There is definitely something magic about a fresh bed of hyper g. I always hear something like 'oh, i thought that ones out' from my opponent but the ball drops inside somehow. I even like it after a few hours of playing as the launch angle decreases.
For spin 1. Who have slow swings go for textured or shaped poly works best. Black widow, any solinco string 2. Who have fast swing speed and body rotation. Go for snapback and low string friction. Rpm blast, ytex square x. It helps if you know your limitations haha
kirschbaum proline evolution is super underrated and its my favorite string of all time. It's also very budget friendly and maintains tension very well.
I've bought Proline Evolution about 18 months ago. Never looked back. For ever I've used Luxilon Alu Power, Big Banger, and mostly those mixed with natural gut. Evolution changed all of that. Never tried anything else since switching to evolution. Excellent blend of power and control, great spin potential, and best of all, it's also easy on the arm and holds tension great.
Its one of the best strings ive tried, great tension maintenance and durable even when i had it on a hybrid with synthetic gut, i just came from a year long elbow injury so im using kirschbaum xplosive speed (soft copoly) if not i would definitely play with the EVO, have you tried the pro line rough?
Thanks for this! Been wanting to try Black Widow but other reviews are either from ages ago or not that convincing. Haha Your video did the job. Using Solinco Hyper G right now.
I agree with Volkl V-square. I have it on my Wilson Burn 100S CV and it's super nice. A similar string you can find cheaper than V-Square is Genesis Trionic. I also really really like the underrated Genesis Hexonic. It has good control, spin and durability. Hexonic also holds tension nicely. I like Gamma Moto better than Ocho. It's very similar to Ocho, with a little more power, also nice spin, and a couple of bucks cheaper, so there's that. Moto 17's specs are also very similar to Hyper-G's and Moto can also be found little cheaper than Hyper-G.

I'm currently using a hybrid of Kirschbaum Pro Line II Rough in the mains and Kirschbaum Evolution in the crosses... I really love them!!! Lot of spin, and GREAT feeling!!!!!
Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable... Had it paired with a round poly in crosses. That string is scary, physically sharp to the touch, spins even when you don't mean to, shaves the balls of their felt so you play and ball pieces fly in the air around you
I"m playing the Revolve spin rounded on clay and the Revolve spin with 5 edges on hardcourt.. has very good snapback.. I also use to put relative low tension on my RF97 and gives very good kick and spin.. used to play with the RPM blast rough, but that one is insanely riggid and not so arm friendly.. getting older, revolve is a good choice.. even on high level
Kirschbaum Max Power 18 and MSV Focus Hex for control and spin are very good and affordable in reel. Tension maintenance is excellent for the Kirsch and good for the MSV as well.
Volkl Cyclone has enormous spin and doesn’t lose it’s tension like the strings you have just reviewed. Can’t believe it’s not in your top 5! Best Bang For Buck....
Peter13 Never had a problem of losing Spin. I have tried the MSV but prefer the Cyclone 1.20mm. Maybe you are burning the string when stringing it! Again Cyclone is the only poly I have used that doesn’t bag off. Unlike the strings mentioned in the top 5. Cyclone is cheaper for me to buy than all the strings mentioned in the top 5. So, I’m not sure how this string is so expensive for you? Also Cyclone Tour is another good option.

Babolat has amazing spin! More than solinco for sure but unfortunately after 1 hour of play it loses its grip and become worse ... this is what happens to me and my pure aero. But 1st hour it’s true amazing.
I kind of want to hear your comparison between luxilon and hyper g. Is Ali power thought really worth the double price? As far as I can tell, it's not. But I want to hear what you think
tension loss of alu power doesn't make it worth it. Only if you have your own stringing machine and you can buy it in reels then it's fine, but comparatively to hyper g in playability, tension maintenance, and price alu power is losing drastically.
