch ~2 inches lower that the HP ump called strike 3. The AB that Chapman was so pissed off about ended with the umpire tactility admitting that he fucked up and gave Chapman a strikeout that should have been a walk. Chapman has no one to blame but himself for giving up 3 runs in that inning and getting tossed.
Let's not forget that MLB Umpires sit at the right hand of God and are ABOVE QUESTION no matter how blatantly obvious and ridiculous their missed calls are. If you don't believe that , just ask them.. they're happy to tell you....
So many haters here, Anyone who knows baseball knows that Chapman is one of the best pitchers of all time in the MLB major leagues. What happens is that when you are so good they give you many opportunities and you run the risk of failing sometimes and that is the only thing the haters remember.
The best of all time? Are you serious? Here are relief pitches far better than Chapman: Rivera Hoffman Smoltz Jansen Gossage Clase Hader Diaz Franco Sutter And I'm sure I'm missing at least 10 more.
WELL just cause he covered his mouth doesnt mean he didnt say something ignorant about the ump, if all he did was say something like im getting fucked or whatever then yeah thats soft.

Exactly
Exactly. What a dumb video.
I'm a Mets fan and I can tell you he had every right to be pissed. The Umpire missed at least 5 calls.
Chapman was nerve wracking in the post season in 23. It was a no brainer not re-signing him this off season.
I was always nervous when he pitched in the championship series last year. It was good to see him go!

His name says it all Edwin Moscoso which means boogers in Spanish
It’s always funny in sports when someone falls how fast everyone is putting him down , but when he comes in the league everyone is a fan 😂
He’s put a target on his back.
Umpires are so horrible now, strike calls should go computerized. End the umpire BS

He made us nervous though. I agree with you.
That umpire is the second worst one
He went to, "THE ANGEL HERNANDEZ SHOOL OF UMPIRING."
The mismatched colour of the jersey number is driving me insane.
The Mets are going to be better than people expected this year. #LFGM
Wow Aroldis used to be a force pitching and now he's just another dude
Altuve cooked him

After a certain amount of training any fastball is hittable...if that's all you got..you will get exposed in the show

The umpire must of eyeballed his mom. Hit a nerve.
Ump ball sucks. Bring on the robot overlords!
Just cuz you can throw over 100 MPH doesn't mean the pitches can't be clobbered 😂
Did Chapman argue in English ?
A lot of bad empire in mlb
This ejection is a no brainer. You cannot leave your position to argue balls and strikes.
Facts.
There were some calls that were questionable that went the other way too
Ump missed on borderline pitch and made up for it a few pitches later. Something off with Chapman.
Chapman has become the epitome of the journeyman pitcher.
He's still solid had a good year with the royals and not a bad year with the rangers last year
What he do that was inappropriate ? Anyone here after the news lmaooo
Bad Umpire calling strikes a ball purposely
Chapman is an Astros legend
You can tell by the catcher's reaction that it was a lame reason to eject him
Lot of former Yankees in this clip

•Bader

He hasn’t been the same since Altuve hit that homer off of him with the Yankees…
When he gave up the walk off homer to Altuve in Game 7 astros n Yanks. Dude been a cringe....
Show the pitches in question ....mets actiing like they won the ws

The pitch to Alverez shouod have been strike 3. Then struck out on the next pitch. Chapman imploded after that and blamed the ump lol

Lol when the NFL sends the MLB their old replacement refs just for them to be the current umps.
Chapman was sloppy in Philly, too. Walked a lot of guys, lefties.
