Cliched to say "music saved my life" but this song in particular has been so meaningful to me lately on a personal level and this version with the improv that feels like a release is so amazing. She's incredible.
This is such a dazzling brilliant genius performance! Musicianship and artistry at the highest level. And seemingly improvised and spontaneous, when she slams the lid on her piano, and her reaction at the end, suggesting a “where in the hell did hell did that come” sense of surprise and wonder, and outpouring of love and respect from her audience, live performance doesn’t get any better than this.
I am crying and laughing at the same exact time. she has always read my soul so very perfectly at the exact correct time- since 1994. So fucking ethereal and powerful in everything she does.
This video does a better job of capturing the energy in the room and the ovation after than any of the others. This was the most magical and powerful moment of any Tori concert I have ever experienced (and there have been many). So incredible.
@@skyetrance exactly. One time i saw her 3 times in one week during the scarlets walk tour. Omg when it was all over. I actually missed her. Like a friend. The meet and greets the shows. It was a cool week.
Man, Little Earthquakes is an album I wish I knew of in my early teen years cause that whole album is so cathartic, theurpatic, and healing. The way she built up Crucify at the end was so emotionally gut wrenching I couldn't control my tears ❤
I am 49. I saw her at a po dunk place in Orlando with Little Earthquakes, when it came out. She threatened the bartenders with walking out if they didn't quit clincking their glasses, together. Fell deeply that day, and still 20 something later, still ardently...........
These chains oh Not again These chains we put ourselves in These chains girls not again These chains they are breaking now These chains boys not again These chains they are breaking I am never going back again to crucify myself I am never going back again to crucify another girl I am never going back again to crucify another boy I am never going back again to crucify myself I am never going back again to crucify my land Never Going Back We Are Never Going Back Again to crucify ourselves again Never Going Back Again to crucify ourselves
Phenomenal performance of Crucify

@@skyetrance IMHO the most entrancing live version of this song is played on Sirius XM. The way she hits the high notes is just stunning.

That is art without Garfunkel, no doubt.
Where is this Tori on the current 2022 tour?
She played this in Raleigh (I was there) and it sounded just as good.
pu... cette chair de poule à la fin
Wow, I was a fan of this song back in the days. But now watching this old lady in a teenage outfit singing out of tunes is a little cringe.
that is not a "teenage outfit" at all and Tori Amos does not ever sing out of tune.
