I am making a round one with two dollar general bamboo trays and 2 dollar tree square wood painting canvasses. I have tons of wood beads to use. Then, there will be two smaller ones so each big riser also has a small one that can be used with it. These will be Christmas gifts. Then I will make a riser for my bar using an old wood cutting board. It will have legs on it and beads around the edges. Yours turned out so sweet!! I love these risers, too!!

I think what appeals to me about your ideas is that you're just you. No fancy stuff just get in there and do it right or wrong good or bad just do it. If something falls of or you miss a spot oh well slap some paint or glue and move on. Keep it up, you are fun.

Was thinking as I watched this cute idea....stain the wood, paint the legs white before gluing to the project, then leave the pearls as they come. What do you think?
so adorable ... i love making trays and lanterns. i love using different random stuff for the feet. lol . for the waverly chalk paint, try with a wet paint brush. it helps me when i paint a large surface. and for the shiny stuff, i use the matte mod podge.. make sure it’s not the gloss🤣 i also subscribed because you inspired me to do volunteer work for my daughter(11 years old) and i. you just warmed my heart. so you have a new sub from vegas and keep doin those diy’s. you rock at it 🤘❤️

Looking at it completed, it's hard to believe how inexpensive it was, and that the feet were made from plastic St. Patty's Day cauldrons. I realized that I was smiling the entire time. You talking with us made it even more enjoyable. I usually just want to see the project, save the chit chat, but you are so engaging. I would use a bit of spackle and fill in the hole on the round top before painting. I also would use spray paint. Would go much quicker and bond better. Could use "pot of gold" buckets (stacked and glued together) for tiered riser. P.S. Toothpaste also can be used in place of spackle. Just make sure it is dried before painting.
I would love to see a tier tray that would go with what you have just made. Which by the way I really love that. I would love to make both. I don't have the supplies to make right now.
So cute! I love making risers. Never thought of using these things before though. I might add some of that Dollar Tree spackle in and around the pearls while still keeping the ball look from the pearls to keep that cute look going but fill in the gaps and take care of the gap. I love how big this riser is and all the cool things you could use it for. Thank you for the inspiration😊

I would use a bit of spackle and fill in the hole on the round top before painting. I also would use spray paint. Would go much quicker and bond better. Could use "pot of gold" buckets (stacked and glued together) for tiered riser. P.S. Toothpaste also can be used in place of spackle. Just make sure it is dried before painting.

So cute! I love making risers. Never thought of using these things before though. I might add some of that Dollar Tree spackle in and around the pearls while still keeping the ball look from the pearls to keep that cute look going but fill in the gaps and take care of the gap. I love how big this riser is and all the cool things you could use it for. Thank you for the inspiration😊
