Rockies are the best eating fish in the water.Wish they would come back like they used to be in the 80's,something killed them off in my area of PA.I get one now and again catching my Cat bait but I throw every one of them back hopefully they'll repopulate I used to just cut the heads and tails off,gut them and toss them in the skillet with some butter. Then just use your fork to peel the skin back and rake the meet off.
Thanks for the love from canada!, personally, I’m a big fan of your country! My ancestors are originally from the East side of the great white north. 😊
i believe I was using berkeley atomic tubes... white head/yellow danglers/feelers/wiggle things?. they hit on warden's in-line spinners, in pearl or white... in the small size... also sacked em' on size 10 baitholder hook with a white trout worm from BassPro shops. 2.5" i think... wacky rigged weightless
I enjoyed watching this with a beer...great video!
You should definitely do another catch and cook brotha! "Summer time and the livin's easy. Fish are jumpin' out"

Such a great video! Could you please show preparing and cooking the fish as well!
Big ❤️ from Vancouver island Canada!
I did this in fact, the video was this year… but I was eating a largemouth.

I was hoping to see how to properly dispatch and fillet the fish. Maybe do a vid on that?
@@FreshwaterFishingNovice Maybe if possible use the fake fish you used in you video on how to hold fish to demonstrate?
I agree. Please teach me how to properly cut and clean my fish 😀
What were you doing when you strung that 'thread' throught the fish' gills? I am so curious 20:47
That’s the “stringer”, is for keeping the fish alive in the water, until your ready to “dispatch” them…. Good question! 👊👊
Nice Video !
What lure were you using?
thanks

Rock bass, a native fish, are invasive?
I don’t make the rules, or call the shots. That up to Fish & Game
