  • In this video, I demonstrates how to install vertical shiplap walls in a master bathroom. The tutorial shows the tools and materials required for the project, including stock square pine, laser, glue, and nails. The video provides step-by-step instructions for measuring and cutting the shiplap boards, installing them vertically, and creating a consistent groove between the panels. The tutorial also shows how to use a spacer to ensure a consistent gap between the shiplap boards. The video concludes with the cost and time required for the project and previews the other renovations still to come in the master bathroom.

    Love your honesty!"I know it will fit because I tried it 7,8 times."lol!
    Everybody wants you to believe they did a complex cut perfect the first time.👊

    I love the editing and flow of your videos! Not to mention the ideas and work put into explaining everything! I haven't gone through the whole channel yet but hoping you have some finishing work done like how you puddy the nail holes, prep and tape to paint etc. For now I'll keep going through the playlists and enjoying the videos. Very well done and glad you do these to help people out! I see this channel bumping to 100k subscribers in no time!

      Thanks for bing watching! I have a video coming out sunday (at 9:11) where I show the process of painting a bath vanity like a pro. Covers all of the prep including nail holes :)

      Thanks for watching! Getting better at it don't watch my earlier videos :) I try to show at least the most important parts to each and every project. Hard to do in 10-15 minutes but getting there! HPH

    Thank you for the tips - my (much smaller project) kitchen peninsula upgrade looks great. Cutting some waste pieces to mock up placement along the bottom edge made the panel symmetry issue easy!

    Outside corners? Thanks in advance

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  6 днів тому

      Good question! On outside corners I normally dress each side with 1x4 ripping 3/4" off of one of the 1x4's so that the width on both sides are the same when butted together. Helps to protect the corner and the reveal from the shiplap to the 1x4 is clean plus easy to caulk the crack. Take care

    In the video you don’t mention anything about the nail holes. Do you have a process for filling, sanding and painting those?

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  6 місяців тому

      Yeah didn't cover finishing in that one. But in this video I cover nail holes and dings using a vinly spakle that works great! ua-cam.com/video/pNQbnZITpvw/v-deo.html

    Do you need to do any waterproofing to the panels, being in a bathroom? Thanks.

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  4 місяці тому +2

      No it's dried pine that was primed. I put two coats of paint on top also. It's hold up well and I don't expect any problems at all. Had it in my last house for over 6yrs - no issues. Thx for watching

    How do you do the inside corners?

    • @HomeProHero
      @HomeProHero  5 місяців тому

      Run one wall in the corner leaving a little space between the board and the wall (1/4 inch). Than you can run the oppisite board into the corner so it touches the first board. Use caulk in the crack between the two boards. Hope this helps and thats for watching!
