I remember this. Less than a month after 9/11 and we were all still in shock but this woman somehow made it all better. Many others cancelled their NY shows but not Tori. This woman, what a badass.
I went to this show on a whim at the suggestion of friends, who were also going to be attending. I decided to go at the very last minute and I didn’t even have a ticket. I figured I could just meet up with my friends afterward. When I arrived at the Beacon theater she had already started performing Stan. As I was getting out of my cab, I had a ticket scalper pop up out of nowhere and because the show was already going he ended up selling me his best ticket at $10 over face value. To me that sounded like a steal. I got through the door with no problem, but unfortunately, I had to wait till she was done performing Stan before me, and several other people that were late could go in to our seats. My ticket was for a seat in the second row just right of center and it was one of the top 3 concerts I ever attended. She had such an amazing energy and her performance was almost hypnotic. Watching her on here does not do it justice compared to watching her live.
I was at the October 11, 2001 show at the Beacon!!! Cannot believe this, because I've said since then that the most spellbinding concert I've seen was that show. I had already seen Tori 3 times before that, but that post-9/11 show was unreal. OMG I can remember waiting for that damn curtain to drop during "'97 Bonnie & Clyde" -- my hands are sweating now just waiting for it!
This was the first time I saw Tori Amos. October 2001 at the Beacon right after 9/11. I was 16. I was sat next to her parents and her friend ❤ Two rows ahead of me were Hilary Swank, Kevyn Aucoin, and Scott Wolf. Anyone there that night? I'm not sure if it was October 9th, 10th, or 11th. Earlier that week my friends and I went to see The Conan O'Brien Show. First time in the city after the attacks. Such a strange time.
I attended this show and almost cried when I found this video of the entire concert!!! Brings back so many wonderful memories. Thank you so much for the video!!!
Love it! Still have my t shirt from the Strange Little Girls tour! Still have my program from Under the Pink when she played at a high school! Have my Plugged tour program she signed for me. Hey I'm a Raspberry Swirl girl and proud! Still love this lady!
I was there. Almost lost my shit when I heard the chords going into Doughnut Song. Went to 10 shows, and only heard it that night. The next night, Here. In My Head. I missed Flying Dutchman on night three 😞. Caught one of the DC and then the Upper Darby. What a week!
Why do I get cold chills over and over here, 🤔wondering what it must be like on the receiving end of this little Red haired Tsunami I’ve seen many of Her concerts and This Right Here ….. I think I felt a flag go up😉anyone else feel this ? Well Anyways … What do I know …., Thank you for posting …much appreciation
Phenomenal tour! I would see Tori for the very first time live during this run a few days later near Philly. Such a magical period in her career. Voice & spirit in top form! Beautiful capture; thanks for sharing with us!

@@mastertapenetwork6342 is there a way to purchase the 3 nights from the Beacon 2001? Or a way to have the second night (10/10) uploaded? That was a particularly amazing show and I know a lot of people would appreciate the chance to see it again.

I was living in NYC at this time and wish I had been at this show.
She also showed up to play "Time" on Letterman for his first show after 9/11! She really pulled through.

Wow definitely one of her best performances right after 9/11! She is so beyond talented.
