You just set your flowers in the pot. You don’t make a hole for them. You don’t add no soil in the pots. It’s like you just press them in. Love watching you. Your son is precious.

I've been watching your videos for awhile now. This is my first post. You've given me so much gardening inspiration. You have no idea. For years I've been filling my garden with annuals (love colour). This year, thanks to you, I have started planting perennials and I have really enjoyed doing it. I can see your love for hydrangeas ... it's clear! Your love for them is contagious. I've planted 4 hydrangeas on my property this past year and I can't wait to see how they do. I'll keep my eye on your new fire light raised flower bed next Spring to see how they do and into the summer months. Thank you so much for posting all of these GREAT videos. I especially loved this video (hence why I am posting) because you tackled a few jobs that could have easily just gone by the way side. I'm so glad you took care of your little chickens. The circle that you put those gorgeous hydrangeas in as the showstopper, maybe two upper and lower levels of lavenders will be as beautiful as you would make it. And while Benjamin goes round and round with you, the fragrance will fill up the space😍😍😍🍃

I love that you planted the hydrangeas in the circle area. They will be gorgeous and can't wait to see what else you will add! I love your chicken coop...it is so cute! Question: I was wondering if you would do a video showing how you blow out your drip system. You inspired me to install mine this year and I have no idea how to over winterize the system. I’m in zone 7.
If you have an air compressor you can just blow it out. Take off the timer if is battery operated and store inside. Remember to remove the batteries so they don't corrode the compartment.
Great question! Does the force from the compressor blow any of the smaller tubing and connections apart?
Rita J it can happen if you set your psi to high.
I've used our 40 gallon air compresser. I just make sure both ends are open. Never had any issues.

love this beginning, the crunch of gravel underfoot, all very relaxing, and how interesting to a non tech person that you don't have the sounds of heavy breathing , or for me, huffing and puffing moving those plants and sniffing a bit, blowing the hair out of my face. I love that you've taught us to continue planting beyond dates that were considered customary. I also think your nails look very pretty, I know you don't have much time with Benjamin and the daily life in "Eden", but they really look super on film. :)

The raised bed will look lovely with the new hydrangeas. I would plant dwarf boxwood around the outer edge and fill the mid section with annuals. Looking forward to seeing what you decide next year!

I’ve found when confronted with a garden problem the solution usually makes the garden far more interesting. I like the slab in front of the chicken coup run much more than just gravel. It looked nice before but now it’s got more character. Really enjoying your videos!

When in doubt, hydrangea it out! 😂 Question: Since these Firelights bloom on new wood, do you think it’s possible to keep them a bit smaller than their full size when you prune them up each year? I know that there are similar dwarf hydrangeas available on PW’s site (i.e. Little Quick Fire), but most of them don’t seem as colorful as the full size versions. Thank you for taking the time to bring us along with you while doing your garden chores. Even though I live in a townhouse & primarily get to garden via containers, I get my planting fix (& inspiration) by watching you. I love your guys’ channel so much!

I'm glad you put some perennials in the brick area for winter interest. This year will be the first time ever that I'll have evergreens in my front garden for winter interest. It's almost enough to make me want winter to come LOL.
