i remember the 1.0 20 swing zeal locks, and i also remember that if you missed on the first swing, you missed on every other swing. ahhhh the good old days.
My main project character right now is a zeal barb,with passion pb on the offhand and a near perf eth fleshripper on the mainhand. With max ias and the way attack speed is averaged when dual wielding, he can zeal faster with the ordinarily ias capped dagger than a paladin ever could. With all the points saved on combat abilities by using Passion for zeal and berzerk, and a Fury fanged knife on swap to prebuff a Hustle fanged knife using the frenzy staffmod, he is free to invest all the way into grimward and find potion to massively debuff foes- it doesn't work for bosses but I have an alternate atma setup for that. According to maxroll he's doing about 70k dps to gward debuffed cows,with 100% cb and ds . If I was a bnet millionaire with 451 small charms, I'd be experimenting with a gargoyles bite plague javelin/venom proc ranged barb with twin 5/5 poison faceted swords on swap and on the main offhand,a 5/5/3 barb helm, trang gloves and bramble armor. Wanted to do something similar with poison dagger charge rings, the damage number actually look viable for both,if youve an absurdity of high end gear. Lol I need to get a pc.
i reckon at all levels, zeal should give 5 hits, but the levelling up bonus adds flat base damge to the weapon you are using, and doubles it if you use a 2h weapon.
Zeal pre limit cap was terrible. Zeal would attack each enemy once before continuing. If you got surrounded you would have a harder time killing anything as you took damage and were more likely to get stuck in dodge/block lock.
For the most part yeah, it really depends on how high your AR is, and what your fighting. -enemy defense is half on bosses though so not quite as effective there.
8:24 Paladins with 15mp at level 12?? 18:37 😂😂😂 act 1 x8 characters, I would make a restart with 1 to Sacrifice in Diablo II 1.06 on my desktop Windows NT. Soon as I got to level 12, those points straight to Zeal, evil rogues vs 12 Hits... Computer did not work afterwards 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... I was not online
Zeal is just insane, and when grief came it put it on another tier.

I do not remember Zeal with more than 5 hits. That would certainly be able to be classified as “zealous.”😮.
Guess I'll put a point or 2 in zeal when my hammerdin gets to maggot lair. Heard it's pretty brutal there lol

Next patch they should make zeal finish a target before moving on to the next. Probably never going to happen tho

Isn't Conviction -92% enemy defense just better than +1000% AR?
For the most part yeah, it really depends on how high your AR is, and what your fighting.
-enemy defense is half on bosses though so not quite as effective there.
