Sounds incredible wow
Nice vid! Would you mind telling me the last setting on the EQ for the lead patch? You forgot to cover that last part and now I’m all ocd about it 😂
It's the Best!🎸✨
Great sound and video, thanks 🙏
This sounds great, could you do a demo of the legends pack. I want to buy it, the last few presets I’ve boughten from other people have been disappointing to say the least. Thanks
It’s a pretty good testament to the modeling of the mesa amp. It still sounds really good without all of the effects you added.
I copied your settings and holy sh*t this sounds amazing on the prime. Question do you have global eq on or off Dave? Thanks man 🤘🏻
That’s awesome!
I do use a small amount on the Global EQ.
It’s not much, more like an overall polish for all rigs. Sometimes it’s not really needed, but I’ve set it and don’t look at it.
@@DaveWebbMusic have you used the 10 band EQ with this?
No I just used the stock 4 band EQs.
Hi Dave, first of all amazing channel and content, very useful and nice to watch!!
I'm moving from a traditional pedalboard with effects (plugged into the amp input) to the headrush pedalboard and I would like to ask what's the best way to use it into a rehearsal room and/or live? XLR outputs into mixer or TRS outputs into mixer? First time for me doing this kind of connection so I'm a little confused!😂
Thanks!!
Hey dude. Welcome to the channel, but more importantly welcome to the digital world!
In my case I keep it simple and do TRS outputs straight to mixer. I have used XLR in a few instances, only difference was that came out hotter.
In your case you will obviously need to hear yourself, so it’s down to what you need for that. Some people feed it through the wedges, some get a Flat Response speaker and use it like a cab. If you do choose to get a FR speaker, you can still send to FoH as well straight from the board (2 outputs) and it will sound crisp!
For rehearsal, same thing. Comes down to what you need and prefer.
Hope that helps. 🤘🏼
@@DaveWebbMusic thanks!!
@@DaveWebbMusic thanks for the explanation Dave. Any suggestion on where to start to create a Coheed and Cambria preset for rhythm? Thanks!!
WHAT THE HECK WHERE MY VIDEOS BEEN!?
Just kidding! Good to see you another video from you, man!
I liked your tone with the stock Bri said, but it seemed a little bit shrill in the top end to my ear. The IR was much less shrill, but almost sounded a bit dull. I wonder if you were to blend the two if you could hit a balance in the middle?
Haha I know right!
I think maybe a little roll off on the high end might work. And finding the “right” IR would definitely make all the difference.
Hi Dave, thanks for this video. I really like the high gain peavey 5150 and i double them as well as the cabs. I have noise gate on them, but when i mute (hand stop on the strings) i here a weird digital sound at the end. I just tried the noise filter like you have and it dampens that alot. Just curious your thoughts. Thanks
Hello ! the legend pack it's compatible with the headrush mx5 ?
The secret sauce was parametric EQ.
You ain’t kidding I copied this from watching video on the prime and WOW 🤘🏻
EQ and compression are keys to great tone. But you got to know what you're doing
yeah, you should use my Metallica IRs, sound too "direct box"
Sure man. If you send them over I’d be happy to demo them on the channel.
Hey dave how about a judas priest "another thing coming tone"?
The IR sounded much better IMO.
sounded much worse to me.
@@StupidGuitar I figured I'm in the minority on this one. Most modern metal players seem to prefer everything balls to the wall. I usually gravitate towards mid-rangey, mid-gain tones.
Personally I like Marshall’s. That’s usual go to. End of the day though, I like what I like, and I do like this Mesa Amp, so I don’t even know who I am anymore 😂
@@DaveWebbMusicthe Marshall JCM800 sound good too for that pre justice Metallica tone.
mmh... came here expecting actual metallica song comparisons. none of these tones sounded like Metallica because you didn't play any Metallica..
He played Metallica solos
For headrush core?
@@Alnote27 as far as I know, patches work across all units.
What is it called for the third one
