Hi ...i have a 1.4 punto 2005 Those to cables from the shifter ....the top one ...after y change the clutch and put back everything....the top cable dos not have the initial position. The shifter is not right and y can't change gears.... And the pedal is soft..... Any idea??? Thanks
Few reasons this could happen • on the the top cable there is a little adjuster, you haven't pressed that by accedent. Please make sure you don't touch that. • the bottom cable is for the forward gears make sure it's not snapped on inside, take it off and pull it, if it's snapped then the metal bit where it goes on to the ball will will just come off • another reason could be you have twisted the cable • another reason could be the cable is snapped, but looks like it's ok, take the top cable off and pull it see if the cable is snapped, if yes the inner cable will just pull off. • lastly you haven't put the clutch friction plate on wrong way have you. Might be that if your saying you can't get it into gear. Check these things, hope this helps you out
Paul I'm in the middle of this exact job on my punto. Question. The starter motor. Do I need to remove this? If so, how many bolts is it that attach it?
@@TEAMR4ULTV Thanks Paul, thats now done. i have a further question. How do I get the clutch release bearing to 'fit into' the clutch release fork? Im at that stage now and it simply seems to sit on top loose.

Plz can anybody here tell me what the screw there is right below the gearbox oil filling point? In my car yesterday I have missed that screw and admitted to a workshop , they are helpless not knowing it trying to operate the entire gearbox now , plz tell me if anybody knows that and how can I find it out plz
great vid had garage change clutch for me since got car back car lights all flicker and power stering keeps cutting in and out any help as it never did it befor i put into mechanic thanks
Two things one maybe by accident they put the battery leads wrong way then for split second. If so will mess up electrical components. Or maybe they left a little Earth wire off or loose. The Earth Wire goes under or next to slave cylinder, when taking the nut off sometimes the whole bolt goes loose. Last maybe the battery went flat when they were doing the clutch and had to jump start it. Fiat Cars are very sensitive and really shouldn't be jump started, really should trickle charge it Hope this helps I'm going more towards Earth wire
You have to find out what's wrong with the car first with a diagnostic tool EOBD READER. Replace the faulty part then reset it with Reader. If it wasn't there befor you had the clutch changed the maybe it's just a case of resetting it. But you will need a diagnostic tool EOBD READER. Hope that helps
@@carlfinlayson3372 another tip if you cant get the drive shaft off just take the clip off the inner CV joint then the 3 bearings will come off and the inner shaft will stay in

Starter motors are usually held on with two bolts

High can you tell me if it is the same for my 2008 fiat bravo dynamic 90 1400cc ( reg AN 08 SYT )
Should be very similar if not the same. Am sure they are pretty same might be slightly bigger gearbox if it's the 6 speed
The gearbox fitting should be pretty much the same but obviously the gear box will be different

Is this the same to replace gearbox on a 1.9 mjet?
No it's much harder to change
@@TEAMR4ULTV in what way? How did you get the offside driveshaft out of the gearbox?
@@carlfinlayson3372 normally it comes off with a pry bar, with a pry. But sometimes you have to get prey bar or chisel and hammer it off.

I know this might sound weird but did you put the clutch friction plate on right way round
For example on LUK clutch it says gearbox side or Getieribisitte or something like that
Ball joints are off, drive shafts are off....easy peasy right ....not really usefull video as a lot of work is removing stuff
Bad filming
