For Any% timing ends on the first frame of the fade-in to the cutscene with Zelda. The text mashing afterward is irrelevant, I only do it because I like to include the credits sequence in my runs.
@@CountLGwould that mean an even faster way to set up SRM to load the file name as an instruction? Like right now getting both camera glitches requiring sword, shield, nuts is all that’s really slowing this category down so that hypothetically if they found an even faster method of warping to credits perhaps without collecting sword or nuts and suddenly the game could be down around 3:0x or even lower depending on how much faster the faster method is. Right now if they knew of a faster method they’d be using it. Or maybe they’ll still need the sword/shield because faster to get to that location and maybe still need camera glitches and that same rock but maybe there’s a faster not yet known way to get glitched cameras to de-load the rock.
@@dustinfurness2155 What you're talking about is an entirely new route. When I mentioned improved strategies, I meant more along the lines of improved movement and small optimizations to the existing route. But yes, new discoveries can always push the category lower if they happen.
@@CountLG with this I’d like to see a more up to date version of the history of any% for this game. Looking trough X (used to be called Twitter) you can see that ganonless and any% were basically one time different categories with GanonDoor found back in like 2012 but using SRM and ACE didn’t really become a thing until 2020 when the any% was ganonless except that they’d still go to deku tree to get the slingshot before performing the SRM-ACE glitch pushing the WR below 11 minutes and then when it was 6-7 minutes it looked like your run except for several spin attacks prior to being hit by the deku baba and some extra spinning in circles and throwing a nut after dropping the rock to trigger the credits but now it’s like one hit from deku baba, some RNG for the rupees, and a perfect rock placement as you walk forward and the credits start playing. Prior to finding a wrong warp to credits exploit any% was basically beating ganon as fast as possible and there were no ganonless runs so ganondoor in 2012 was the any% run and before that I’m guessing fororas wind wrong warp from dodongos cavern instead of dying and exiting the upper door from fire temple and before that you had RBA shadow and spirit medallions to just go collect the light arrows, clip into ganon’s tower skipping the trials, beating both ganondorf and ganon. Before that they knew about door of time skip and forest escape and about the game only checking for spirit and shadow medallions so a similar run but actually beating those two dungeons with super slide or hook shot jump or something to go to shadow and before they knew how to get to shadow early all adult dungeons and none of the child dungeons and before that more like a glitchless all dungeons any% run like don’t grab all the heart pieces or any of that stuff you don’t need but it looked more like a casual 6-7 hour play through for what was supposed to be any percent. Get sword and shield and beat deku tree with maybe minor stuff like basement 1 skip then DC skipping scrubs and skulltulas and going straight for the bombs to go light the eyes and beat KD then feed jabu a fish before they knew they could just clip in and then open the door of time with song of time and beat the adult dungeons in the same fashion doing ice cavern for iron boots but otherwise nothing too spectacular. Beat all the trials before trial skip found and then it’s just ganondorf and ganon. Probably slower than the current glitchless 100% because they didn’t even know about all of the tricks allowed in that category or speed demos archive said that glitches invalided the run. And trials skip is a glitch. They might have even banned broken deku stick, ISG, and ocarina items from the any% category back then so 100% was collect everything so your inventory said you had everything and they were all collected from source without glitches and any% meant you could skip extra heart pieces or item upgrades not actually needed to beat all dungeons plus the final boss. No bomb hovering, no GIM, no WW, no RBA, no BA, to hookshot jump, no super slide of any versions, no ground jumps, and rolling and jumping a specific way for basement 1 skip or maze skip would be gray area tricks best avoided. A completely different animal than what any% has looked like since the discovery of DoT skip followed by skipping all but 2 dungeon followed by RBA to skip all dungeons before beating deku tree anyway because GanonDoor faster than RBA medallions due to the trade quest and now people don’t enter any dungeons and only collect sword and shield because just talking to Mido is faster and the shield is necessary for the next part of the glitch anyway (shield, target, Navi when hit by deku baba for camera glitch) and they need the nuts for the walking while talking glitch. All just to carry what used to be a rock but the rock deloads so that you can tell the game to read your file name as an instruction to warp you to credits. 100% NSR also used to be a lot more interesting. Used to be able to use RBA, BA, whatever to give yourself a lot of the items but then it turned into a series of SRM glitches that look like you’re going for any% but you die instead with one of the newest versions of that having you die inside your house a few times just loading the game and then oops you have this menu and you give yourself all the items and warp to the credits. Before that it was more like making a bunch of file names and doing SRM so you could type a series of instructions to tell the game to give you a debug menu you opened in the kokiri shop and give yourself all of the items with the menu there instead.
awesome sidehop angles. "midgame" and "lategame" is really funny in the context of this run
i literally just checked the leaderboard and watched your 3:49, as soon as i finished it updated to this run. crazy run, congrats
Amazing, well done! Gotta love 4 bush rng 😂
This is so insane, well done.
My whole childhood in 3 minutes. That's insane.
Surely your childhood was comprised of more than just running around kokiri forest at the beginning of the game, right? 😏
@@CountLG Okay, about half my childhood. LMAO
This guy can't be stopped. Congrats!!!
Unfortunate midgame but wow, gratz on the record, much deserved!
THIS GUY NEVER STOP
WTF you're insane ! GG (going for 3:47.xxx)
Everything makes sense!
13:12 based video lenght lmao
I thought the timer should end after the final input. Here we can see he is still pressing A and B for the text.

This guy is insane bruh
Probably less than 3 minutes of gameplay after subtracting textboxes and item cutscenes
congrats!!
That's my goat 🥲
Bonkless! Gg!
No bonk! GG!
goat
Well done! How low can this category go?
At least mid to low 3:4x with a flawless & very lucky run, but probably not more than that without improved strategies.
